    I was promised to be able to help people with some specific things. I had a feeling I’d have a lot of experience with those things in trials and sure enough I did and have but now I have a deeper understanding of what it’s like and how to heal from them so I can better help others and live up to the promise I was given to help others. It flat out says yikes will be hard but there will be sunshine as well. We can learn so much from our blessings even when they seem simple. There’s so much more there.

    I love President Eyring sooop much! He has a beautiful heart and I LOVE that he cries, it tells me he is speaking the truth. Having the Holy Ghost move you so deeply you can’t contain is the beauty of his faith and love for our Heavenly Father, His son, Jesus Christ and I bet he loves and appreciates the Holy Ghost. I know I do, he’s my best friend. I don’t know if its right to say that. I don’t think it would be wrong. This man has a beautiful heart. I won’t do well when he is called home. I pray for him, his health and the way he walks and everything else I see he’s struggling to do. And that hurts my heart, cuz I don’t think he will be around much longer. I’ll be a basket case. But it will glorious for him to return and be with God and Christ, family and other apostles…so that will be the best day ever for him and I will be happy for him thinking and knowing that.

    Let me give you my personal testimony of patriarchal blessing they are not mentalist fortune telling. My patriarchal blessing mentioned specific things that no one except but god in heaven above knew about me and my life. Even my fears of particular sins that I had committed. Talents and blessing were revealed at that time in my life that seemed to belong to a completely different person than who I am now and I did not recognize until years later and some one else pointed them out. My blessing has been fulfilled thus far completely even down to the specifics of my life no one else knows in this world but God does. I feel true pity for anyone who believes their blessing is a sham or a manipulation. They truly have thrown away a pearl of great price for the swine of the world.

    Casting out Doubt or Fear is such a big Emphasis in my PAB. Cast out your Doubt and fears about all things and see where it gets you. Think about who the Savior is as if he's standing in your presense. Call upon them to see you and they will come. There are many people they seek bc of their desires to see them. It is our manner to form a desire of love and happiness for them. Turn your heart upon them like a child visiting the temple the first time. Fill a need to stand in their presences.

      Its not from the new testament, its from the old testament. He mentions that in HIS blessing, the patriarch giving the blessing quoted or used verbiage from the new testament chapter of 1st Corinthians, one of his favorite scriptures, indicating that each patriarchal blessing is personalized and different and proves that the Lord actually knows each and every one of us, as he is our Creator.

    I think the greatest problem in the LDS Church is not doing enough to get a man and a woman to come together in the act of matrimony. Being single at 45 years old is soo hard because of watching other people around you have someone and the outside world acting like it's not important and doing anything together in their free agency no matter good or bad. My other problem is being the only member left alive in my life other than a few Aunts and Uncles to live alone for what the next 30 to 40 years without someone to go visit with Christmas day gatherings and social events. I could tell you the worst part of my life but it's not my point in my Journey but the real truth here is we are not doing enough in our church to create this gathering between men and women. This is one of the biggest problems the LDS Church faces bc of desire to choose is what we are taught and we cannot do anything due to there being no partner in life.

      Thank you for your comment. You bring up a good point that I think many others who have watched this video and posted comments might also misunderstand. A Patriarchal Blessing does NOT contain things that MUST happen (as in the corrupt philosophy of predestination which denies free will). A Patriarchal Blessing is CONDITIONAL, listing POTENTIALITIES that MAY happen depending on our own choices. God always respects personal agency. Anyone who doesn't want "a bride and many children" should never be forced to do so, even if a blessing offers that potentiality. The "Patriarchal Blessings" page on ChurchofJesusChrist.org describes the conditional nature of Patriarchal Blessings, such as this quote: "Only by following the counsel in a patriarchal blessing can one receive the blessings contained therein."

      What made you change your mind to believe that Elder Eyring is manipulative and Patriarchal Blessings are fortune telling?

    • @jong9173
      @jong9173 Před 3 lety +9

      @@ChristianEternalism a lot of things have helped me to reach these conclusions.
      For starters, with patriarchal blessings. The patriarchal blessings use the same tactics as any fortune teller or person who acts as a "mentalist." They provide overtly generalized "predictions" that could be true for just about anyone. All it takes is some general knowledge of the target, such as someone who is raised in the church. Eyring's example of his patriarchal blessing in the video is a perfect example of this, about how he will have a family someday. It is a pretty safe bet that just about everyone raised in the church will have a family at some point. Lots of blessings promise temple marriage or serving a full time mission. When those things don't happen then there is always an excuse that some of the "predictions" are meant in an eternal sense, as an deflection. Further, members are counseled to strive to work toward and strive to be "worthy" of the promises in the blessing. This is actually a situation where a self-fulfilling prophecy is created. It is called a Pygmalion effect, when someone thinks that something will happen, they consciously or unconsciously make it happen through their actions or inactions.
      As far as Eyring using his emotional inflections to manipulate his audience, it is easy for me to see a pattern. Often in the church emotional expression is used to create a similar response in the audience. This is because humans for the most part are empathetic, good, and kind people. If you laugh, others around you will laugh. If you cry, others will try to console you and will mirror your emotions. You can try this yourself, it is observable in any context. In the church we are told that our emotional feelings are the spirit talking to us. We call this the feelings of the spirit. The problem that I find is that I feel those same feelings in lots of other areas. I feel those feelings when standing before a beautiful mountain lake, readying a beautiful poem, or watching an inspiring movie, or music. Just because I feel these good feelings with these things does not mean that everything is a message from god or the spirit. Emotions are easily manipulated and are really a chemical process in our brain. As a member, I have often heard it said that people who have depression can't feel the spirit. Why is that? and how cruel is that for a god to deny someone who is really down and in a dark place to not be able to feel the spirit. Those are people who need to feel love, but can't.
      Eyring is a master at using his voice inflections. If you are wanting to know the types of examples of this, feel free to watch this CZcams video of Eyring at fireside. It outlines all the different techniques he uses. czcams.com/video/dcdqj37fbWo/video.html

      Lol it's just out of care. When you are feeling the spirit and you're next to someone, you wanna reach out in pure love.

    It's like when psychics do cold readings.

      Yes, my blessing told me I would have sons and daughters. First four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. That sounds very much like a cold reading from a psychic, they can tell the future like that.
      Seriously, you don't know much about how this works if that's how you feel. A man literally meets you, puts his hands on you and speaks. You can't really get a cold reading.

      @@drewhanna9057 of course you can. You don't understand the law of large numbers. You don't know how many others were told things that didn't happen.

      @@oriolesfan61 I'll give you that what I mentioned is a 3/8 probability, so not super safe, but not a huge stretch. But also, a cold reading? It's still sounds pretty silly to say. At the end of the day, I have seen so many miracles in my life personally, that even if the Lord didn't approve of this church, I know that He would understand why I thought He did. That's the best I can do, and I am fine with that.
