I’ve had one for a couple of years after watching a project farm review. It’s always worked first try on any car I’ve needed to start and doubles as a power bank for anything with a USB 👍
You can’t imagine the amount of stress this car caused me, as it was on the drive for almost 12 months! It had to be parked in front of my garage, so loading and unloading tools was a real PITA. Every time I went to start it to move the boldly thing, it had a flat battery. It’s now safely tucked away in a garage 👍

In my attempt to be a bit British, I must say this looks like a very handy piece of kit! What I don't like is that nearly ever car these days (I speak for the U.S.) has batteries that are strapped down with terminals that require Houdini hands to reach and access--not to mention the cluster blob fixture that is permanently attached to each terminal...it makes attaching the clips a job in itself.

I too was given one as a Christmas present about three years ago and I have used it dozens of time as my car sits for sometimes a whole week before use. The reason they were stopped from further sales on Amazon is a very interesting story.

I just used my Audew on my wife's car. I've had the Jump Starter for 2 years and this was my first opportunity to use it and it worked great. I was left stranded by a failed battery a few weeks ago but, of course, I didn't have my Jump Starter with me! Great video and the unit is so easy to use..

I have a similar one of those I keep in my car. It's the best thing to have. I have gotten myself out of a breakdown once or twice and I have even jump started a freinds car. Much better than keeping a set of Leeds.

I bought the Audew jump starter to replace my failed launch unit. And it's 10/10 would recommend it to anyone, one tip I'd share is don't store it or any other lion cell unit in your car over night during the winter periods as it does wear the max amp delivery down quicker than you'd think.

I did have a look. Only comes with a USA plug and not a UK plug.
Been looking at the DBPOWER jump starter. I think I will go for this one instead.

How do you make it flash
I have a cheapy Chinese one that needs charging once a week to keep it topped up enough to jump start it's not great but it got me out of a few pinches. Been looking to replace it with a good recommended one so very much appreciated. Could I ask how often you charge it up though ?
This does not need charging that much. I charged it in October and it’s been in a tool box in the back of the van (so it is well insulated from the cold). I have had to jump start the girlfriend’s car with it twice recently (she keeps leaving the interior light on DOH). It’s currently at 75% charge 👍

Yeah you don't want to risk using the cheap Chinese ones. They aren't known for their safety and I certainly wouldn't leave it charging unattended.
Bought one for my xmas present, (not this one) but have not used it yet, better to have than wait hours for RAC to turn up. Peace of mind.

A mate of mine had a puncture, his vehicle was only a Fiesta van. They refused to come out to him, just because the vehicle had signwriting on it. I ended up driving to him, removing the wheel and getting it repaired at the local garage!
RAC are awful. I get free rac comprehensive cover with my Vauxhall dealer service but have been let down on three occasions. The last time took 23 hours to turn up
Just ordered one via your link, but ordering via the link was a nightmare, nearly £20 off though, so hopefully, it's gonna be worth the effort. They are still available on Amazon, but well over £90.
Quick update; didn't receive any contact/information from Audew after ordering and payment, using the link you provided. Got a bit worried and sent a couple of emails via the 'contact us' button on the site, but still nothing. Having said that the unit turned up this morning 4x Woking days after purchase🙂. Just charging up now, but a bit concerned about, returns, customer service etc. But hopefully it will charge up and be okay.

I am in the UK but purchased one of these after Project Farm reviewed them on CZcams so they must be available in the US.
You can use any phone charger you have. It just have to be USB-C and if you prefer a Quick Charge (as the one included) to speed up the process. I use the regular phone charger with it and it takes whole night to top up (fully charged was capable of 8-10 successful cranks) twice a year maybe. Bought it 5 years ago, still going strong, saved many friends.
The one we have, you need to press the BOOST Button on the side of the connector before it will work

Yeah, I always thought it was 3.5L petrol engine! Unless they have updated the product since I bought it. It was amazing how it jump started the Mercedes 4 or 5 times from a single charge and was still at about 50% 👍

I bought them from a seller on eBay a few years back, but I’ve just checked and they only seem to be available in the states! I first used these when I did my apprenticeship at Training 2000, they are brilliant clamps 👍

No worries, I'm sure the plug is just a USB plug, so most phone charger plugs/USB chargers will work with it.
Crikey! Another piece of kit to take up space in the vehicle. Good job it's compact. Wont be long before we all have to start lugging around defibrillators.

@@ultimatehandyman Hi. Thank you for getting back. They mention peak amps but I don't see anything about CCA/starting amps. The battery on my slk 1.8 is absolutely dead and I wasn't sure if something like this bit of kit will turn it over.
It should do, easily. It started the Merc in the video loads of times and the actual car battery was knackered. If you live anywhere near me (Darwen, Lancs), I’d be happy to come and try it 👍

Yes, sure. This will work on any 12V vehicle. Not sure what terminology they use in the States, but in the UK, DC voltage is indicated by a positive and negative 👍
Most cars in the UK are negative earth (ground). I assume it's the same in the USA
Mine did great for 3 years. Now it will not hold a charge. Every time I grab it it needs to be charged back up to use it.

Due to brand update, the brand name Audew has been replaced with Andeman👍🏼
Amazon appear to have similar-looking devices at higher prices than Audew direcect! That said, it looks as though it's all on/from one of the Chinese selling sites.
Yeah, there seems to be a few different makes, but I’m not sure if they are as good, or better 🤔
