- An out of character game night for game seven of the Stanley Cup finals in Edmonton. This was the June 24th game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers. My heart is broken for my grandma but we had fun just spending time in the city. Summer vlogging is my favourite.

@@fir5910 Yeah! It took your franchise that long to win a Cup. If they'd lost, the fans in that arena would have just gone back to watching NFL, NCAA College Football, NASCAR & WWE. That's why Florida NEEDED to win, otherwise all those 30+ years would have been all for nothing. They would have become just another Arizona Coyotes.

Edmonton fans showed grace in defeat. Had they won, I trust the police had backup ready to keep things orderly. They gotta put a cap on the numbers in the space in front of the main arena entrance. It could easily become a dangerous overcrowding situation.

Florida won it by the skin of their teeth and they know it. The Oilers wanted to win the Cup, but Florida NEEDED to win A Cup in a State where NFL, NCAA College Football, NASCAR & tennis reign supreme. 🇨🇦🏒🏆

Reality check: The Panthers controlled game 7 from start to finish, with the exception of one, very lucky Oilers breakaway goal.
But I guess you say crap like that just to make yourself feel relevant. But, it's time to stop living in the past...the Oilers haven't won a Stanley cup or even made it to the Finals since Connor McDavid was 9 years old, Sidney Crosby was a rookie, and the iPhone hadn't yet been released.
As for the State of Florida where the "NFL, NCAA College Football, NASCAR & tennis reign supreme".
I think you are forgetting the NBA, Major League Baseball, PGA, Major League Soccer, nearly 50 Minor league and semi-pro teams in a various sports. But the idea that Hockey isn't as important becuase we have other sports is not only naive, it's pathetically ignorant. Consider the Panthers who just went back to back in the Stanley cup finals and the Tampa Bay Lightning who won back to back Stanley Cup Championships in 2020 and 2021.
