      Well said! This kind of cooking is made with lots of pepper! Thats the authentic version. Why 'Westernise' it? If you don't like pepper, don't add it, but don't ask to leave it out of a recipe.

    Great video family im from louisiana n this dish is very similar to african american gumbo soup but then a lot of west africans especially from senegal to nigeria area were bought to louisiana

      Thank you for watching. You can add pepper most definitely when cooking yours. I generally do not add pepper if my kids are eating too. I always have pepper on the side though. So feel free to add pepper.

      I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with us. I live with a Nigerian and have had to learn how to cook his favourite Yuraba dishes over the years. As a white woman who grew up eating a very Western diet, it has taken many years and many lessons with my wonderful Sister-in-law to be able to cook certain dishes.
