What you need to do is watch a whole game .. highlights are great. But watching the full 80 minutes, you appreciate the ‘chess game’ being played. The defence and attack work from both team tonight were amazing .. UP THE MIGHTY PANTHERS.

When it was crunch time, Adam Reynolds disappeared and Nathan Cleary stood tall! Both halfbacks have experience’s in these types of games and when the broncos needed Reynolds he disappeared. On the flip side, when the panthers needed their halfback, he stood tall

I was there. The atmosphere was something different. And, honestly, from the moment Cleary kicked that 40/20, you couldn’t help but feel something was about to happen. That first try was scored, and you could *feel* that he was about to do something amazing.
He started with a 60 minute defensive disasterclass. Then proceeded to put on a GOAT 20 minute performance and literally win that game singlehandedly when down by 16 with 15 to go.
How’d you get into Rugby League bro? I’m American and live near Penrith. Been loving this team since 2008. Excellent sport and totally enjoying being the dynasty of the day.
Highlights don't relay just how dire the situation was. Down 24-8, Luai out for his shoulder & Yeo out for HIA. Cleary had to put it all on his back. The forwards looked aggressive and the backs looked focused.

Luai being out is why panthers won. Cogger was electric and allowed Cleary to inject himself. Broncos stopped scoring and panthers started ONLY AFTER luai went off

Broncos did not score one point on Luai's side of the field despite him having a bad shoulder. He's a three time premiership winner 🏆🏆🏆 He lead Samoa to a World Cup grand final.

2016 was better than 2015. 2015 was a dour game brought to life in the dying stages by some Morgan Magic. It was also a disservice to the game by ending a Grand Final in Golden Point instead of regular extra-time. Only 1989, 1997, & 2023 are in the conversation for greatest GF. The only significance of 2015 was that it won the great Jonathan Thurston & Cowboys their first ever Premiership.

one thing the highlight doesn't show is how good the defence of both teams were, but particularly the Broncos in the first half. Panther's had majority possession, spent a long time in the Broncos end zone, and kept getting shut down.
Broncos defensive effort was amazing first half
Panthers had a 97% completion rate to go with that possession. Incredible defence from Brisbane, and I say that as a Panthers fan. I think Broncos win it next season.
That incredible 1st half defence by the Broncos is probably what gassed them in the Final 15 mins.

Not sure if you seen it before but you need to the semi final match between The West Tigers vs Sydney Roosters from 2010. One of the greatest games I’ve witnessed in the 30 plus years I’ve followed the game.

As a diehard panthers fan it was the best night of my life being from the area going thru all the tough times since 2001 , I watched a game on my birthday in 2007 on 2 hour delay and we lost by 40 , I’ve been through thick and thin with this team and this has made it all worth it, enough to make a grown man cry 🥲🥲🥲

it was a night of emotions in our panthers house hold big celebration when we won
Let me tell you, as a Panthers fan since I was 4, this was a rollercoaster. However, I know some other Panthers fans who were at the game, and once the Broncos got to 24, they left thinking it was over and only found out from the radio in the car ride home.
A game for the ages for sure, one of the best Grand finals you will ever see, I just loved watching this site, and thanks so much for sharing your amazement of this great game, pure infectious joy.
First time watching your channel, great reaction. What a game. It was heart breaking as a Broncos fan but it was an amazing game. Penrith dominated possession in the first half but the Broncos held them and their only try was off a massive Broncos mistake. Broncos attack just swamped Penrith in the first 20 minutes of the second half. They should have held but they got a bit sloppy and basically just had to watch the juggernaut kick in to gear. The only thing that is comforting is the basic team is together next year with a growing sense of belief. Bring on '24.

You really needed to have watched the whole game to truly understand how intense and great a grand final this was. Kept us on the side of our seat the entire game! Atmosphere was epic and so was Nathan Cleary who gee'd his charger's over the line. When they didn't believe he made them believe! Game Had everything & couldn't ask for more in a Grand final.

Definitely, it was in the top 5 grand finals since 2000. If you review any State Of Origin game in the last 40 years then it will be good, because they are all classic games.
That first try, it’s hard to blame the guy who hits the ball back. His team needed to be there to collect that ball, but they just let it bounce into panthers hands

It's considered one of the best if not the best of the modern era.

It wasn't inexperience. A lot of the Broncos are seasoned players. Yes they have a lot of young blokes but so do the Panthers.
Nathan is only 25 years old. Kicks like he brought his own Steeden with him at birth. But it's Hard Work and continuous practice that makes the difference.
The main difference between the Panthers and most other clubs is that a lot of the team have literally played together since they were school boys. Having Critta leaving is devastating.
Losing Sunia Turuva and Spencer Leniu as well is too much.

I hope you didn't watch the highlights dude. The full 80 min game is something to savor as you really experience the game. I don't know if you can't be bothered but highlights don't really show what an amazing game this was. Penrith dominated the first half and broncos were lucky to be 2 behind at half time. Then, broncos just went crazy and basically put Penrith away. With 18 mins to go, score of 24-8 to Broncos, it was game over. And then, basically a miracle. You have done yourself a disservice watching only the highlights my friend. See you next year.
