These guys were so awesome when they came out in 1964. I was in high school when they came out with their beautiful music. I have all of their vinyl record albums in my collection, and I still play their greatest hits CD in my car. Too bad Bobby has passed on. RIP Bobby! Love you guys!!! ❀

This inspiring song was written by the incredible team of Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers for their Broadway musical "Carousel". Thanks for your reaction.

Always give gratitude beyond the blessed performers ...The Righteous Brothers to the creative people who write the lyrics and blend it with a perfect music score. Thinking I should watch the Carousel movie too. Thank you for the origins of this music. And, of course, the expression given through their harmonies really moves me joyously.

Just finished my epistle representing further gratitude for the lyrics set to music by Rogers and Hammerstrum in the broadway musical Carousel and hope to see that picture one day. The Righteous Brothers really chose some beautiful songs to sing and I am happy to say that I experienced hearing and singing this song in my music class at King Lear Senior Public School in Stratford, Ontario, Canada and I made sure I memorized these lyrics. Yes, even half a century later I can sing this beautiful positive song.

This is soul with a "Capital S" produced by Phil Spector in his wall of sound. The reason you can't bring this back is because the artist of today don't have this type of talent and have to use auto tune. This is why the Righteous Brothers and Phil Spector are ALL in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame--- pure talent.😎

Don't know if you've heard the story. Early in their career they were singing in a mostly black night club, and after a soulful tune, someone in the audience yelled "y'all some righteous brothers." They decided to adopt the name.

It was black Marines (especially one) from the El Toro Marine base in Southern California who started calling them righteous brothers. It was an ongoing thing for the months they played at the club, John's Black Derby, in Santa Ana. They heard some white guys were singing R & B so they went to check them out. They obviously liked what they heard. When the guys recorded Little Latin Lupe Lu, without the rest of the Paramours, they needed a name to put on the record. Bobby suggested they use the name the marines were calling them.

Great music! As much as I love their other songs, this one in particular I love the most. It really showcase their amazing harmonies in their voices. My only complaint is, that's too short. ❀

The fans of the Liverpool Football Club, of the English Premier League, have been singing this song at games prior to kickoff since 1963. They started after the version of this song was released by Gerry and the Pacemakers, a rock band from Liverpool, and became a hit in the UK.

Things I love about this. Bobby is one singer I could listen to forever and never tire, the accompaniment to all their songs is what makes the complete package, on this - the piano, oh boy!! And when they bow at the end, back in the day, when I were a lass, all entertainers did that, even the rock bands, it was the etiquette - like the audience actually listening, and not screaming like silly fools. I miss those days. Thanks for reviewing it, perhaps you could do some of Bob's solo stuff?

If I may make a suggestion, start with music from the 1920 - 1940 to get a feel for that music. Then spend a month with music from the 1950's. The next month, music from the 1960's. The next month, music from the 1970's. You will hear how music changed over the years. I feel that is the best way to reaction to the older music. Just make sure to ask your viewers to give suggestions for the decade you are reacting to.
