Always put your precious child next to the huge animal which as the signs say 'may bite'. Excellent. 😂❤

The Blues and Life Guards are going to have a nightmare when they come back. The tourists are not being dealt with the way they usually are and the Gunners line up differently for the change of boxmen.

Why would the fact that the gunners line up differently make any difference to the Blues & Royals?

Each regiment has their own way of doing things. I have to agree with you about these guards should be a bit more vocal.

A good example of a smart working walk is the lady guard.

I think all the horses should have kings emblem on the saddle blanket if they are kings horses as I understand that the police sometimes are able to use them or if some need extra exercises

As a fan of AbFab I really think there should be a dress code for touroums - some are appalling 😂😂😂😂❤❤

Am I correct in assuming the difference in uniforms are different units on assignment?

They are The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery usually seen pulling the gun carriages and firing salutes at State occasions . While The Household Cavalry are having a break they stand Kings Lifeguards .

Now…why did who do what? Was it the child who saluted? In America (and maybe even in Canada, though we don’t see our military that often), it’s pretty common. Kids see the guards and recognize them as soldiers. They know saluting is a sign of respect, so they salute when they see soldiers. Unlike some, I don’t get the sense that he is mocking anyone. If you’re not in the military and/or don’t know someone who is, you probably don’t know there are rules or etiquette around it. I know there are military procedures for salutes, but don’t know what they are, myself and have never had reason to look it up. Maybe I will now, lol. But it’s not something I’d expect people to do.

The thumbnail of this video has a big arrow pointing to the person he's talking about, lol. It's the fellow near the end of the video in the pink/red top. He crouches peering at the horses and at one point, briefly planks his backside on the pavement to stare at their hooves/lower legs - then marches off. It is rather peculiar.
But no it's not a big deal for kids to salute the soldiers (there's some cute shorts out there of children e.g. dressed like them doing it and the soldiers doing something special for them in return) and it's pretty obvious when it's mocking, e.g. teenagers, but police chase them off when they notice disrespect.
