But yeah, this card is way scarier than it looks. Even if you can't get a face hit in, you can play it so that your opponent will definitely sacrifice minions or spells into it.

That other game was a mage v. rogue game though. Though arguably (and I personally believe) the rogue getting the coin is always better, in reality (specially in arena,) mages need some tempo plays early on to make it to the later stages of the game, where both players are at 10 mana and mage has an inherent advantage in terms of being a class that can both create value as well as tempo swings easily (and even easy access to range attacks.) I think in this case, Kripp would rather have gone second and have the coin to coin out a 2-drop on turn one to put the rogue player on an early disadvantage.
Or.... maybe he's just a whiny baby :P @Kripp. He is an excellent arena player though. So his complains are generally based on some sort of actual logical situation.
have you thought that maybe he was annoyed that he was facing yet another rogue, but he was happy that he was at least going first against the rogue? Since we don't see how he was before the game it could just be that he said it in a way that we might interpret as him being upset, when in reality, that is not the case.

Honestly, Vicious Fledgling is also pretty damned strong in constructed, too. Midrange Hunter is a solid deck, and this is an easy tech, being a 3 mana beast with a game winning upside. The dirtiest feeling in the world is having Fledgling and Scavenging Hyena on the board, and watching your opponent try to work out where to send their one piece of removal.

I actually like cards like this. the problem is when the card is strong on its own before adding the "win-more" effect. Some of the most interesting cards in the game are like this (questing adventurer, mana addict(?), hyena (actually not very interesting), hobgoblin (I think it counts?) and this card). Perhaps 4/2 would be a better stat
line or maybe drop the beast tag. The mechanic is awesome imo. One of my favorite cards of the xpack

I was playing arena at 7 wins and I lost 3 times in a row and all of them were due to disconnect to blizzard servers at one point I was in the middle of a que got booted from the game loaded up immediately and it said my run was over

My nastiest start with it so far:
Druid, first turn Fledgling (via Innervate), 2nd turn Mark of Y'Shaarj, Windfury to +3 atk, 3rd turn Liquid Membrane and +3 health, opponent concedes. Disgusting.

Kripp misplayed at 4:10, should firefly firefly runt. Runt adapts to an answer to the flegling. Even if the rogue removes the runt. Kripp can still turn 5 nesting roc for a 4/7 taunt.

You have to admit - Fledgling is a serious problem in arena. There's no other cards in Arena that gets played THAT early, but still steals the game from that point on if not dealt with on your very next turn. The card is weak in Constructed, but unbelievably OP in Arena.
Vicious Fledgeling has become one of my favorite cards for my Hunter Beast Mode Deck.

Vicious fledgling is obviously very powerful if it gets enough face hits, but if you're in that situation odds are you already have significant board control and tempo advantage

I had a blessing of wisdom on a wind fury vicious fledging, and the grime street on board... So it was attack draw card adapt attack draw card adapt drop a cheap taunt, end turn. All cards in hand get plus 1 plus 1. and repeat.
That card is stupid in Arena, my paladin draft blew, but i had 3 vicious fledging and cheap taunts :)
Fledgeling should also have a drawback, i.e. "Every time you adapt deal +1 dmg to your hero"
After 5 adapts
1+2+3+4+5 = 15dmg
It's funny.. Nesting Roc is pretty busted too, but nobody notices since it's grossly overshadowed by the fledgling.

Vicious Fledgling is my favorite arena car, people will meteor that it by itself.
It's pretty insane in tempo decks. So satisfying to use, but plenty of counter play in constructed. Healthy card imo.

i don't play much arena, but after seeing fledgling in a few hunter decks in constructed, i think kripp played the first game terribly, not going for his 2 early adapts. For instance, i think he should've played runt with the 2 fire flies on turn 3 with coin for poison or attack, or even just hatchling. Idk, i think he didn't gamble on adapt when he should've.

This card shit on me so hard yesterday. I killed the 2nd one he dropped but couldn´t answer the first. Then menagerie warden made a 3rd. I made it to turn 11stalling. W/o being able to kill the snowball. Died on turn 12 to the first one he had dropped after killing the third finally. Was 100% salty.
Lmfao second clip he was salty about going second before he even checked if he was actually going second...
Th3Darkn3s Deck tracker shows if he went second because it'll draw four cards instead of three.
Should have a built in adapt limit of 2 or as a 2/2 for 4 mana.

This little pink fucker is also good in constructed especially midrange Hunter. If you get windfury as the first adaptation then the game is 90% in your favor.
