In this video we are going to talk about the Smart way to train abs with calisthenics. I will be talking about the top 3 calisthenics core exercises. These exercises can be used to create a killer ab workout or core routine to build strong bodyweight abs. These exercises won't get you six pack abs, the appearance of the abs comes down mainly to diet and percentage of body fat. Use these exercises in your bodyweight training to master your body.

Is this included in body by rings program?
This is probably the best core training advice I've seen on CZcams so far. And reverse rollouts? I'm gonna start training those TODAY. Thank you, Daniel.
10 seconds in, Dan already gets straight to the point - sit ups and crunches are ineffective! I'll calm down, and as I enjoy the rest of the video, I hope you do too 😄
I imagine the people who dislike my thoughts and opinions in this video are misinformed. Those who think that crunches or situps are a good use of their time and energy are generally the same people with 0 results, real talk. To think flexion based core exercises are going to get you jacked abs is laughable, that's why I came straight out with this statement.
Getting strong on big compound exercises AND being lean WILL reveal the abs. I've always thought of core training as accessory work to get the most from strength exercises or skills. But hey, I'm here to help and change people's thinking so they can get results.
FitnessFAQs the best in the industry 🙏🙏
Are these the best core workout? I do the roll-outs from 10 months. Now I do these with extra weight, but i'm looking for new harder exercises :/
markus Crunch are more effetive then plank...I saw a video they use electronic sensors to read data and its good for the abs.
markus EMG studies show ab rollouts are one of the best exercises for muscle activation. Daniel is on par with Jeff Cavaliere but I am not sure I agree that crunches are pure garbage. I think studies will show that, done properly, crunches are another great exercise for abdominal activation.
That said, I don't do them a whole lot. I prefer hanging ab exercises. But beginners aren't going to be able to do hanging exercises. Also, it's important to target obliques, which neither rollouts nor crunches activate.
The first time I've ever seen a video with over 2k views and no dislikes. What a time to be alive.
William Santiago go outside!!

Renato Farias it was good while it lasted
0:31 Ring Roll-out
1:52 Leg Extension - Knee Tuck
2:52 Leg Extension - Straddle Tuck

Do these also work obliques?

High quality content guaranteed. Thank you once more, Daniel.
Two years later and still providing value. Thanks so much for this!
So good Dan. Hanging toes to rings or knee raises are excellent additional movements to these
oh damn u just showed us a new way to use the rings in the first 5 seconds
Fantastic tips! These are going right into my practice, thank you!
Thanks!
I've been only doing the L-sit and "wipers" for a while now to improve my climbing skills, think I'll incorporate these variations of the roll-out!
Thanks brother for the amazing content, you're helping me a lot.
Love your content
Fantastic video , it’s great to see someone who knows what they are talking about . Thanks for the tips
2:00 I do this exercise pretty often with an exercise ball because it’s in a workout program I bought a few years ago, but I’ve never seen anyone else do it until now lol nice
only a dead beat personal trainer with no clients. who LOVES MINDLESS CRUNCHES would dislike this guys videos.
He is an awesome teacher.
Fantastic video...always right on point, explaining why you should do that. And always new exercises to vary your programs and progressions
Your vids are wonderfully instructive and encouraging. Keep it up, Daniel!!
Quality content as always, DAN.

Can I ask what you think about what sort of rep ranges and training frequencies are ideal for doing posture exercises?
Like cable overhead pulls and facepulls, posterior pelvic exercises (like the ones in this video actually), and serratus anterior exercises for scapula winging fix. I've heard that high reps is good because it trains the type 1 muscle fibers which are supposed to be active for a lot of time. But it'd be good to hear what you think.
Moderate rep range will be best for training smaller, stability muscle groups in very strict movement patterns.
At the end of the day, increase weight, sets or reps on the posture exercises chosen. You wouldn't keep intensity and volume the same with strength training so why treat prehab exercises any differently?!
That makes sense. Thankyou
Great video as always. Now if i could only set a ring at home would be even better.
Damn those last two are genius! I use the ring rollout touch and combine it with a ring fly into a RTO planche lean touch. I do reverse hip raises to help with back lever and planche but that reverse ring rollout seems much more superior! Add a little of lean to that straddle extension and boom, perfect planche trainer!
Awsome video man, thank you. Can you please do somthing on false grip training, best way to train for it in your opinion, frequency, etc...
Absolutely perfect.
Eccellente video. Excellents exercises!
This is helpful as I have a weak low back and lower abs and strong arms. They do excessive work in calisthenics drills so this will help me
Nice video!
Really liked this video. I’ve been looking for good ring ab exercises.
Mostly do the front and back lever for abs with L sit. This is a nice alternative. Allows you to put in more reps.
Thanks
This is just what i needed
thank you for sharing
You make the rings inevitable tool for all exercises!
Nice exercises .. never taught at these kind of exercises with rings
Best fitness chanel, saludos feom Argentina.
Nice video bro! But how do you incorporate these exercises in your workout routine, like how many sets/ reps rest, how many times a week?
Nice work ☀️
Yeah,something new,thanks a lot))
Thank you.
Thank you boss.
Effective Exercise, i will give try.
Great content
Fantastic video
Great video
I wish you would have made this video earlier haha. Great video brother thanks!
Great info! Just have a little bit of fat right above my belly button that’s being stubborn that needs deleted
The crunches and leg raises are effective but nice video :) These exercise are really hard. I can't do them 6 days a week like the crunch, leg raises and planks 😅
That's good, thanks.
I like that last one a lot
You are fcking awesome buddy!!Thanks💪✌️
Thanks for adressing this topic. The ammount of people I see thinking that to get strong abs you just have to do crunches is absurd. You see them do 100 crunches but their core stability is non existent.
Incredible advice, thank you very much. Wow, can you ever feel your core with these exercises.
Edit: typo
But those reverse rollouts! That is like no joke next level.
Great video! What do you think about L-sits for ab training?
I tried a couple reps and really started to feel it😎 and it also looks like it could carry over to planche
I like this guy
Ring roller! Yes.
Great stuff mate. Hey you briefly mentioned breathing and I have a question on that. I've only recently noticed that my breathing tends to happen in my chest and not my stomach if that makes sense. I noticed that my chest and rib cage expand but my stomach pretty much stays as is and I don't really feel any air getting into the lower part of my torso, is this normal? And does this adversely affect core strength and training? Thanks
Gran vídeo lo que no entiendo es tu idioma, me pasa lo mismo con la música!
ure so fkn great thx
Dan my boy. When you going to 1rm weighted chinup again bro! I want to see that 200kg weighted chinup.
Your channel was mentioned in The Age newspaper.
Your abs are out of this world
Super
@2:48 - I've always wondered about applying lacquer to wooden gymnastic rings and if it would make the grip slippery, like plastic?
Cool thanks for more weapons
Hi Dan regarding toe/floor touch stretch, ought knees be completely locked out? Thanks
