don Miguel Ruiz (author of The Four Agreements) gave me similar insights about judgement (victim/judge) and how talk therapy/psychology is just labels and repeating old dramas. What we must do to heal is forgive, including self, release expectations and run toward what we do want, fearlessly. Now is all there is. Depression is talking about the past. Anxiety is worrying about tomorrow. Just BE in the now. I'm looking up Painting the Dream by David Paladin. When you know what you don't want, you know what you do want. The rejection of parents is almost required for individuation.

Thank you for reposting this video. It's eternal in its message and so worth hearing again. I read her book Anatomy of the Spirit many years ago. It was life-changing and help redirect my path.

I agree 100% but there is an important distinction to be made. The family knew love and they expressed love. I see so many people who don't actually know whet love is, as in the case of my own family.
But they often or never know it, bc they do show care for each other.
If they'd throw me in the water, I'd just drown.
It can be challenging when family members don't show care for one another. Remember to prioritize your well-being and seek support if needed.
Caroline myss has great wisdom. What stands out though, is that she doesn't seem to have integrated her own unconscious ego strategies, but perhaps that wasn't necessary to fulfill her contract.
Thank you so much for posting this. I was searching for guidance on how to be more in touch with my intuition, and somehow felt really resonant with this video even though it was an hour long and didn't start out talking about intuition at all. Turns out, she touched on so many things that I needed to hear in my life right now. Synchronicity at it again lol.

Hey, thanks for sharing! during the interview they talked about a Navajo guy who went through many difficulties until he came back to his homeland, and there he was forced to leave the past behind in a way... Do u know anything else about him, where can l find more information? I think I heard the name of a book...
Hi Vida, I was also interested in that specific story, she talks about David Paladin, the only information that I found about him is that his entire name is David Chethlahe Paladin and he has published a book called Painting the Dream: The Shamanic Life and Art of David Chethlahe Paladin. I am so uncomfortable with the way "narcissism" is used here. narcissism is never a helpful or good thing. Narcissism is hurting others for one's own gain/desires. I get what she is saying, but this is NOT the same as narcissism, and calling that is doing so much harm. Narcissism and compassion do not co-exist in the same person.
Without taking away from this incredible interview, I wholly and completely agree with you on this point you made.
@@orangetulip1261 I also really enjoyed the conversation that was had, but the idea the there is any level of "healthy narcissism" has become so prevalent and it is very harmful. Narcissism and confidence are not one in the same, and people are conflating the 2.

This is an old interview (still full of Caroline Myss' jewels' though) and back then, the word narcissism did not carry the same connotations it does now. Yes, from today's reference point and how much we discuss and know about narcissism , the hair on the back of my neck stood up as she was talking about 'healthy' narcissism. But I've learnt too much valuable information from Caroline over the years, for it to bother me too much...let it not detract from everything else she was saying.
