    The Magpie overdrive, from Mojo Hand FX, is perfect for the player looking to add a touch of gain and harmonic complexity to their sound, while preserving the essential tone and feel of their rig. The Magpie features a 3-way clipping toggle for choosing between the Crunch mode's low-to-medium gain dirt and compression, the Boost mode's clean, transparent push, or the Overdrive mode's low-gain, organic richness. Throw in a full-range tone control, and the Magpie becomes the perfect partner for any great sounding tube amp. Like all Mojo Hand FX pedals, the Magpie is made by hand in Texas, USA, using premium quality components, True Bypass switching, and rugged, hard-wearing, UV-printed graphics.

    Andy, my friend. That is the best Traffic I have heard outside of Traffic. Wonderful work.

    Picked this up from Pro Guitar Shop a few weeks ago. Very happy with the purchase, from the customer service at PGS to the excellent tones/quality from Mojo Hand FX. Andy shows the true range of the pedal very well. Thanks to all!

    The intro sold me! What a great sounding pedal and great playing. I've been loving the Chris Robinson Brotherhood's latest album and this pedal nails that awesome country-blues-rock jangle.

    This might be the best low gain drive ive ever heard really, like a really transparent tubescreamer but with more clear gain.
    Good demo Andy you really covered all the potential of the pedal!

    Medicated Goo! Heard the Black Crowes cover it last year. Great tune!

    I just had an odd thought. I was thinking about how people always comment on how Andy often plays without a pick, and then I realized that we see more of Andy's hands than his face, whereas if this were a music video, it would be the other way around. And when Mike plays, we never see his face. It's like it's more pure guitar-ism.

    "So follow me, it's good for you
    That good ole fashion medicated goo" :) yeah and thanks for the Traffic riff in the beginning. Love it.

    I'd like to offer my services as a sort of polar opposite of Andy - I'm a crappy , no talent gutarist that DOESN'T play like a pantheon of gods . We'll demo the pedals together to show the full spectrum! how 'bout it?

    Why don't you guys review more duesenberg guitars? Like the Double Cat, Caribu or an updated version of the Star player TV. That would be awesome.

    In your opinion, how does this compare to a JHS Morning Glory? I have this one and really dig it, but wondering if the Morning Glory might be closer to what I’m after.

    • @jordanebacher
      @jordanebacher Před rokem +1

      Did you end up buying them morning Glory? because I'm thinking of getting that type of pedal but I don't want to spend the money on the morning Glory so I think I'd rather get the magpie to use for those low gain sounds

    • @alexfischer8471
      @alexfischer8471 Před rokem

      @@jordanebacher I’ve owned both and ended up selling both, only to buy back the Magpie. Magpie is my favorite of the Blues Breaker circuits between the two, but they’re both great. Definitely a fantastic alternative to the MG

    • @markferguson3745
      @markferguson3745 Před 7 měsíci

      I'd say that the MG is more of the classic, cleaner BB kind of thing, while the MH is the more varied and raw take.I don't use either, anymore, but prefer the MH;more inspiring to work with.
