The dress is pretty but only have one sugestión. You should lined the Ruffle so it could cover the horse hair it will look more nicely done

don't like how the horse hair is showing, what if you wanted to add contrasting color how would i do that with the horse hair.

Abigail Heatley horsehair braid gives garments extra volume. The binding tape helps cover the raw edges of the fabric.
