It would be awfully convenient if there was a format utility built into the mixer. Plus something to tell you how many hours/minutes remaining on the card based on the number of armed tracks?
Now we need a tutorial to use the SD card on the Studiolive Rack Mixers in standalone mode. This information seems to be classified as it is impossible to find an answer anywhere on the web...😁
Yes. I can't find this anywhere
No we need a format SD card function built into the mixer like literally every other device that writes data to SD cards in existence.
But can you overdub on the SD card
What about the 4 Stereo FX returns? Why aren't there an additional 8 channels to record the associated effects that were used during the live show? This certainly seems a little short-sighted. This would take the track count up to 42 channels so by adding these effects would this be over the data flow that the card is capable of recording?
Ray can you record on SD card AVB and USB all at once for fool proof safety of recordings even if on 2 separate computers?
I am not able to hear playback on the mixer. I have followed your video to the T. Is there another step. I have read on the forums that I need to press SD Card button for every channel that was recorded to hear it when sound check is pressed. PLEASE HELP. I was however able to open the wav files in my daw , So I have recorded files.
Where can I find a list of recommended SD Cards?
are you going to do more tutorial videos?
Does it have an auto save sistem? in case we have a accidental shutdown? I think i lost a recording because i power off the console and forgot save the session... my bad :(
On my first recording, after the recording, I stopped it and the Status said "saving" and never changed. For three hours it never changed. I see that you never mention a status of "saving". What could have happened?
i know the this board is out now, but when is it gonna be able to work with any DAW ? i have been searching forever for a board to interact with Cubase, i was told this board will do that, pretty much every button on the board will work a feature on Cubase
Hi, it seems that with this SD card only 18 tracks were available, why is this?
does the studiolive series have a metronome onboard? thanks
Ray can the jog wheel be adjusted in settings to move the time line more quickly. Also is it normal when the faders move, they sound like they hit when they stop moving, making a loud clicking noise? Thanks for these videos.
I just ordered the 16
Thanks Ray...
Hi. I have a series 3 studiolive and recently forgot to press save after a show and it looks like the whole recording was lost from the SD card. Is there any way to restore it???
We have this board at our church and pressing the Save & Close had caused the board to freeze twice, requiring us to shutdown and restart the board.
Zach W There is a new firmware update that should fix freezes. I have been beating on it for couple of day and haven't had to restart. It is a beta public beta release.
Zach W Zac I'm thinking about ordering this board for our church also I was wondering if you could help me I noticed that there is loud clicking noises on these motorized touch-sensitive faders is it loud enough to be noticed in your church service or is it really a non-issue thanks
Same problem even with new firmware
Could I get a Series III 16 and a 16 AI Rack and use the Series III to control the rack AI and record all 32 channels?
No, the Series III is not a controller for the Rack mixers. If you're looking to control your rack mixers, check out the StudioLive CS18AI!

In spanish please
This Desk is a Complete waste of time , NO Internal Automation on Mixing??????? What a terrible design flaw. The most basic need of every mix engineer is to record a mix and update it, successively. I'm stunned you haven't included it. Thank God I didn't buy one.
