- Hey guys! I’ve got some insider tips for you when designing your next room! Have you ever wondered what’s worth splurging on and what’s ok to save on? I’ll share that tip as well as my favorite software to create a design board which will help you bring a room together in the most cohesive way. The bedroom I’m sharing with you today has a mellow color pallet with warm wood tones and an organic modern/neutral feel. I love it! I hope these tips help you out with your next design project!

So helpful! If you HAD to choose between this bed in Zuma white or the one you chose for your bedroom remodel, would you say they’re pretty even quality-wise? They both look great but I’m curious if you love the one in your bedroom way more since you chose that one!
The bed I used in my room I believe is a bit better in quality. Bernhardt is one of my top 5 favorite brands & I just really adore the bed! The other one is made by skyline furniture I think (though wayfair often labels their products differently). And their stuff is good for sure, but not quite Bernhardt quality i would say. So the wingback bed it’s great for the more affordable price point! But if you’re willing to splurge a bit, the Bernhardt one would be great!

I am working on designing approximately 10,000 sq feet of space this year.🙈 I want & need to do the design boards, I’m just so technically challenged it overwhelms me trying to figure out how to get started. Any suggestions on how a tech challenged person like me should go about doing this will be MUCH appreciated.

Hey Mollie!! I have a question and sure could use your professional advice. I’m sure others might find this helpful as well. I have an older Drexel Heritage, dark wood big headboard, footboard, and called it my Scarlett O’Hara bedroom suite. We paid a fortune for it 15 yrs ago, she’s in mint condition but it feels so outdated.
With all of my Gone with the wind trilogy out there, Scarlett no longer has Rhett and frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn yet I am ready to invest in a queen master suite bedroom furniture. Have I missed the boat with the upholstered headboard? I’ve heard some designers say, out with the tufted headboard and HELL NO don’t paint another room gray. Do the lamps match again on night stands?? Do the nightstand even match? I’ve never used the mirror that came with the dresser, I’ve always used another decorative mirror. Keep the tips coming and would value your opinion on what to buy for my new room.
PS. Went with an oatmeal color sectional from Highland House, I believe that’s who it’s from but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!
Haha, enjoyed your Gone with the wind saga! I will say i have tired of grey on the walls as prefer something with more warmth- like off whites or even pale greige. I have a white paint color video that shows some ideas.
Also I wouldn’t write off a tufted upholstered headboard if that’s what you’re drawn to. I personally prefer more of a slipcovered upholstered look, or wingback without tufting as it feels a little more modern & minimal which I like. I like to have the same nightstands and lamps for symmetry, but then style the nightstand decor accents so they’re different on each side.
I do love to mix an upholstered bed with wood tone nightstands. And less bulky furniture can definitely help update the space. I will keep sharing more tips as I design the bedrooms for the flip house! Thanks for watching! :)

I owned a women’s boutique for a great number of years and was known for being brutally honest if someone tried on something that looked horrible on them regardless if it meant losing a sale. I had an eye for fashion yet I stumble the ball completely when decorating my home.
So I will invest in a solid dresser, and be searching for a headboard to mix with my wood.
How tall is ceiling? Will the chandelier be exactly over the bed?
This is not for any specific project but is a design board I made for follower inspiration. The chandelier usually falls around the foot of the bed in the center of the room.
New kitchen..... 2022...
