I'm a hardcore metal fan, have been since i was seven starting with Kiss and Sabbath back in the late 70's and moving on to bands like Maiden and Judas Priest, but everything Ren touches and creates is so damn honest, mad talented and just pure genius that i totally fell in love with his music and the dude himself, he's got a big heart and is so grounded, he's one of a very few that come along in someone's lifetime, like Cobain or Mercury, so just enjoying the ride because he's brought music alive again in an era of pop music bullsh!t!!
I'm not a metal head myself, but imo, it's Ren himself who's metal af, like, as a human on this planet. He then also manages to translate the things he's been thru that *make* him metal af, into his music/art/poetry in ways that hit people hard no matter what their experience in life has been & I think metal heads probably feel it on a pretty guttural level.
That's my perspective, anyway.

Don't know what you like, but for some of his stuff that's different to what you've listened to so far , maybe Chalk Outlines, How To Be Me, or his band The Big Push, War Pigs mash up. ❤
I am not a rap fan but Ren is fascinating, I agree. The rap songs from Sick boi album, to drop next month were recorded nearly 2 years ago and kept back as he knew he would be stuck in Canada for treatment. I believe the next album will be song based.
Chalk outlines, Fire, or Crutch ft. Bibi might be something you could get behind. Also, the Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full Version) is dark AF.
He really has been in his heavier rap bag for a while now.

Ren said after he puts out his 18 song rap album he's going back to his roots of singing. I love the rap but can't wait for more singing songs lol
I would suggest you do " Chalk Outlines Live with Chinchilla, it is truly a classic. If you want more reggae try " I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop or if you want heavy The Big Push " War Pigs " something calming " Humble " or try one of the other 200 videos, they are all different!

except Ren... for he's a MASTER CLASS artist who has an awful lot to say and to show and to give.
Everybody should know of him.
I also wish to second and third with forthwith all the calls for the Trilogy;
Tale of Jenny, Tale of Screech and Violet's Tale (Full Version).
Although, as a sixties kid, I'm not altogether new to that type of song presentation (Bard-singing was quite popular back then with artists like Bob Dylan, Donovan etc),
but Ren's presentation is something to behold. You have no clue how much you want to see it until you saw and heard it.
2 other songs I would like to recommend are:
Losing it and Children Of The Moon.
They are on top of my Ren playlist at the moment.

If you want to combine Ren with your taste, there is some spooky Ren, such as Children of the Moon. Might be a good one to do to meet him on common ground.
The songs you have reacted to are actually his newer stuff which will be released soon 18 Tracks altogether. His catalogue goes back 11 years
You absolutely have to do tales of Jenny and Schreech full version. It is a trilogy but you need to see all three for the full story. They are tales done in one takes out on the street playing guitar, waking around telling tragic stories. Amazing! It is like nothing you have ever seen.

Love your honesty. You’re bound to get a ton of recommendations and I’d personally add my vote to The Tales of Jenny, Screech & Violet , Humble, Ocean, How to be Me (Live), Suic!de followed by For Joe (important to read the background notes on those before listening / watching), Money Game Pt II, Love Music Pt III, the list goes on. Really hope there’s something that ends up in your playlist eventually! And if not, it doesn’t matter, he provides an incredible journey.

Have you discovered Chinchilla?? Another British artist. She does music with Ren but also has her own, along side what another's have suggested of her and Ren, may I suggest Fingers Live, Elements the lyric version, and Little Girl Gone video. 😊😊😊😊

Ocean, Humble and Fire are all more up (what I've heard of your) alley. Heretic is also solid, and underrepresented in reactions.
Rens bag of songs is so diverse. His recent ones are part of a hip hop album he wrote before he left for medical treatment a year ago. All his less hip hop stuff stretches over the many years before, including an album dedicated to a friend Jo who took his own ....
On the 10th anniversary he wrote For Joe ....over the next month he's releasing the full hip hop album, but is currently writing a more rock album. ...but yea, many fans just love him as a genuine person...listen to all the recent Ren interviews

Ren is more of a singer, songwriter and musician than rapper and he admits that. He kills it with rapping BUT if you want to hear his true style check out Chalk Outlines, How To Be Me, Heretic, Humble with Eden Nash (that's more of a reggae/rap style)
Also his band The Big Push. They do amazing live covers of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" Rolling Stones "Paint It Black" Ren plays bass on that one and Goran sings. Also their mash up of Bob Marley's "I Shot The Sheriff/Road to Zion and Hip Hop" and make sure it's the video with all three of those songs. You'll know it's the right one if Ren is wearing a white tank top with red suspenders.

As long as u started with Hi Ren, any order is fine. His back catalogues holds up, & his playfulness with rap stays on point...

If you want go down the Ren rabbit hole you really need to check out things like The Tales Of Jenny & Screech FULL version (13 minutes) which is classed as “bard core” (you’ll know when you listen to it lol)! It’s 3 songs/tales/stories in one and just like Hi Ren each tale is performed live and a one take! After that I’d probably go and do the Money Game before his newer stuff ❤

So you've hit the big 2 in the Ren rabbit hole, Hi Ren and Sick Boi. Basically him in recovery as he finally is getting the right treatment for Lyme Disease after being misdiagnosed for almost a decade and going crazy on the drugs and their side effects while dealing with the disease. Most of his releases in the last year were written before he began his treatments in Canada. A good shot of who Ren is began with Children of the Moon in 2018 as he was getting better. The tale of Jenny and Screech came out about that time. 2019-2021 gave us Money Game 1&2, Chalk Outlines (live version is a must watch), and How To Be Me which begins his coping about the suicide of his best friend Joe (later followed up this year with Suicide and For Joe). Some of the modern bangers from the last 18 months are Power, Hunger, Genesis, What You Want, Animal Flow, Illest of our Time. Also he has a ton of great stuff with The Big Push band he was in and collaborations with Sam Tompkins (What Went Wrong 1 and 2 are awesome).

Ifyou like alternative music you should do How to Be Me with Chinchilla, Ren does a lot o genres so I sure he will have something in a style you like, if you want to be scared watch the Tale of Jennie and Sreech trilogy ( it is really artsy but he is a fantastic story teller) .
I watched your reaction to Falling in Reverse Last Resort, the way you looked watching it makes me really sure that How to Be Me is the right song for you to watch next.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this in the few songs that you’ve watched of RENs, but most of his videos are all done in one take one seamless shot and you should definitely check out some more of his old stuff although all his newer stuff are Bangerz too
You might like some of the stuff he does with his band "The Big Push". I have a feeling that might be more your style. Two suggestions. 1. "I Shot the Sherriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop," and 2. "War Pigs" Black Sabbath Cover. Both live street performances from the same day and in that order. Give them a try.

F*ck, he's just dropped a new album. It's mostly gold. Do it all! There's such a broad range. Admittedly, it does help if you like UK Drill. And Reggae. Personally, I'm Deathcore to the...well, core. I do like a certain style of rap though. Eminem. KAAN (ooh! You should definitely check him out if you like Em. Try his Rap God Remix), Ren here, that kind of thing. He is the best of people. Sh*t, even his diss track was twisted to the light.

I was wondering if you could do some Lindsey Stirling I don't know if you have seen her yet or not but most of her stuff doesn't have words it's violin but it's failing in a manner that is both new and classic actually gets used on quite a bit of video game material❤ so you might have run across some of it. There are a few songs with other artists where there are words one of the bigger ones is her in addition of radioactive with Pentatonix.
Definitely not the song to get you hooked on lol. He touches every genre. Writes his own music, producer of all his beats. Directing his own videos. Most of his videos are one take live videos too. He's a master at perfection. Truly cares about the art

I like this one as a ok song, but its far from a top ten or even top 20 Ren song imo, what i like most in this is actually just the one shoot video, not the song itself that much, well Ren got plenty of better ones, this one just didnt get me hyped up, and is proberly the worst of the newest, if you can put it like that..
A guy named king Dotta recenly dissed Ren in a song(hes a jerk), Ren made a responce to that, i think thats a funny one, and its just released last week or so i belive..
To me this and animal flow are him experimenting with character. He has said he wants to work with Netflix on a series and these two songs seem like a step in that direction.
I think this is more about a commentary on how sick society has become where a song about violence is fine but a song about suicide is throttled on social media and CNN write hit pieces.
