We review and demo the ProX XZF-DJCT W Control Tower and ask the question, is this the future of DJ facade frontage for mobile, wedding, and performance DJs? Fits DJ Controllers like the DDJ-1000, Rane One.

like you said, there's other options out there. i would of liked to see this piece also hols a pair of turntables and a mixer for us dj's that like to work with a controller and tables and a mixer.
Thanks for making this review.
Our pleasure
Questions- Does it wobble when you scratch? Also, How easy/hard is it to access the front of the controller underneath? I'm getting the Rane One and the mic controls are on the front.... Lastly...do you know if there is room to fit a 1U wireless mic reciever under the controller? Thansk in advace.
How to rack mount 2 wireless mics and a mixer below for wedding mics and possible other hookups . Leave cables in tower part etc.
We have had some customers do it easily w a little DIY - it def can be modified but has only so much space inside as is.
@@TheDJsGuru There is a 2U unit as well
I would like to see one to fit RANE 72 WITH Denonsc6000m with a pionner rmx 500 effect machine on the center with the wood platform for it all white?
Its coming â
The laptop holder looks a lot different than the one in the photo on the prox website also on the ProX website the latches are on the inside of the stand here it shows they put them on the outside of the stand interesting
This is an original version it may have been modified since.
You said they "come with" cases? Or do you have to purchase separately?
loving it Justin. how's cleaning with the wood design?
Magic eraser âïž
What about the new ProX Z table with the controller built in? Will you be doing a video review for that?
Hey Bruce, yes we will :-) From seeing it in person and using a comparable version we like it already, but are excited to see the ProX spint.
Very good product. I have the white and always use it for high class events like weddings, corporate events and Quinceneara's
đŻ
I love the product but I was hoping they will find a lighter case like an SKB case instead of the wood case
@@djchinotsp0422 do you know if your control tower will fit turntables and a mixer?
@@DJMykol not sure about that
Anyone know if a DDJ-FLX 10 will fit this?!
Forgive me if this has been asked already. What if you change controllers? So it only fits a handful of controllers. For example have the pioneer DDJ 1000 and that sounds which control one that goes next to it. Is there no way to have custom tops made?
It comes with other tops to fit other controllers
@@djrome803. yeah, I know that but it only has a small list of lids hot can get
Will this control tower fit (2) turntables and a mixer? Or is this just for the listed controllers?
No, not w a top plate at least.
After wrestling with my hoerboard I'm seriously thinking about keeping that in the office and getting this.
Let us know thedjsguru.com
Brandon Shabazz, what problems do you have with the Hoarboard (Stereo T I guess) ?
@@DidierWolfs time it takes to construct. I also wished it had some rack space.
@@brandonshabazz255 Regarding rack space, I have everything in flight cases and keep all the gaffer, accessories, etc in a drawer flight case. way more convenient than putting this or that on shelves. Regarding the time to construct, that was my feeling too and why I did not place the order yet
I would love to see it all wired up. How easy is to keep the wires in there? Or do you need to take the wires out every time?
Wires port down through the hole and then you should have a power block somewhere to keep it clean.
For the amount of money they charge for this unit you should have power cables built-in
I like it. Itâs always going to be a little more of a hassle if you want to be different. Iâm personally over seeing dj facades especially dj facades with speakers on tripods behind them. This looks more moderen. I can picture this with some RCF Evox 12âs or EV Evolves for a nice clean look. Iâm happy with my Video dj booths but this could be another option for me.
Ty for your comment!
Consider some 44g2's over the Evox 12's ;)
@@bakereventco I bought the 44gâs after hearing them at NAMM but I still like the Evox 12âs over them. Iâm going to be purchasing the P900âs in white next đŹ
@@patrickbutlerentertainment5020 Nice.. what do you prefer about the Evox 12's?
@@bakereventco The bass sounds punchier and I like the overall tone of the tops. It's fuller and richer.
I like the unit BUT being a seasoned DJ I know people will try to put their drinks on it donât get me wrong itâs beautiful but itâs a novelty
Ty for your comment
You had the top-plate upside down.
đ
You went to pick up the microphone and the whole top piece came off! I need something thatâs better well-made maybe with some real wood
The item is made of wood entirely, the top piece is made to come off to work w diff controllers we just had it in too tight. That said we always recommend a product that works best for YOUR needs. Ty for your feedback!
I can few my hysteria coming on strong
We KNEW it! đ
my back hurts just looking at this vid. Wood is gonna get chipped and damaged so easy
Agree to disagree. đ€·ââïž
I love it but I donât like the narrow base.
To easy for drunks (like myself) to knock over
Lol
đ€ So do you think this is the future or nah?* Need advice or a deal?đbit.ly/buy-control-tower
Trying to compare this to the Bunn Gear Booth
Similar - the user decides which they like best.
@@TheDJsGuru i think the lack of rack mounting your gear below is a negative - but i do like the cases they come with .they are really slick
@@allandenola5968 itâs def a unique item for sure.
174 lbs seems lightweight for Dwayne the Rock Johnson
đ„Ž
When the facade cost more than your controller đ€Ș
đ€·ââïžđ
@@TheDJsGuru lol it's nice and looks great but the price is just a bit ridiculous. Great reviews btw đ
@@marviklima5568 haha thatâs why we said itâs not for everyone. We totally get it! Ty!!!
It does look nice as do other similar styles. However, I do not see it being the future of DJaying. Setup time with cable management? Cost? Not very Mobile due to weight? And the every lasting, âplease donât place your drink on my tableâ lol.
I love the evolution in this industry and lived through most of it ( yes old ). To save cost, you could just scrim a 4 foot table and set your controller on top. Wait! Isnât that way we use to do before booths and facades?
But seriously! Very creative idea. Comes down to ... do you want the audience to see your controller and/ or do they really care if they see it.
Thanks for your comment, let us know if we can ever assist you at TheDJsGuru.com
Just a little over priced and not âmobileâ enough with having to carry two fairly large cases to transport. If they can find a way to collapse the legs and keep it to 1 case itâs a possibility.
Itâs definitely a beautiful design. Donât get me wrong.
Thanks for your feedback!
I definitely agree on the over price you can DIY this project for approx 1300 if you have the proper cutting blades nails and drills/screws
@@jovanimartinez4680 agreed if you have the time and skill you can DIY pretty much anything that doesn't plugin. Some of us don't have those skills nor time, so it's great that there are finished goods like this available. Thanks for your comment.
@@jovanimartinez4680 the raw material worth of that product isnt even 200 buck...most valuable item here are the transport cases
The microphone there looks dumb. I think that's more for another laptop stand.
Agreed.
Brilliant idea..I believe Joe Bunn started this manufacturing facade.. excellent idea
Incorrect - he actually got the idea from the original Hoer Board. www.hoerboard.com/
2k for that thing? For 2k I could built you something like this fully customized for your needs and equipment. Also outfitted some fancy gadgets or light effect like fe programmable leds. Even sprinkle it with gold or fairy dust is no problem.
Fairy dust??? We just want that!!!
I built one like u described..
@@ericoduro2856 Thats the way to go man, now you have something truly unique.
You're not charging enough. đ
These things look a bit sterile
Nope it looks silly
