- This video is an animated book review on Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman.
If you want to know how to live a happy life.. read this book (or at least watch the movie) and live by it. It’s filled with knowledge and deep insights. The book is about a young man named Dan who is a very competitive and ambitious gymnast. He trains very hard and all he wants is to win. One night while wandering about, he meets an old wise man named Socrates. Dan becomes his student and his life is forever changed. The old man challenges him in interesting ways and opens his mind into a whole new way of thinking and being.
"Life has three rules: Paradox, Humor, and Change.
Paradox: Life is a mystery; don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure.
Change: Know that nothing ever stays the same."

A peaceful warrior
1. A warrior acts; a fool reacts.
2. Every moment is unique; make it special for someone or productive for yourself.
3. You are not your thoughts; try to observe your thoughts from a distance.
4. Enjoy the journey; be happy now without the reason or you'll never be. Practice acceptance.
5. Be your own voice; follow your heart and control the controllables.
6. Forget your limitations; past is history, you can be different right now.
7. There is only now; where are you - HERE; what time is it - NOW; who are you - PRESENT MOMENT. You only have the present moment.
8. Don't be afraid of making mistakes; be decisive, and don't get bogged down by analysis-paralysis as you will never have enough information. Failures doesn't exist, only lessons do.
9. There is nothing to fear; take chances and try best.
10. Take responsibility for your life; don't blame others or circumstances. Differentiate between what you can control and what is beyond your control. No excuses please. Do your best forget the rest.
11. Everything happens for a reason; Allow, accept, investigate and learn the lessons.
12. Don't waste your life; wake up and value your time. Be grateful for this gift and put this to some good use.
13. Allow your emotions to be; find a way to channelize the energy of emotions in a constructive actions. You are not your emotions.
14. Let things go; accept what you cannot change.
15. Practice gratitude; the secret of happiness in not in seeking more but in developing the capacity to enjoying less.
i saw the movie 3 times in the first week it was mentioned to me. i read the book and i want to read it again. Those lessons are like a trance.
I highly recommend Dan Millman's other books as well - especially "Everyday Enlightenment".
Keep watching, reading and studying those things.
This is pure esoterical wisdom for theory and to practice.
The Best Book Summary I've Ever Seen. Each and every word makes sense. I express my heartfelt sense of gratitude towards you.
Thanks Victor! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the kind words! 😀
"That's my little rant." Love how you put it. 😄
Great video! Thank you so much!!
This movie and book was awesome very inspiring. I was fat, I started running lost all the weight and a year later had a goal of running marathon and eventually hiking the appalachian trail but my father got parkinsons and i had to slow down my run progress to help him. In 2022 we got him into assisted living and i was finally able to train again but 4 months ago I got into an ugly rolling car accident i thought I only broke ribs and had a concussion but 3 mo the later after returning to work i realized i have a messed up back and hand and I'm at the point of the story where my injuries are keeping down and I'm needing a Socrates or a Mr. Miyagi will pull me out of my apathy.
Oh sweetheart. You’ve done amazing. So, so much good❤
The movie was such a great work of art!! I want to read the book now!!!
Thanks for sharing this..I've been a fan of the book and movie for many years. I also recommend reading the rest of the books in the series. I listen to them on Audible. They are very well narrated..In order, The Way of the PW, Sacred Journey of the PW, The Hidden School, The Journey of Socrates..The last is an amazing story but definitely a bit darker. Still it gives one a better understanding of Socrates. Peace!
Thanks Jay. I’ll check them out!
I am so happy that you posted! Great read

Thanks Nicolas! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Very well done.
Thank you so much for your sharing wonderful explanation 🙏💞💐🙏
You may have touched on this, im not sure. The "now" is all we are, all we will ever be. But "now" is an infinitely small slice and it's only definition is to keep the past and the future apart. Clearly we don't exist!
Damn!!!!thank you so much for fishing video!!!! I will watch it every morning

I found it by fate. I was meant to read this book exactly when I did.
Dude, same here.. it came at a very interesting time in my life. A good read indeed!
@@wisdom-for-life ❤️. It really is a book that changes lives
Shouldnt Love be a life rule?
🙏💯
The book is great, the "B" movie was good.
Agreed!
A contemporary school book report.
I want to know who Socrates in the movie was?
The movie is called Peaceful Warrior and Socrates is played by Nick Nolte. It’s a good movie!
@@wisdom-for-life i know but is socrates his intuition or actual person ? I never got that haha
@@lovorka3321 I haven't had the chance to read the book yet, so I can't speak on that. As far as the film adaptation is concerned, that detail is never explained. I suspect that it may have been done that way on purpose, so that we can decide for ourselves what Socrates is or isn't. I hope that helps .
@@christhatcher2742 thank you 💜
@@lovorka3321 Anytime ☺️
Disagree. The book was off the wall. The film is far superior.
NÖ PÆÆCÆ
Completely disagree. I think the movie was far superior to the book. The book gets really really weird and off the wall super natural.
Nice video insightful jargon though the narration lacks enthusiasm
This book was truly awful. So contrived such insanely fake dialogue.
I only read it because I had too.
What a shit book
You sound like a miserable asshole.
When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
