- September 19, 2007 - Britney Spears decided to blow off some steam by hitting up Hollywood hotspots with Avril Lavigne!!! Britney arrived at Winston's at 11:30 with some other new friends, but an X17 inside source says once inside, Britney met up with Avril, cousin Alli Sims and Brandon Davis. After staying only about an hour, Britney and crew left and went to Hyde.

She didn’t hate them… she didn’t want to be as sexual as they were. Maybe at some point she said that she lost some respect for Britney for undressing and being provocative or maybe lipsyncing and maybe she said that it’s useless to complain about paparazzi if you chose to be a celebrity… but these claims are not verified, they are just reported by tabloids with no video proof. Even if they were true, in none of these statements Avril said that she hated Britney. In actual videos she said that she doesn’t consider herself an anti-Britney and that she hates that label. She also said that her goal wasn’t to diss Britney and that “she just wants to do her thing”. Also, later on she said that Britney had it really hard and that the paparazzi and the media indeed abused her… she even said that she does karaoke of Britney songs like Oops I did it again, and she said that she likes many of her songs (such as Gimme more). She even publicly attended one of her Las Vegas concerts in 2016, they hung out together in this video and in their online interactions they have always been friendly. I don’t think she hates Britney at all, she’s probably a fan. I just think that when she was 18 she wanted to make clear that she didn’t want to follow Britney’s artistic direction, but she had nothing against Britney as a person
