That’s such an interesting comment. It’s so true and yet even though they embodied the best of our American Life, they didn’t necessarily manage to experience or attain it to the full themselves with the amount of tragedy they incurred. It’s almost selfless what they have given us.

As a 54yr old Elvis fan since age 8, I am absolutely devastated, shocked & heartbroken. I'm 22 days younger than Lisa Marie & I lost my Daddy in March 1977 & he also died of a heart attack in the bathroom at work. I definitely understand her pain of losing him. When I heard Elvis died, I bawled for my daddy, me, Elvis & esp for her bc I knew how bad she was hurting. Losing a son was incredibly hard on her & I can't imagine how difficult that was. My heart breaks for Pricilla, Riley, Harper, & Finley & I am praying for them all. The only bit of peace I get is the small happiness that after 45yrs shes finally w her Daddy & she's also w her son. The losses were so sad, but the fact that this woman has also been the sole heir to Elvis’ estate while he passed away when she was 9 had to be so emotionally draining and trying at times. I was also the same age as Lisa Marie. I feel like I grew up with her. When her daddy passed away my daddy passed away a year and half later. We both got married at the same time. Her oldest daughter is the same age as my daughter. Her son is the age as my son. I didn't have twins though. I had a heart attack this past March. I couldn't imagine losing one of my children. Then having to go straight into a courtroom to divorce my ex husband. He could have had enough respect to let her grieve for awhile. That was awful. He was trying to catch her do drugs so he could get thier twin daughter's and his hands on more money. She even came off the drugs. All the stress from all of that the the past couple of years had to of put a lot of stress on her heart and her health in general. I thought she just was sick with a cold or the flu at her daddy's birthday celebration. Obviously, there was something way more serious than that going on. She probably didn't even know that there was something wrong with her heart. It's so sad and heart breaking. I was so shocked and still am. SHE WAS A SOLDIER. Literally felt more pain on some days then some people experience their entire life. Yes, she was young. However she's been hurting since she was 9 years old. I feel a sense of relief for her because she is truly at peace now.
It was tragic about her son but many people lose their parents (sometimes both) at an early age. And millions of people in grinding poverty or in war-torn countries have lost their entire families. And you have no authority whatsoever to say "she's at peace now". The Bible is the only authority and proclaims authority. And the only ones at peace after death are thosed saved and at peace after putting their trust in Jesus during THIS life. Because peace in the heart no matter what the circumstances is a supernatural gift from God: part of the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23). I have experienced it myself and it's supernatural. When I was young and unsaved, I imagined I would be distraught when my mother eventually died but thank God I was saved and I had this amazing indescribable peace when it happened because that Holy Spirit peace transcends circumstances. It's sad L-M died (and sad for her kids especially) but the idolatry of celebrities, especially in the US, is absurd. Millions of people are living and have lived much more tragic lives than her. Fact.

Her death reminds me of her father, who she so looked like. But the death of her son must have been a crushing weight. My father met Elvis a few times, through his work in show business with film distribution. Yet he had lunch with Elvis a few times and said that he was the most gentlemanly, gracious person that he ever met in the Hollywood film world. I've always admired her in many ways. I liked her forthright manner, her classic, yet edgy fashion sense, and by many accounts she was a most devoted mother. I think her life was a bit of a curse. She was born to one of the most famous people in history and I think it took a toll on her at times. I can only imagine the amount of scrutiny she endured being Elvis' only child and then having to deal with the fallout from his death for decades. I bet it was hurtful to her when people would contact her claiming Elvis was still alive, or even claiming to be Elvis himself. I'm not going to go into her marriages much, but I think she was sincere and some might have used her for their own reasons. I hope she finds the peace that seemed to have eluded her in life, and my condolences to her family and friends.
Well said. I've read some reliable sources that said she left Scientology and then had to fear their wrath. Since she left, I think that shows she had issues with them. I will not go any further since I think we the public do not know all the details of famous people, even when we know many things about them. I am not a speculator, just knew this issue. Prayers for her family especially her mom and daughters. It's sad that in every photograph I've seen of her, with her son and her daughters they look like the most depressed family in the world. What's heartbreaking is to imply she had it worse than others. Everyone loses family and friends and alot go thru divorce and have money issues. Unfortunately this all she will be remembered for. I'm sure people tried to help her over the years but she made her own choices. And she knew her family history and still made those choices. You have to accept people as they are and love them for as long as possible and offer help when helping someone won't destroy yourself. You can't help people who don't want help. But you can pray.
True, we all lose loved ones and suffer in life. Lisa Maree went through this in front of the whole world. Grieving in the spotlight, which I'm sure was exceptionally tough. At least when we suffer loss, we are able to grieve privately.

Yes as being a huge Elvis collector and fan I followed her for years it was very sad to see people taking advantage of her and she was surrounded by many deaths in the family it did it’s toll on her at still a young age I just wished she found true happiness in her life and took a step back and took more care of herself

I saw a video recently that stated that Elvis, his Mom and now Lisa Marie inherited a gene that gave them a inclination to have strokes. Yes Elvis had drug issues, but his heart issues , his Mom and Lisa died of strokes...all at very young ages. . That Elvis has relatives that were first cousins and they married each other, and it is hypothesis that through these relatives Elvis , his Mom and now Lisa inherited this gene. So the stress of drugs, the unbearable loss of her son and the inherited heart problems combined in Lisa's death.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ronda... after my brother (my only sibling) passed in 2015, all three of us suffered physically as well... my dad developed heart failure, afib, and dementia, my mother a form of Parkinson's Disease called PSP, and I became their caregiver and last year developed virulent diabetes. His death will never leave us... just like his memory. It's engraved on our bodies and souls. My father passed last year...and as I sat with him in his last hours, I told him your son is waiting for you... go to him. Embrace him... don't worry about mom and me... be happy out there... and we will join you someday.

Her death was a shock … but sadly not a surprise after this weeks observations of her. I’d been fearing this ever since her son passed two years ago. She was such a fighter, she would square up against against any demon, but Benjamin’s death was unrecoverable for her. That was the one constant in her life, the thing she got right, the thing that fame and money and marriages hadn’t tainted: her bond with her children; the fact that they were all ok. After Benjamin died, she said she felt guilty and devastated every day. Add health issues on top of that. Add an emotionally draining week of visits to Graceland and awards shows… both of which Benjamin would have loved to have participated in. Tragic. But she’s out of pain now and reunited with two of her favorite fellas. God bless her.
@YaYa007: I bet her son's passing 2 years ago had a direct adverse affect on her own health. The stress hormone Cortisol swimming throughout the body takes a harsh toll. She probably aged 10 years in the last 2 years since his death. I'm 3 years older than Lisa Marie. Her death has me looking closer at my own mortality. I'm seeing so many people in my generation dying of disease instead of accidents now. Diseases that ravage the body from poor lifestyle choices of our youth. I'm still in a state of disbelief over her passing.
@@teresamartin4735 Yes, it’s terribly sad. Nowadays we just don’t know. There’s also a bunch of vaccines that now have specific warnings about heart conditions. I don’t remember those precautions in the previous ones. As for cortisol, there are supplements to help with that. Lisa Marie seemed to give up after Benjamin’s death. She has always had a good sense of humor and there seemed to always be a spark, a light, about her. It was gone ever since his suicide. I think she might have left sooner if it hadn’t been for her other children and the ‘Elvis’ movie. She was also still struggling through the ongoing lawsuits from Lockwood… that’s an awful lot of stress on top of grief. When I saw her at the Golden Globes, it almost looked to me like she had a stroke or something since the Graceland visit a few days earlier. I wondered ‘is she eating?’. She was thin but alert yet needed help climbing stairs and holding steady. She also repeated herself quite a bit. Something was definitely not right. Then the timing of it all. Elvis birthday was only a few days ago. It might have all just been too much for her. Toxicology/autopsy report will give more clues for if she was on any conflicting prescriptions like Heath Ledger, but I’d bet that it was a combination of hereditary heart issues, previous damage (from past drugs or weight changes), and broken heart syndrome/grief/stress. Apparently it was the second cardiac arrest of the day that killed her so her heart was definitely done.

..I can’t believe this. As the biggest Michael Jackson fan, I was literally quoting Lisa Marie last week from her 2010 Oprah interview. She talked about how she had this “intoxication” during the highs of their relationship and how she had never felt that high in her life than being with him. She also talked about how Michael fell into the trap of opioids and how she wished she could’ve saved him. Here we are now and it appears she has passed away the same way living only 4 years longer than Michael. My heart is broken. 😢

I’ve seen articles and videos about Jeff so they are reporting on his death. He lived a full life… his death was sad but not entirely shocking. Curiously, I don’t see many people commenting on his videos ‘but what about Lisa Marie?’
Jeff Beck was widely loved and respected by all who knew him. There were plenty of articles about him upon his death. He had a full life and a great career, which he managed to continue until almost the end. Lisa Marie Presley was cursed almost from the beginning of her life, at least from the time she was nine years old. It was a struggle for her during her entire life. At least have some perspective here.

My friend worked at Graceland- no matter what you think of the Presleys, they lifted up a lot of people through music and embodied the best of American life.
That’s such an interesting comment. It’s so true and yet even though they embodied the best of our American Life, they didn’t necessarily manage to experience or attain it to the full themselves with the amount of tragedy they incurred. It’s almost selfless what they have given us.

As a 54yr old Elvis fan since age 8, I am absolutely devastated, shocked & heartbroken. I'm 22 days younger than Lisa Marie & I lost my Daddy in March 1977 & he also died of a heart attack in the bathroom at work. I definitely understand her pain of losing him. When I heard Elvis died, I bawled for my daddy, me, Elvis & esp for her bc I knew how bad she was hurting. Losing a son was incredibly hard on her & I can't imagine how difficult that was. My heart breaks for Pricilla, Riley, Harper, & Finley & I am praying for them all. The only bit of peace I get is the small happiness that after 45yrs shes finally w her Daddy & she's also w her son. It was a devastating loss to us on Earth, but you can bet there was an incredible reunion in heaven. RIP LISA MARIE 🙏💔😥😭🌹

I was also the same age as Lisa Marie. I feel like I grew up with her. When her daddy passed away my daddy passed away a year and half later. We both got married at the same time. Her oldest daughter is the same age as my daughter. Her son is the age as my son. I didn't have twins though. I had a heart attack this past March. I couldn't imagine losing one of my children. Then having to go straight into a courtroom to divorce my ex husband. He could have had enough respect to let her grieve for awhile. That was awful. He was trying to catch her do drugs so he could get thier twin daughter's and his hands on more money. She even came off the drugs. All the stress from all of that the the past couple of years had to of put a lot of stress on her heart and her health in general. I thought she just was sick with a cold or the flu at her daddy's birthday celebration. Obviously, there was something way more serious than that going on. She probably didn't even know that there was something wrong with her heart. It's so sad and heart breaking. I was so shocked and still am. Because peace in the heart no matter what the circumstances is a supernatural gift from God: part of the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23).
I have experienced it myself and it's supernatural. When I was young and unsaved, I imagined I would be distraught when my mother eventually died but thank God I was saved and I had this amazing indescribable peace when it happened because that Holy Spirit peace transcends circumstances.
It's sad L-M died (and sad for her kids especially) but the idolatry of celebrities, especially in the US, is absurd. Millions of people are living and have lived much more tragic lives than her. Fact.

Her death reminds me of her father, who she so looked like. But the death of her son must have been a crushing weight. My father met Elvis a few times, through his work in show business with film distribution. Yet he had lunch with Elvis a few times and said that he was the most gentlemanly, gracious person that he ever met in the Hollywood film world. The dichotomy of grace in a cutthroat world of fame and hustle must have a fast clock for surviving.

I've always admired her in many ways. I liked her forthright manner, her classic, yet edgy fashion sense, and by many accounts she was a most devoted mother. I think her life was a bit of a curse. She was born to one of the most famous people in history and I think it took a toll on her at times. I can only imagine the amount of scrutiny she endured being Elvis' only child and then having to deal with the fallout from his death for decades. I bet it was hurtful to her when people would contact her claiming Elvis was still alive, or even claiming to be Elvis himself. I'm not going to go into her marriages much, but I think she was sincere and some might have used her for their own reasons. I hope she finds the peace that seemed to have eluded her in life, and my condolences to her family and friends.

Prayers for her family especially her mom and daughters. It's sad that in every photograph I've seen of her, with her son and her daughters they look like the most depressed family in the world. What's heartbreaking is to imply she had it worse than others. Everyone loses family and friends and alot go thru divorce and have money issues. Unfortunately this all she will be remembered for. I'm sure people tried to help her over the years but she made her own choices. And she knew her family history and still made those choices. You have to accept people as they are and love them for as long as possible and offer help when helping someone won't destroy yourself. You can't help people who don't want help. But you can pray.
True, we all lose loved ones and suffer in life. Lisa Maree went through this in front of the whole world. Grieving in the spotlight, which I'm sure was exceptionally tough. At least when we suffer loss, we are able to grieve privately.

You fight for just a new normal that doesn't seem doable every day. But I really wanted her to live. I am so sorry that she is gone. Her honesty drew me to her.

I saw a video recently that stated that Elvis, his Mom and now Lisa Marie inherited a gene that gave them a inclination to have strokes. Yes Elvis had drug issues, but his heart issues , his Mom and Lisa died of strokes...all at very young ages. . That Elvis has relatives that were first cousins and they married each other, and it is hypothesis that through these relatives Elvis , his Mom and now Lisa inherited this gene. So the stress of drugs, the unbearable loss of her son and the inherited heart problems combined in Lisa's death.
I feel so sorry for her remaining children. Having to see your Mom die at such a young age is just horrible. God rest her Soul and God Bless her kids.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ronda... after my brother (my only sibling) passed in 2015, all three of us suffered physically as well... my dad developed heart failure, afib, and dementia, my mother a form of Parkinson's Disease called PSP, and I became their caregiver and last year developed virulent diabetes. His death will never leave us... just like his memory. It's engraved on our bodies and souls. My father passed last year...and as I sat with him in his last hours, I told him your son is waiting for you... go to him. Embrace him... don't worry about mom and me... be happy out there... and we will join you someday.

Her death was a shock … but sadly not a surprise after this weeks observations of her. I’d been fearing this ever since her son passed two years ago. She was such a fighter, she would square up against against any demon, but Benjamin’s death was unrecoverable for her. That was the one constant in her life, the thing she got right, the thing that fame and money and marriages hadn’t tainted: her bond with her children; the fact that they were all ok. After Benjamin died, she said she felt guilty and devastated every day. Add health issues on top of that. Add an emotionally draining week of visits to Graceland and awards shows… both of which Benjamin would have loved to have participated in. Tragic. But she’s out of pain now and reunited with two of her favorite fellas. God bless her.

I'm 3 years older than Lisa Marie. Her death has me looking closer at my own mortality. I'm seeing so many people in my generation dying of disease instead of accidents now. Diseases that ravage the body from poor lifestyle choices of our youth. I'm still in a state of disbelief over her passing.
@@teresamartin4735 Yes, it’s terribly sad. Nowadays we just don’t know. There’s also a bunch of vaccines that now have specific warnings about heart conditions. I don’t remember those precautions in the previous ones. As for cortisol, there are supplements to help with that.
Lisa Marie seemed to give up after Benjamin’s death. She has always had a good sense of humor and there seemed to always be a spark, a light, about her. It was gone ever since his suicide. I think she might have left sooner if it hadn’t been for her other children and the ‘Elvis’ movie. She was also still struggling through the ongoing lawsuits from Lockwood… that’s an awful lot of stress on top of grief. When I saw her at the Golden Globes, it almost looked to me like she had a stroke or something since the Graceland visit a few days earlier. I wondered ‘is she eating?’. She was thin but alert yet needed help climbing stairs and holding steady. She also repeated herself quite a bit. Something was definitely not right.
Then the timing of it all. Elvis birthday was only a few days ago. It might have all just been too much for her.
Toxicology/autopsy report will give more clues for if she was on any conflicting prescriptions like Heath Ledger, but I’d bet that it was a combination of hereditary heart issues, previous damage (from past drugs or weight changes), and broken heart syndrome/grief/stress. Apparently it was the second cardiac arrest of the day that killed her so her heart was definitely done.

..I can’t believe this. As the biggest Michael Jackson fan, I was literally quoting Lisa Marie last week from her 2010 Oprah interview. She talked about how she had this “intoxication” during the highs of their relationship and how she had never felt that high in her life than being with him. She also talked about how Michael fell into the trap of opioids and how she wished she could’ve saved him. Here we are now and it appears she has passed away the same way living only 4 years longer than Michael. My heart is broken. 😢
I was thinking about it as well... despite her earlier interviews, that 2010 interview undid some of the earlier interviews had done... at least, I hope so.

Truly heartbroken 💔 her and I were are exactly 5 days apart and we both have the same middle name. I’ve always been fascinated as she was so young when she lost her father. A lot of the younger generation weren’t around in the time when the news announced Elvis Presley was having his first child. But a lot of us were here when we heard the news Michael Jackson passed away.

Interesting that Lisa Marie is all over the news but nothing about Jeff Beck who also died at age 78. He was one of the great guitarists of all time and a pioneer in rock music.
I’ve seen articles and videos about Jeff so they are reporting on his death. He lived a full life… his death was sad but not entirely shocking.
Curiously, I don’t see many people commenting on his videos ‘but what about Lisa Marie?’
Jeff Beck was widely loved and respected by all who knew him. There were plenty of articles about him upon his death. He had a full life and a great career, which he managed to continue until almost the end. Lisa Marie Presley was cursed almost from the beginning of her life, at least from the time she was nine years old. It was a struggle for her during her entire life. At least have some perspective here.
Actually, there is press about Jeff Beck’s passing, but this particular video is devoted to Lisa Marie, which is why we’re focused on that here. Jeff Beck was a well known great, no doubt about that.
