- Food shopping in the Philippines province is my one of my favorite things to do. Prices here in the province are very cheap and healthy! Our Philippines home needs food so lets go shopping! Healthy fresh food is easy to find in the Philippines and shopping is tough because there's unlimited options. Food shopping here in the Philippines is always interesting!

You're right, the thing you do buying in the market helps the locals to produce more fresh products or produce and l think it's more way cheaper than supermarkets in the malls. It's all about adapting to the way how the locals do and blend in while living in the Philippines. Way more cheaper, practical and you're helping the local economy. Good job!
I’d love to live the provincial life one day when I return to Phils. I completely support what you’re doing for Phillippines!
Thank you! I'm Blessed to be here.
Hey buddy I love ❤️ this video. You live in the province and you are contributing back to the community. You went to the Philippines 🇵🇭 to spend time with the locals and learn the culture. 😍🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🇨🇦. Great video
Yes I am!
The chickens make your vids much more authentic. I enjoy hearing all the natural sounds it's almost like I'm there. 👍
Thank you and I feel the same way
I like your attitude in helping the local community instead of buying it from the big supermarket. I love province life too.
You’re doing a very noble job supporting my fellow Filipinos Sir !
I admire you for that !
Your vlog is an eye opening to those who are not mindful of the bad effects of processed or food with loads of preservatives ….I used to be one of them . I hope many people will get inspired and encouraged to live healthy, spend wiser after watching your blogs .
More blessings to you and your wife… enjoy life in the Philippines 🇵🇭!
I honestly had not put any thought into that until 7-10 days into one of my vacations here. Realized how amazing I felt not eating trash and sticking with REAL foods. Eye opening....
@@ItsMe_Philippines …. It must feel good !
Keep up the good work you started Sir !
I am a Filipino who currently lives in Maryland and I am jealous of you and your wife …. That you are able to enjoy life the way you do .
Be safe …. Looking forward to your next blog
I love the Philippine markets. Probably my favorite place to go there. So fresh. Real organic food
Exactly and prices are great 👍🏻
Two words! Very Smart!
By the way, that market is for everyone who are awake, but not for those who are still sleeping.
Godspeed!
Here in our province, about 5am to 8am saturday morning they have this so called “tabuan” where farmers sell their goods from vegetables, meat, root crops, etc. very cheap and fresh, i am happy goin early in the morning specially in province where climate is cold, buy some puto otsinta (rice cake) with coffee. My weekly routine to full pack my ref. Just ask the vendor some of them knows when is the “tabuan”. But anyways, good life in the province, fresh air. 😎🤙
Great video sir i like the way you think ,helping out the people, god bless you and your family
Thank you
When I come home to Philippines, I always buy veggies at our local Market, it’s so cheap and fresh and yes support local business of course.
Fresh, supports the locals and it's cheap!
Love this video can't get enough of the roosters crowing just like home
Every morning they let me know where I am!
Thank you again! I'm an American living in France, thinking about moving to somewhere in Asia. Looks like you've got a good setup in the provinces. Good job!
Thank you
Excellent informational video. Thank you.
Thank you for another positive comment
I enjoyed watching another great video of yours!!!...🤗
Thank you 😊 appreciate your comment
This looks like a dream to me. Wonderful people, beautiful landscape and a great mindset in helping the local community. Thanks for giving us a first hand experience of shopping in the province, it's great to see how you have access to cheap, fresh foods.
One question I did have was around ground spices and dried foods (like beans and lentils). These are a quite a big part of my diet and wondered if these were available in PH?
Yes, my wife buys those so let me ask her for some type of list
Yes support the locals
Big box stores are already making millions
Sad, but true. All I can do is help 😊
Good job my friend thanks for supporting local market
Always!
@@ItsMe_Philippines your place is somewhere in Manjuyod town or Pamplona near Bais City

Great video. The local markets always look great!
Very true and thank you
whenever i go back to phil for a vacation (pili camarines sur) this is the kind of place
(saud) where i always shop. fresh produce and price are cheap especially those seasoned fruits and vegies.
We do this weekly and love it! I’m not sure where your talking about though so I’ll have to look for it.
Good vlog Cory, hadn't noticed you post for a while. That milkfish is bangus, I absolutely love that fish and it's full of omega 3, best fried and ask your Wife about bangus ralieno, the filets are are just opened up and has diced tomatoes in it that make it very tasty. I'm in the LA area now doing some shopping while waiting for my flight Monday. Not looking forward to that brutal flight but being there for a month will make it worthwhile. I don't think you live near where I'll be and where we bought property but if you were, you'd be more than welcome to come by and grab some pineapples, guyabano, sweet potatoes and mango. My Wife's Mom has planted so much of those
They've got a nice selection of seafood and fresh produce.
7:43 Look at this, are those huge piles of avocados? Fresh pineapples 3 pieces for P100 pesos ($2).
I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I live in a city so the prices are slightly higher.
I paid 30 php per pineapple if I get ten at a time. So that is a great deal for 10 at $5.37!
Nice
its good that u buy from the market were everything is fresh and cheaper than the supermarket my wife and i akso buy as much as we can from the market
Happy family God bless
Thank you and the same to you
Philippines is a real farmer's market. Just about every piece of land has fetile soil that's great for growing organic fruits and vegetables. It's that tropical climate that's great for growing just about anything from bananas to mangoes and all exotic fruits. That's a lot of savings if you can just plant some of these fruits and veggies in your backyard.
Doing that as we speak!
The theme of this video is a solid message to put out there!
Thank you!
Love your life
As do I!
Watching here in Washington that’s what I miss back home going to wet market everything you say is true I injoy this video take care
Thank you
Organic at its finest, and the best bang for your buck! 💵 Best of both worlds. Perfect! Another great video Corey!
Thank you! I thought I blocked you from the channel? Lol
@@ItsMe_Philippines You actually scared me for a minute & had to do a double take of your comment! 😂 You actually got me on that one Corey! I’m binging on some of your videos right now. Actually 12 hours behind you! 😂

Good analysis.
Agree hyber markets are charging 3x for the same fruit, veg , and fish.
Amazon bought Whole Foods and Sprouts Market.
Many left Western countries and retired in East Asia.
Much less stress.
Agreed and thank you for watching. I wasn’t aware that Amazon bought Whole Foods.
I love the way you live 👍👍👍
I live a life I don’t need to vacation from
All looks great, my wife and i can’t wait to return next year.
Nice! What island/area are you going to?
@@ItsMe_Philippines Hi there, my wife and I are building our home on Mindanao not too far from Cagayan De Oro in the province as well. We also have a small house on Cebu. Can’t wait!!!! I love the Philippines
Food: it's right up my alley as they say. It reminds me of being in the hollers of W.V. we grow ALL our veggies and that kind of eating is far more healthier(as you said) and I agree than ALL the processed bullshit that big chains sell! Think about it ,how many cases of cancer do you hear about in the Philippines? Here in the USA cancer is becoming all too common. Why? As we both know it's ALL the processing of the food's! I can't wait to move there! I hope within the next year or so.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cancer here is not more rampant than in the U.S., but bug cities are chasing the U.S. Western styles..
Because the foundation and the blue print of the government here
are like in the U.S. cancer is part of their monkey business.
The government doesn't care if it is right or wrong, good or bad, as long as they can keep filling their bottomless pockets with what they call a Ching2!
I grocery shop the same way. 80% produce, then fish, meat, and dairy. I also eat oatmeal for breakfast. Like minds.
Smart man!
one more thing its all organic, here if it says organic its at least 50%more.great vlog again bud, thank you.
True and very good point!
We’re on the same page BRO supporting local and the heck with all the crap put in the food we eat
Your living a great life over there now man GOOD FOR YOU 👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
I hope to follow in your foot steps soon
Great video knowing how safe it is and such good food
How’s the drinking water over there ?
Thanks bro. Let me know when you get to town and we can meet up!
Our drinking water is actually ok but we buy bulk large bottles for our dispenser to be safe.
Great video! As a pescatarian I only eat fish and vegetables. On your list onion has an “O” just trying to help. New sub and first comment. God bless!
lol did not notice that
@@ItsMe_Philippines excellent info. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great video. My wife and i were just talking about this when we were out walking yesterday morning. This helps me in my planning for when we make the move. It did get me thinking about how / what mechanisim to use to convert your usd to Peso. Can you do a video on how one can do this on a regular basis while living out in the provence . It would be very helpful to see what techniques work from those already living there.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video filming authentic Filipino provincial market & genuine daily rural life . Nice strolling the fresh food stalls. What is the name of the town where this food market is ? Keep up the good work for these videos & are very informative . God bless
Thank you and that was Bindoy
Your grocery list looks very affordable.
And heathy!

Regardless of price, whatever u need it's in d Phil's, it means it's a good economy. For supporting local businesses, I think it's better to subscribed to ur vlog. After d war between ukraine & Russia, prices of fuel & market items will go down.
Thank you and thanks for watching. More to come
Agreed local is always better no matter where you are. You just have better prices there by a long shot😂😂😂
ALL THE BEST…
True!
youre the most unique foreigner out there bro
I don’t pretend…. Just being myself 🤷♂️
I love these videos! love the life you're living there, that's how I'd like to live when I become financially sustainable without having a job.
what's the online shopping situation there like, practically non existent? or would you be able to pickup parcels at the local post office?
I would love to see some night time footages please! driving in the province at night, what it's like without light and noise pollution.
over here online shops delivers your purchase, for a fee. usually P38-P40 depending on the item.
if you order 3 or more of the same item its free delivery. or if the item is more than $20 the delivery is free and fast if the item is hand carry.
@@navigatorofnone how about if I order something from Amazon US, would they be able to get my stuff to my door?
There is a market near duma that has fresh milk (not “fresh milk” brand NZ UHT long life)
Paul’s vlog, I will try to find the video after I finish this one
I like the way you tell it like it is! Straight forward and blunt!
I've watched all the videos on the building of your house, but I can't find the one where you give the total cost of the build. If I've missed it, send me the link please and thank you. That house is beautiful! I watched another video like yours and I seen a house that was built(2 story,2 bdrm) for $8,000.00 USD, and yours is FAR more superior!
Thank you! I did a how much it cost to build here video but had not oved into the home yet so will need to update that soon.
@@ItsMe_Philippines oh,ok! I watched the last of your home build videos ( they were installing the bathroom and plumbing the kitchen, the cabinets were already installed) it's BEAUTIFUL!
not sure if yall bought the lot 1.2 acres from the other video, but if they have goats there, you can get milk from a goat. maybe buy a dairy cow and get fresh milk. Also run chickens for meat and find an egg layer or two. etc. Would almost be easy life i would think.
How much max land you can buy about how much you can buy. I almost wonder if starlink would work out there. Since you could go solar, so the only other resource i would worry about is drinking water and maybe beer.
I will say this, if i could clear all debt, sell all things off and come out with 500k i would probably plan on retiring somewhere abroad that is safe, cheap cost of living and where i can have my animals and gardens etc. upgrading to a new hotter dishwasher i mean wife would be amazing to. Best of luck.
I miss the Philippines
I hear you there! I missed it here every time I left and wanted to come straight back.
I'm in Santa Rosa laguna, would like to down where you are, maybe one day.
Good Day Sir, if ur looking for a coffee bean, theres a local produce made by negrosanuns in valencia & Bacong, also there is a coffee beans store in some of Negros Town markets grinded already or in black bean form.1 of which is in Dumaguete Market inside theres at Coffee bean Store selling coffee beans..you can smell it when u r near it

Hi
Hello
the cat be like: tf dude!?
lol
Hahahahahaha. Kitty said: It's my life dude, it's my rule, tf, lol.
Cory for the most part Cows milk is a scarce commodity in the Philippines because raising Cows is an expensive endeavor. Why not switch to some of the Beverages that are available there such as in Almond Milk, or some of the other Grain Beverage products it's a healthier choice. Although taste wise Almond Beverage and all the other Grain derived Beverages will never taste as good as Cow's Milk, and your brain will remind you that it's definitely not drinking Cows Milk and you are compromising. It, takes getting used to as your mind will ask you why aren't drinking real Milk as we know it, before they came out with all the alternatives. Health benefits can't be denied, long term outlook is always in our best interest to live a life well lived without too much Medication to fix, control and maintain what we can do naturally without the added side effects. I switched some 15 years and I do miss the taste, flavor and the attraction to cows Milk, but again it worth the move so I put it out of my mind, and keep on trucking down the road of life. Best wishes on living an mor natural existence.
Thank you and great suggestion. I'm fine with almond milk as I drank it part of the year in the states when dieting.
