Puts an instant smile on ones face to see the cattle following you down the field.:)
Good dairyman knows his cattle and I can see you have a lot of heart for your dairy. Very well kept premise, you deserve the best in farming.
I remember the days of 4 covers and loads of tires, lots of hard work, but fun when your a kid, nice one Adrian!
Silage pit looking the business now with the covers and bags complete and a great looking bunch of heifers.
what a lovely landscape you and the animals live in.
Great video--- place spotless as usual
What a nice clean farm, respect to you good sir.
I will say, there is one thing I like about bovines over hogs.
Cows won't eat you, if you fall over in the pen.
You make farming looks so easy Adrian
We have the same troubles as everyone else trust me, but i’ve learned over the years to just go with it and not stress out as much I guess 👌👍
Diretamente do Brasil para dizer caralho, que propriedade linda! Toda estruturada, sem barro, com equipamentos e tudo mais. Coisa q 90% dos produtores brasileiros da pecuária já mais vão alcançar!
top job ! far cleaner job and probably a hell of a lot easier than tires when it comes to opening it too
If Eamon Ryan & co hear that heifer farting they'll be sending you out a carbon emissions fine!! lol
Nice work, you have a great set up there.
Awsome video Adrian more hands make light work pit looking great 👍 no more Tyres Adrian 👩🌾👩🌾👍👍👌👌🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🚜🚜
Absolutely love your videos Adrian not a farmer but find everything u do super interesting keep u good work 👍
I'm new to this channel and I just love it ... Can't wait to see how the pit project turned in Dec...
Great video Adrian there’s some shine of them heifers a credit to you
Great video!
Remember putting on straw dung? Tyres were a pleasure 30 years ago…
Top draw Adrian top drawer...
Keep up the great work...
Thanks Paul
We use those green mesh covers on our corn silage pile to keep the racoons from making holes in the plastic. We still use tires on top for weight though, I'm not a fan of the pea gravel bags (I don't find they last very long)
Great video as always Adrian, the dairy farm I worked on years ago we always used a disc mower before and after the milking herd what a difference it made but we used a topper for the beef stock and followers,
And I'm going with my original guess that you are getting a new static fuel bowser mate for that small bit of concrete.
Good to see you using a great system to cover the pit seen that years ago at royal highland show thought it would be good unfortunately not enough ground to keep a lot of cattle but sheep do well 👍
Great vid as always, i think i would be making some movable barriers to put in the yard at the head of the pit to stop cows from getting on it, we all forget to close gates from time to time and as you say...its sods law they will be all over it if they could.
Lovely heifers Adrian some job with the new covers on the pit a lot cleaner job keep up the great work 👌👌👍💯💯💯
All for the love of Butter😊
Wouldn't be a diesel tank/pump by any chance....
Great video!!! All farmers take note..😀
Very good look forward to Sunday 😎😎🤠🤠
Interesting alternative for sure, I have been thinking about exploring alternative options to the tyres for next year. I hate them, dirty eye sore
I wish we had that much help to sheet up !
Great vid. Thanks a mill
Such a nice guy 👍👏🏴
great looking cows! so well kept
Greetings from Las Vegas ... love all that green.
Love the looks of that covering system. Love no
Tyres even more. 😂 Really interested to see the results 👌
Ud be able to do the same if you didn't have to fix john deeres
Fingers crossed it’s a success as it was so much handier to cover 👌👍
@@paddy1758 that makes no sense 😂👌
Cracking group of heifers and great video as always 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Those Rhino covers are a great job, I started using them last year. Got them in McCabes in Canningstown, absolutely no waste with them and I just used 2 new covers under it with no walls and sides were perfect. Also a clean job when using the silage, I don't miss the tyres
That’s great too here hopefully we can report the same 👌👍
Ah now. I thought this was a farming version of Father Ted. Getting them cows through the gate. _''Go on. Go on, go on, go on, go on......''_ :)
Lovely to see someone else on the Interwebz familiar with one of the greatest series ever created.
You'll be having a cup of tea father
@@bam-skater _Tea???_ FECK!! {:o-)
A enjoyable video good luck with that cover on the silage pit 👍👍
Great video, pits a good looking job
Me running after my beef heifers and then you see the ease of this :P
Great video by the way! Super job!!👍👍
You could try having the covers held down with water filled bag like hoses instead of pea gravel so they when empty are just rolled away for storage and unlike the full bags of pea gravel a damn easier to move. Also have a big pit wide roll up stainless steel strong but flexible metal mesh to hold down the cover with those water filled long bag like hoses over the mesh tied to it.
Dad's white string was a good idea, I am surprised though you don't have a rail there as you do on the sides? Your farm though is a beautiful thing. Could you use those now spare tyres as a cheap dirt-packed retaining wall rather than concrete? by your shed/barn.
No I’d say most of them will head of for recycling, thanks David
May as well burn em Adrian. Light a bit of heating oil and you're away
Don't worry about gloves least you will have no bother fwom flyes, and free from worms 👍
Great vid. Subbed and looking forward to more!
The ball of manpower helps also!
I’m so impressed with the design of that cover . It’s so well thought out and to be honest I was half expecting you to say it had a system so you could do hospital corners .
Todays farming 👍👌
Great video keep up the good work.
Great vlog A....just imagen your father hadn't don't the fence, all that hard work would be tears
It would of been some mess 🙈
@@IFarmWeFarm oh stop there would be more than a few choice words but thank God the auld boy saw the danger
tidy lking job adrian handling thm sandbags wld do as a workout
I miss working on the horse farm down the road from my old house I use to go down there an help them work the cattle into the shoots to practice for the rodeo the did roping cattle and broncos. An they where Spanish ppl an man I've never been so well fed an taken care of before by other ppl besides my family. Killer vid an you got some nice cows for sure
New tractor for 2 weeks time is my guess 🤔🤔
Great stuff Adrian
Neat job on the pit
The cover looks awesome! Love Pest😉 I thinks she’s purposely keeping you on your toes! No idea what the surprise is, can’t wait til Sunday. Stay safe!
Great vid, is it a Kingspan Diesel tank
another great video Adrian
Good Job 👍
For a second I thought that you created a human-sized foosball court
Looks great 👍
Is it a tractor generator you getting. When you get a power cut you can put a tractor on to milk cows
A great video Adrian keep up the good work 👍
Very well done nice set up. Is it easy to recycle farm tyres.
Farming looks so difficult but that’s coming from someone that lives in the big city
Pit looks a good job, I'm having a cup of tea while watching this before going off to help a neighbour cover a pit. We'll be doing it old style, fert' bags filled with gravel and tyres. I will definitely need a shower and change of clothes this evening.😢 Concrete base is for a bunded diesel tank?
And the bags bursting on ya half way through the lifting, I'm going to price up the bags for sure, they fact that they wouldn't hold the water it a plus.
U will really notice the benefit come winter and no tier's to shift 👍
Adrian. What is the best company to go with for the tyre recycling?? We have a load of tyres from when we done pit silage, could do with getting rid of them!
I have no idea, i will be on the search for one
Kingspan diesel tank with electric pump on it for filling
great vid
great video adrian how many cows do you have
Heifers are looking great! Brilliant video 💪🏻🏴
How about something that looks like firehouses that you roll out and fill with water. That should be heavy enough. If it burst in winter the weight is still there. It will run off in the spring. Might have to add mor hose to replace the burst hose in the spring put it should be cheap.
Is the pouron not supposed to go on one spot between the shoulders rather than down the back ? Losing good % running it down the back ,
No down the spine works best. Remember it’s designed to soak it so the higher and great the area the better 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm Thanks Aidan, its just both pouron,s used advise "One spot between the shoulders", i used to do it down the spine also, just wondering has the administration advice changed ?
yeah blame the cow, thanks adrian
Poor massy just don't push her too hard take it easy until case is ba ck ya know I really do like ur vids alot I learn a lot wich is good cuz I'm making a business plan for a farm soo thank u sir keep up the good work . Also he'llo from farm country in Colorado 🇺🇸 USA and I'm a big guy 5x in American size do u have any much that would fit sumone my size I really dig that black shirt u had on today black with white trim n the logo on the back.
Nice job Adrian on both heifers and pit would it be a generator for yard say it needs to be wired up .
Great video Adrian. 🖒
One thing I'm wondering, will you have the Case back before Gerry puts the 3650 back together again? 🤔
😂😂😂
I hope so 🤞🤞
Nice job but is it really just swapping tyres for sand bags which have to be filled also, use the bags myself on edges with tyres and they work well! Many hands make light work!
You can get the pee gravel in half tonne bags, then use one of those bottom fertiliser stopper plugs and fill them on the loader. Could fill 100 bags in no time and that’s them done for years to come. Thanks Bob
Put is looking well. Will you put some second cut on top of will you bale it?
Bales this year as the pit is full enough I think. Not worth striping off for a few acres to fill it to the max
👍👍
Is it an electric diesel tank Going in that square
beside the shed
Ah adrian you're blaming your farts on the heifers😂
Fine lookin heffirs there 👌👌
I don't really see the appeal of tires or sandbags.. why not build a tarp that can be filled with water? Then you just hook a pump up and fill it up/open the valve to empty it.
What does the paint do?
Tail paint ? When heifers or cows are “bulling “. ie riding each other the one being ridden is cycling or ready for mating with the bull or ai technician when being ridden the tail paint rubs off
Starts at 9:20
🤟🏻🇨🇦
Get some curing on that concrete!
Well
I didn't tell you're not from around leaf palms
What a ruff cost per square meter for the job.? Plastic and green cover and bags?
There’s a link in this video’s description to price all up, we don’t know the cost as these were supplied to us. Measure your pit and you’d get a quick price over the phone. 👍
What is that green cloth called. I need some.
Beats the heck out of a silage silo.
Those heifers have some shine on them, will you be giving them the garlic lick again this year to keep the flies away?
Yes it with them this 3 weeks, it and the pour on worked really well last year
So how will you get rid of the tires
Probably bring them into the company that sold him the tractor tires over the summer, they would take them a few loads at a time.
When We were young We'd try to scrounge a few tyres for bonfire night, probably not appropriate in these environmentally aware times..... 😊
Dig a big hole and bury them
They will be all recycled, can’t wait to see the back of them
@@IFarmWeFarm i wouldnt get rid until you know for sure you wont need them again.
What kind of drone is that over the pit at 11:02 , great video again some job to cover the pit
The guys have a man with them filming it too, it was a DJI inspire one
@@IFarmWeFarm ah thanks I was just wondering that’s a serious drone
Do you need to add more yeast to silage the grass like that?
No it makes perfectly good silage as is, there are additives you can get to add to the grass as it runs through the harvester which aids fermentation. We haven’t used these yet but we may sometime to see the results.
Some job lad , tidy as always 👌👌
