You all laughed at Purify when it was released but never doubt Brode. He believed in the Heart of the Cards and now Purify Priest is a top tier deck... Almost

Hey Kripp I think that once a week you should make a video of all the arena's prize openings and all of the packs you open. It's nice to see pack openings every once in a while since we only see huge ones at the beginning of each expansion and then not much else. It could either be your second video for one of the days or it could be a third video since it's nice and quick, no real discussion to be had about it
His comment about ungoro packs near the end, I agree. Everytime I open one, it feels like I am getting less value compared to previous packs.
what i liked about ungoro is that we ve got back the dead control decks (priest/warrior) we ve got with loe and lost with wotog/standard:wild format

Having played HS for 6 month, I struggle to go past beyond rank 20, but now here I am sitting at rank 9 in just 3 days with limited number of cards.

My best runs in Un'Goru have all been with priest and my highest win average is with priest. I definitely play a value mindset when I draft, looking for ambers and volcanosaurs and if I get a nice legendary and a few control cards, look out!

I've litterally just finished the best arena deck i've ever had, and it was with preist, first 12-0 in like 6 months, and even though no one cares i'm gonna list it here because it was so so beautiful.

I was really lucky with it, only gave me 2 or 3 dead cards the whole run.
RedLukey it's almost perfect except malchezar was a terrible choice. But most legendaries are trash so fair enough.
It was up against cho and finja according to heartharena. Never lucky
I drafted two really good priest runs in a row, 9 and 10 wins i think, and both used Primalist. T8 Primalist into Mind Control is the ultimate tempo play and just destroyed several people. It's not that hard to make it so you only have one good target and it feelsgoodman to pull it off.

Drafted a really good deck with Priest yesterday (Heartharena think its score is about 70) where almost every card was useful. This deck included Y'Shaarj and Lyra (I had enough spells to make her work).
It was 2/3. I was crushed by dumb Mages sated with RNG.
Sometimes game just wants me to quit it.
That amber card won me so many games 8 mana ysera is pretty good

I recently got my first 12 win arena with a 71 point Hunter. I thought the deck sucked because it had 2 Tolvir Wardens and only 1 one drop. It did have Deathwing, though.
I did Arena I got 1 win. 2nd Round I vs a Mage with a Constructed Elemental Deck. Blew My Mind, I lost 3rd round I vs Rogue with a bunch of Assassinate cards. GG 1 Win

duuude in my arena run (paladin) i got 11 épics and 2 legendaries (barnes and malchezaar.. so 7 legendaries)

Wait Isn't Kripp not using the pity timer when he plays normally??
I thought it was like 50 packs had to have a legendary in, as long as you kept buying pack X till it happened, but if you opened 3 ungoro and 1 classic the pity timer resets with each new pack??
So shouldn't kripp wait till he has like 20+ in a certain type open till a legendary then stop till he has enough of another type to repeat or am i misunderstanding how the pity timer works??
I waited like a month to open ungoro free packs cause i had been opening classic and hadn't got a legendary in a while and when i did i swapped over and got a legendary from ungoro too but i buy mostly classic and i don't do arena just the daily quests.
dawfydd You're technically correct (except I think it's 40 packs instead of 50 for a legendary and like 8 or so for an epic). Kripp just doesn't care about the pity timer because he buys and opens up so many packs anyways, he doesn't really need to worry about the small difference the pity timer makes. :)
Thanks yeah i wasn't too sure about what the number was, it just seems that 400dust every X packs would be more important to his crafting goal, i know now he's going to press the button, but i think if he held packs to open till he had a certain number it'd encourage small donations every so often to get a couple more packs so he'll open 50 every couple of days, rather than 9 packs per day kind of thing.
Just seemed odd is all, and yeah being free to pray i have to try any way to get a leg up lol.
The pity timer is separate for each expansion. It does NOT carry over between the different types of packs. 40 packs guarantees a legendary.

I am the only one who struggles with rogue in arena? my best classes are warlock and mage with an average of 8.5 wins while i can only get to 4 with rogue.

immune means exempt, especially from an obligation or the effects of something. so that includes damage AND healing am I right?

why do un'goro packs suck so much? in every previous expansion i'd get a legendary like every 10 packs and tons of epics. now i get like one legendary in 30 or 40 packs and every pack has like 2 of the same common. it feels like they changed the algorithm. i haven't bought a classic pack since the expansion was released so i don't know if the classic packs are worse now too, and of course it could just be a statistical illusion. but i've opened over 300 un'goro packs, almost as many as classic, and i still don't have every un'goro legendary. i bought like 200 at once and only got a couple legendaries. there at least used to be a pity timer, though i always opened way more than 1 legendary in 40 packs. now it doesn't even seem like the pity timer exists, like i've definitely gone through over 40 packs without a single legendary, several times. the preorder set contained 2 legendaries so i didn't notice it at first but it seemed like after the preorder set, when i started actually buying packs with gold & money, the quality went WAY down. especially with gold, it seems like when i buy packs with my credit card they always give me like one legendary out of 30 packs, but when i buy packs with gold (i mean the in-game currency you get for completing quests and winning 3 games) i never get a legendary period. i saved up like well over 10,000 gold and bought like 50 packs at once (by double clicking the "buy one pack with gold" thing and inputting a number) and not a single legendary, most of the packs contained 4 commons, 1 rare, no golden cards. back in wotog i took screenshots of my craziest packs. i opened a pack with a golden y'shaarj, a regular nat the darkfisher, and a regular yogg-saron, ON TOP of the guaranteed rare. that was the best one i ever had but throughout my time playing i've opened lots of classic packs with two legendaries. this has not happened to me even once in un'goro. now it seems like the legendary takes the place of the guaranteed rare. has anyone opened an un'goro pack with two legendaries? what about a golden legendary AND a regular legendary? these packs were obviously outliers before un'goro but i'm not even sure they are possible now. i can upload screenshots if you want to see these packs i'm talking about, i have literally dozens of them on my laptop. another thing that never happens to me anymore is opening two different packs in a row with legendaries in them. i can't prove that these packs were back to back, since i just take screenshots and not video recordings - but around karazhan i opened 3 packs in a row, each with just one legendary (AND one rare) - a golden onyxia, then a ysera, then yet another golden ysera. i shit you not, i have opened 3 golden yseras, and i haven't even bought that many classic packs. most of the golden legendaries i have were opened from packs i bought with gold, curiously... i never noticed a difference between gold packs and USD$ packs until un'goro. as memory serves, i haven't opened a single legendary from an un'goro pack i bought with gold. i'm counting the class legendary minions as well as the quests as "legendary" by the way. there are more class legendaries in the un'goro set because of quests, but keep in mind i'm not saying it's taking me longer to open 100% of the un'goro legendaries, i'm saying it's taking longer to open a pack that simply contains a legendary. like i had every gadgetzan legendary within 2 weeks of release. there are almost twice as many class legendaries in the un'goro set but it's taken me way more than twice as long to get every un'goro legendary. i also haven't gotten a single golden un'goro legendary, which i can't say for ANY other set.
seems like kripp has had the same feeling, the reason i bring this up is because he said at the end "why do un'goro packs seem to suck?" and this is pretty much exactly the same thing i've been feeling since like a week after it released. anyone else noticing it?
