I still use mine, the synth section is actually really good if you fiddle about enough and the drums are nice and crunchy, synth toms are superb, this demo always reminds me of arcade video games from the 89s
Thanks for posting . It rolled back the years .My all time favourite keyboard demo tune. It has a great beat and a real "outrun" flavour to it. And sounds even better through speakers.
My 2nd keyboard that got me into producing music along with a fostex X-18 4 track machine. Made some killer originals after smoking a "J" in the early am hours .Kept me out of a lot of trouble at the time. Thx for posting this!👊
Sorry I don't do online business but the PSS-680's drums are the same samples used in the likes of the Yamaha RX-11 drum machine. If you want Yamaha RX drums to sound like the PSS-680 you could put them through an 8 bit bit crusher. DSK Mini Drumz is a freeware VST drum machine rompler that includes samples from a Yamaha RX series drum machine. Or you might be able to find Yamaha RX drum samples online.
@@ImmersionaudioLTD DR-84 is a free 80s drum rompler VST which includes 16 samples from the Yamaha RX-11 which to be honest sound similar to the drums used in all Yamaha Porta Sound keyboards and are probably the same samples.
I somehow remember this tune note for note from pissing around with this keyboard in the shop back in the day. The music would not sound at all out of place in an 80s arcade game, many of which used very similar sound hardware. :)
I played it on piano now after 25 years, ( I remember it almost identical as original!!)and then I got an idea to search for it on you tube! And voila!
Just got one without adaptor and one loose key. For 30Euro. Lol. Adaptors I have plenty and the key is already fixed 😂 Great nostalgic mini synth, I always wanted to have one but never got it. Now I do.
@@jamdonut7692 If you want a VST with selected Yamaha samples you should check out DR-84, it has 16 drum samples from the Yamaha RX-11 which sounds similar to some of these drums.
This was my first ever real synth, hearing this brings so much nostalgia!
x2
They can play this tune at my funeral while launching my coffin onto a roller-coaster track :)
This and the 780 take me back... still got my dad's 780 in my loft

One of the best demos ever. I had it.

@@jamdonut7692 Hey, you still looking for the drum samples? I’ve got mine and it would be easy to just put them through Ableton. :)
I'd love some recordings of the drum sounds!

Yep. This song holds up still more than ever thanks to the love of retro music.
Loved this keyboard so much!

Cherished childhood memories.

A true classic.... never goes out of style
Thanks for this. I learned to play using this keys. I won't forget this demo song.
Oh my goodness. I really troubled my dad into getting this for my 13th birthday in 1989. Me and my cousin even wrote a "song" to the demo 🤣
Brilliant. I've always loved this tune.
Still have and use it 👍🏻
John Shuttleworth’s intro oooof.
I knew I recognised it from somewhere!!
Yes John Shuttleworth used this keyboard back in the early 90s
which was part of the reason I bought a Yamaha PSS-680.
@@LittleRichard1988 He still does use it now! I have the same model also.
Omg I haven't heard this song in nearly 20 years
HELL YEAH!
Oh wow I still have mine 😊
Gracias!!!! Viajé en el tiempo

Nice!
man back in the late 80s i always wanted one of these and this demo brings back so many memories
Why don't you buy one, you can get them for next to nothing on EBay. There's no
real reason not to.
@@LittleRichard1988 i just need the drum samples, besides i literally dont have room in my studio for more synths haha!
