The comments lately have been hilarious. This was filmed way back in 2009 so you can do the math and figure out how old the kid is now. When I was about 7 years old, my pops forced me onto the Back to the Future Ride at Universal Studios. I was terrified, I screamed and cried the whole time. Years later, I watched the entire trilogy and fell in love with it. Shortly thereafter, we all took another vacation to Universal Studios again and I eagerly went on the BTTF ride again... and had a great time. Obviously, my experience isn't representative of the whole, but now that the BTTF ride is gone... I'm glad that I got to experience it twice. What was originally a terrifying childhood memory for me literally became an exciting and thrilling one.
That’s how I felt about Space Mountain. I didn’t want to go on as a child, but I had to. I didn’t throw a tantrum though. And I ended up loving it once I was on. Face fears.
They should have given this kid a choice whether to ride it or not. This reminds me of a time my parents tried to get me to ride something I didn’t want to.
My 24 year old who is special went on this at the end of 2021 for the first time. We got all belted in and right before the lights went down, she says "ohh, i don't think I want to do this anymore". We said, "Ohh, sorry, seatbelts are locked". And up we went, haha. She loved it :)
Not for kids who are on the spectrum or have sensory processing issues. Their brains process things much differently. “Safe” to someone else is clearly terrifying to another. This isn’t a tantrum. It’s fight or flight kicking in. Big difference.
@@brookelipoff475Look at the pinned comment. He wasn’t scared of the ride. He was throwing a tantrum because his grandpa didn’t buy him something that he wanted. Context matters
I have some advice for those who plan on taking their kids to any theme park: if your kid doesn't want to go on a ride, DON'T FORCE HIM to go! Tantrums like this actually delay the dispatch of a ride (or even back up the track if it's a tracked ride).
Which is why Disneyland and Walt Disney World need to take some extreme measures, like BANNING kids from entering the parks for a few days to age 13 if you are gonna make a crying tantrum. I can't tell you how many times Mom and I had to deal with screaming spoiled brats while waiting in queue lines for attractions like (shudder) Stitch's Not-So-Great Escape. There was this girl of around 10 years old throwing a tantrum just like this kid is doing. (Mom gently told me that even I was like that.) I have some advice for those who plan on taking their kids to any theme park: Tantrums like this actually delay the dispatch of a ride (or even back up the track if it's a tracked ride). Best solution would be to outright BAN families with bratty kids from entering the park, at least for a few days to age 13 for a cooldown period (trust me, I think Mickey and Minnie want kids too someday, and THEY will need to teach their kids how to behave in public the same way too).
@@Bradly105 Never knew that. I'm always wondering why parents bring young, crying, screaming kids there. They're the ones who ruin it for those of us who want to enjoy it without being hit by strollers and smelling dirty diapers. These kids are too young to be there and can't enjoy it. Leave them home!
@@Angie2343 What you're saying is extreme.....unrealistic, uncalled for, and inconvenient for the price you pay. If a kid doesn't want to go on a ride because they're scared.....a staff member can take care of the child while the others go on.....why do you want to punish the family as a whole? It's not like when the kid cools down it won't happen again.......you have to communicate with each other.....and understand when enough is enough....not torture the child emotionally.
He is being a brat. I have 3 kids and they have rarely tried to pull a stunt like this. I’ve been that kid too. He. Is. Being. A. Brat. Period. He doesn’t have anxiety, he’s just spoiled and acting out.
@Ashley Marie What is he doing wrong? How is he being spoiled? Is it spoiled to NOT want something. It's not the end of the world if he doesn't go on the ride. His parents are the ones not respecting his boundaries. Hope you have fun in the nursing home 🤷♂️
The kid is not having a fit, he's just terrified. Me personally, am not scared of heights, but I know several people who are and if this kid doesn't want to go on the ride, do not make him! It will traumatize him and make him more scared.
Kid’s just scared. That said, I rode that ride recently and I thought the “don’t ride this if you’re afraid of heights” warning starring David Puddy was a bit much. Probably scared the kid. I can also understand standing in line forever and having the kid change their mind last second.
When my dad took me to Disney when I was a kid I would throw fits like this but end the end I would listen to him and go on the ride. I’m so happy he made me do it all cause it created awesome memories and made me face my fears as a kid
You mean grampa? The parents are probably somewhere else and were like: " hey we have to go to the bathroom. Can you watch him before the ride starts? " Like this guy was forcing him. Some say " blame the kid, they're spoiled brats " how about blame the guardian who's forcing the kid to do it? Cause if they continue to force the child to do it, despite being scared. The child will continue to scream and cry, thus ruining the experience for others.
This reminds me of how my brother talks me to going on rides. He made me go on the new king Kong ride at universal. In line I was really scared but he said King Kong is just a fat gorrila who plays bongos. Then I had a great time on that ride. I hope that kid liked the ride. Also I'm 11 so really I'm just a big baby.
hes just spoiled, the ride probably doesnt even go high, he just wants to do whatever he wants and he was probably not even riding anything! So thats why the grandpa told him to ride this, because he probably asked to go to disneyland, and threw a huge fit, and then when he finnaly goes, he doesnt want to go on any rides, WOW!
For anyone who doesn’t understand this ride is called soarin and I have went on it also he is crying because it lifts you ten feet into the sky it is in the land EPCOT
I used to work at an amusement park. There's one thing I starkly remembered for other than operating rides; if I noticed a guest being forced to get on a ride he/she don't want to get on, I was supposed to stop them from getting on. Or if they're on board, let them off the ride before starting the ride. I let some kids off of a Roller Coaster while it was in the station because they wanted to get off.
@AYDEN Productions the guy walked off with the brat lol. So no he didn’t but he should have gone through with it. He needed to break the fear. We have become such a weak society. This is a Disney ride for gods sake. Heights my butt.

That man looked too old to be the kid's father, maybe that was his grandfather.
Grandma and Grandpa
Andy nice!

That’s how I felt about Space Mountain. I didn’t want to go on as a child, but I had to. I didn’t throw a tantrum though. And I ended up loving it once I was on. Face fears.
Those poor grandparents.

I feel bad for the kid :<
If he doesn't want to ride on it, hes not gonna do it
They should have given this kid a choice whether to ride it or not. This reminds me of a time my parents tried to get me to ride something I didn’t want to.
Same my parents tried to make me get on this like 2 months ago
I was forced to get on x2 and lex luthor and I ended up fine

Even with the kid spazzing out the music still gives it that Disney magic.
My 7 year old cousins told me to like this video and I decided to. They laughed so hard.
I can hear "watch your children" in the background at the end of the video!!!! 😂🤣
The pain in his voice and screams are so unsettling
Kid is just a brat
My 24 year old who is special went on this at the end of 2021 for the first time. We got all belted in and right before the lights went down, she says "ohh, i don't think I want to do this anymore". We said, "Ohh, sorry, seatbelts are locked". And up we went, haha. She loved it :)
At my Disney season at Disneyland I was like what are you serious? I’m gonna get the next ride.
This is literally the best kids safe ride there is there all u do is watch a screen
Wow, you forced your child into doing something they’re CLEARLY uncomfortable with. You’ve failed as a parent.
I think that was his grandpa and not his parent.
@@BrianSterowski failed as a grandparent, sad

(Mom gently told me that even I was like that.)
I have some advice for those who plan on taking their kids to any theme park: Tantrums like this actually delay the dispatch of a ride (or even back up the track if it's a tracked ride). Best solution would be to outright BAN families with bratty kids from entering the park, at least for a few days to age 13 for a cooldown period (trust me, I think Mickey and Minnie want kids too someday, and THEY will need to teach their kids how to behave in public the same way too).
Angie2343 you do know they have a daycare, right?
That’s not advice, that’s just common sense.
And they said Disneyland was the happiest place in the world

It is it's just parents forcing children to go rides they don't want to go on
He isn't a brat, he Just doesn't wanna go there
I can’t blame him, I didn’t wanna go on that ride either

Mam 💀.the grandpa waited prob 1-2 hrs for this ride. The kid is going on no matter what 😭😭😭
That grandpa wasn’t taken no sh** from no one! 💀
Kid’s just scared.
That said, I rode that ride recently and I thought the “don’t ride this if you’re afraid of heights” warning starring David Puddy was a bit much. Probably scared the kid. I can also understand standing in line forever and having the kid change their mind last second.
Imagine just trying to have a great time but the little shit ruins it
POV: IM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS! (ride is 1 feet tall)
When my dad took me to Disney when I was a kid I would throw fits like this but end the end I would listen to him and go on the ride. I’m so happy he made me do it all cause it created awesome memories and made me face my fears as a kid
This is not fair. The kid clearly doesn’t want to go on the ride and the dad is forcing him. That’s terrible.
YEA
You mean grampa? The parents are probably somewhere else and were like: " hey we have to go to the bathroom. Can you watch him before the ride starts? " Like this guy was forcing him. Some say " blame the kid, they're spoiled brats " how about blame the guardian who's forcing the kid to do it? Cause if they continue to force the child to do it, despite being scared. The child will continue to scream and cry, thus ruining the experience for others.
0:00 i can hear the man screaming.
I think that kid is going to be crying on that ride or something.
0:00 the man just said come on to the kid.
Happend to me once but I love high and scary rides now :)
The fact that I figured out that is now 15… 😂😂😂
This reminds me of how my brother talks me to going on rides. He made me go on the new king Kong ride at universal. In line I was really scared but he said King Kong is just a fat gorrila who plays bongos. Then I had a great time on that ride. I hope that kid liked the ride. Also I'm 11 so really I'm just a big baby.
I bet afterwards he was like I want to go on again

Probably because the ride doesn’t even move
He is screaming trying to get the lad to understand but he ignores
hes just spoiled, the ride probably doesnt even go high, he just wants to do whatever he wants and he was probably not even riding anything!

Umm is he forceing that kid to go on it?...
Honestly I see why he threw a fit
