Because the current copyright system is lifetime of the creator + 70 years, so these commercials won't hit the Public Domain until around the 2180s.

well it's close to that time of year so, patience. Even though the last couple have been a bit of a lackluster (he really jumped the shark in the 2015 one, at least that's my opinion)

Nope. That comes next month around Thanksgiving. Originally, I said "October or November" but then I looked at the commercial vids and noticed a pattern. Except for the Top 11 Christmas commercials, all of the Commercial videos came out towards the end of November.

Yeah, that's not the only reason this hasn't aged well. The 2 sexual assault ads in the light of accusations against Doug by a coworker resulting in most of Channel Awesome leaving kind of makes those in parts very cringy.
