My dad was Catholic and my mom was the quintessential non-denominational Christian. Their marriage was the 2nd for them both. The Catholic church didn't recognize their marriage; this was in the mid 50s. My dad wouldn't let my mom take us to any church but the Catholic church, so my mom became our Bible teacher. I loved God from a young age and became a born again Christian at 14. Years later, my dad was dying from cancer and I read the passage about being born again to him from his Bible. I told him the importance, then prayed for him later. The next time I went to visit my parents he called me over, patting the couch next to where he was laying. He said, "I prayed that prayer." I was ecstatic! Both of my parents have moved to Heaven and I'm so glad I will see them again one day. I love your videos!

lol praying a prayer doesn’t get you to heaven. Faith without works is dead. You don’t just spout Romans 10:9.
We are judged by many things at the end, so we must endure until then, no OSAS.
Remember Romans 10:9 is contextual theology, back in Rome circa 60 ad if you confessed, you may be stoned, beaten, tortured, condemned. So that was a true sign of faith to go as far as to say it in public. It was a type of “work” faith through action so to speak.
In 2022 if you utter Christ is Lord, nobody cares. Heaven isn’t about saying the magic spell….lol

All you need to do is ask for salvation. It's as simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less. You (and I) owe a debt to God because we are sinners. We can never pay that debt but Christ paid it completely. Salvation is a gift, something you did nothing to gain. His work on the Cross paid that debt forever...it can never be lost or destroyed. ❤Accept Him & you're saved.

which is why being born again is so important. John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.
So that we received the gift of the Holy Spirit
and It is the Holy Spirit in our life who enables our actions to be see as righteousness in the sight of God which a person receives who is being baptized by immersion as per Acts 2:38
Which is why baptism by immersion as per Acts 2:38 is so important
He that overcome all sin in their life. shall have the right to the Tree of Life.
We are to overcome all sin in your life with the help of the Holy Spirit.
We are to Be perfect in Christ. which is a moment by moment and on a day by day process of obedience to the will of God out of Love, with the help of the Holy Spirit in our life.
Once a person has repented of their sins, at that moment because they have been forgiven of sin at that moment they are perfect in Christ and as long as they do not sin again they are still perfect in Christ.
and if for some reason we do sin again then we need to ask for forgiveness again. And at the moment we are perfect in Christ.
The objective in being forgiven is to use that forgiveness to overcome all sin in your life by giving up whatever sin or sins it is in your life that you are asking to be forgiven of.
      Salvation is a two-step process.
Being justified by what Jesus Christ did for us by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior is the first step in salvation
and then after being justified by what Jesus Christ did for us because you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior then the second step in salvation is sanctification and sanctification is a moment by moment and a day by day process of obedience to the will of God out of love all of the days of your life after accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
Remember 1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Becoming perfect in Christ. Is that Possible. Answer. Yes it is.
it is possible to be perfect in Christ on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of the Holy Spirit. once a person has repented of their sins at that moment because they have been forgiven of sin, at that moment they are perfect in Christ and as long as they do not sin again they are still perfect in Christ.
and if for some reason we do sin again then we need to ask for forgiveness and again we are perfect in Christ.
The objective in being forgiven is to use that forgiveness to overcome all sin in your life.
Also God wants us to be literal about the sins or sin that we are asking to be forgiven of.
And part of asking for forgiveness is, that we will choose to give up in our lives whatever sin or sins it is that we are asking to be forgiven of.
and God's grace covers the sins that we have committed that we are not aware of that we have committed.
So yes it is possible on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of the Holy Spirit to be perfect in Christ.
Rom 8:29,30 For those God foreknew (who works out all things) he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Beloved: God would not ask us to do something if it was not possible to do.
With God all things are possible to those who believe.
Be Holy just as He has called you to be holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." 1 Peter 1:15-16
It is possible to be perfect in Christ on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of God the Holy Spirit by confessing our sin or sins and by choosing not to sin.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
The moment a person is forgiven of what ever sin or sins it is that they have asked to be forgiven of. At that moment they are perfect in Christ
God also wants us to be specific about what we are asking to be forgiven of.
And if you choose to sin again after being forgiven then you are to ask Jesus for forgiveness again.
and Part of asking for forgiveness also means that you will choose to give up in your life whatever sin it is that you are asking to be forgiven of.
otherwise a person is taking advantage of God's grace.
With God in our lives, all things are possible.
The moment a person is forgiven of whatever sin it is that they have asked to be forgiven of. At that moment they are perfect in Christ because Christ is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins
And as long as you do not sin again, you will remain perfect in Christ because you have not sinned again.
But if you do sin thereafter then you are ask to Jesus to forgive you again who is faithful and just to do so and at that moment again you are perfect in Christ again.
But Part of asking for forgiveness also means that you will choose to give up in your life whatever sin it is that you are asking to be forgiven of. Otherwise a person is taking advantage of God's grace.
Keeping trying to overcome all sin in your life and never give up trying is my advice
Complete surrender to the will of God by doing His will is a requirement to salvation.
How to totally surrender to God.
Constantly, throughout the day, continue to ask God what He wants you to do and then wait and listen to what He says through the Holy Spirit and He will let you know what he wants you to do.
And if you get done with what He asked you to do then ask God again what it is that He wants you to do and then wait and listen to what He says and He will let you know through the Holy Spirit what he wants you to do next.
Repeat this process over and over again throughout the day. always, everyday and forever. For sin is no longer the master of a person who has been born again as per Acts 2:38 Baptism by immersion

I was raised Roman Catholic. I left when I was 15. I asked too many questions for them. I asked them why I should a priest father when the Bible clearly states call no man father before me. I asked hwy should i pray to Mary? Why are we pray to saints? Why am i asked to kiss the feet of statues, are they not idols? They would say it is ritual, I would say is it not stated in the Bible we are not to participate in in rituals. They could not answer any of my questions honestly. I left the church. I then went to many churches. I have found that most are about money. They are about getting rich off the congregation. I prayed hard for many years and felt led by God to become Ordained. I am now an Evangelical Pastor. I preach where God leads me. My church is open air. I do not get paid. More often then not i give to the homeless and that is my reward. He has brought me from the brinks of death more than once. He has led me from the gates of hell. I know without a shadow of a doubt Jesus is my Lord and Savior. No other can save me. He is the only one. I am a sinner and by God grace i am forgiven. Amen

A statue or image of a person is NOT an idol. An idol is MUCH MORE than a simple statue or image. An image only becomes an IDOL when it is worshipped (and Catholics do not Worship images).
Likewise, the act of kissing an image of someone is NOT an act of Worshipping that image; it is simply a gesture that is a physical expression of the love we have for the person depicted in the image, and NOT the image ITSELF.
I don't know where people got this idea that "to kiss an object" = "to worship an object". This is simply not true, and there is no evidence to support such a claim

Unfortunately, in trying to "take apart" what I said, you made the mistake of isolating Bible verses that weren't meant to be interpreted in isolation.
A good example is Exodus 20:4 and Exodus 20:5. Exodus 20:4 condemns the MAKING of graven images while Exodus 20:5 condemns the WORSHIPPING of graven images (" you shall not bow down to them or worship them").
These two verses make up ONE single commandment. They are NOT meant to be viewed seperately.
In other words, a person is guilty of idolatry only when he MAKES a graven image AND then goes ahead to WORSHIP it. If a person MAKES a graven image WITHOUT going ahead to worship it , he has NOT committed idolatry.
There are many examples in the Bible of people who MADE graven images WITHOUT worshipping them. And in those cases, God DID NOT accuse them of idolatry. For instance, in 1 kings 10: 18 - 20, Solomon MADE graven images of lions as decoration for his throne. He DIDN'T make them for the purpose of WORSHIPPING them. The Bible never described that act as idolatry. Why ? Because those graven images were DECORATIONS or BEAUTIFYING ARTWORK; they were NOT idols.
How about the coin with the graven image of the emperor on it ? Did Jesus describe that image as an IDOL ? No. Instead, He permitted the Jews to use the coin for payment of taxes (Mark 12:12 - 17). This is because even though they MADE that graven image on the coin, they didn't make it for the purpose of WORSHIPPING it but for the purpose of using it as money for making payments.
It is quite ridiculous to describe EVERY graven image made by man as an idol, irrespective of whether or not they are being worshipped.
When you say that kissing an object is showing love to THAT object and nothing else, you are simply giving me YOUR OWN opinion, because you haven't provided any evidence that God sees the kissing of ANY object as a way of loving AND Worshipping THAT object.

I started over and completed the whole Bible in 2021 and started again in 2022. I like going cover to cover but someday I may try the chronological way just for fun…lol. This year the Lord really opened up my eyes in Leviticus. It’s my 4th time to read that book but it really hit me hard this year. How grateful I am for the one time (It is finished) substitutionary atonement Jesus made for me that I do not have to offer a goat or a bull every time I sin. How grateful I am that I can go boldly before the throne of grace…and ask for help in my time if need. I’m grateful that I finally understand that being a Christian doesn’t make me perfect just forgiven…I can repent and receive forgiveness when I sin. I can know that I have eternal life b/c I’m not relying on my own goodness (none are good but God) but fully trusting in Jesus’ name. Reading the Bible will always be on my “to do” list. I love learning about God and that is how He speaks to us. I’ve made new friends at Church…they’re on the same page. ☺️

@@ForumLight Jesus is not the human vessel God resides in, He is God, that’s a heresy. That’s like saying Jesus is a man, except that God inhabited Him. Jesus is One Person, and is both fully man and fully God, two natures in One Person, that’s called the Mystery of the Hypostatic Union. That’s a very ancient heresy, that Jesus is two persons, a human and another divine. And actually, people used Mother of God as a rebuttal against this heresy. Your birth a Person, not a Nature. Mary helped Conceive, She Bore, and Birthed, the Person of Christ, who is both fully Man and God. So, when you say Mary just birthed the human aspect of Jesus or say Mary is the Mother of Jesus not the Mother of God, you are effectively doing what the ancient heretics did. By saying Mary only birthed the human side of Jesus, you effectively split Jesus into two Persons, as He is One Person with Two Natures, and that is who Mary Birthed. So, you can’t say that Mary isn’t the Mother of God, because She is the Mother of Jesus, who is God. You would be splitting Jesus into two separate people. Catholics don’t believe Mary created God, but we do believe She is the Mother of Jesus, and your the Mother of a Person, not a Nature, otherwise your separating Christ into two persons, hence, Mary is the Mother of God.

@@ForumLight Catholics believe Mary was saved by the Power of the Cross, but She was saved in a different way than us. She was saved by God keeping Her from sin, instead of saving Her from sin She committed. God often saves people by keeping them from committing sin, such as when he keeps a man from having relations with Abraham’s wife in Genesis. Think of a pit, Jesus saves us by throwing a rope for us to get out of the pit, Jesus saves Mary by stopping Her from falling in. So, this verse doesn’t refute Catholic doctrine, because Catholics believe Mary was and is, saved. And that She has a very special role in the salvation plan as the New Eve, and such.

Only He gets the worship and praise. Most of us are guilty of putting mere men/women on Pedestals (Famous Religious personalities or Politicians esp., but family members as well). When we start seeing them as sinners like ourselves, we trust only Jesus and God's Word, which is Truth.

At 30 years old, I began to read the New Testament to prove someone wrong (what a motivation!) and found Jesus. I repented right there and became a sponge, learning about and living for Jesus. Are they too busy creating new Churches because they all have different interpretations of the Bible and do not agree with one another and hence go out of the Church to form yet another Church? Well, here is one of the reasons as to why you will not see Mary the Mother of God, the Intercessor on behalf of the World, being mentioned in the Bible as the Mother of James, Joseph, Simon and Judas: It is crystal clear that Paul is speaking about the Apostles in Galatians 1:19"But I did not see any other of the Apostles, only James the brother of the Lord". He says that he saw only James, the brother of Jesus. We know that 2 of the 12 Apostles were named James, James the son of Zebedee and James the son of Alphaeus. So if we go back to Matthew 13:55, we find that James is mentioned as a brother of Jesus as well. Both the Apostles had different Fathers. So how can Mary be the Mother of one of the Apostles? See also Luke 6:12-16 :Jesus chooses the 12 Apostles. Like it or not, Mary is the Queen of heaven and all generations shall call her blessed as in Luke 1:48.

There's a perception that the Bible takes precedence over the spoken words of God found in Jesus. The question of what holds priority, tradition, or the Bible, adds another layer of complexity. Please Show me where in the Bible (by quoting) that Christ "founded" Catholicism / the Catholic Church
And please do NOT state that Matthew 16:18 is the passage that mentions that as it does NOT do so, even tho that passage is often taken out of context by Catholics to give credence to the Catholic Church
In fact there is no where in the Bible where it mentions Christ coming to create a new religion, especially one partially made up out of Paganism

You are Correct when you mention the word "Universal" for the term Catholic as that is exactly what the word Catholic means "Universal",
The Catholic religion used that term "Catholic" (aka Universal) for a Reason that you do not seem to realise, and that is they combined Christianity and Paganism together as one to create Catholicism, which is a fact that you can easily verify if you wanted to, if You did not already know
The early RCC combined Paganism and Christianity together as one and created Catholicism so they could appease the Roman people at that time as majority of them was Pagan, which is also another reason why they used the term Catholic as they did not want to be seen as Christians and upset the Pagans who they wanted to join their new religion of Catholicism
It had nothing to do with Christ founding the Church, IF it was then as the Bible mentions "evil would not prevail against it" which you should know evil has prevailed against the RCC in various ways
What term do you call the Catholic Popes and Priests ? the term "Father" ? which is going against the Bible and is of the Anti Christ due to it teaching something different than what is Biblically correct

Stating they gave the Bible is a poor excuse at trying to state the RCC is the true Church when the Bible already states what the True Church of Christ is

First off, one has to realize that in the Greek that the New Testament was written in, there is no specific word for “brother,” but rather a generic word that could mean brother or cousin or nephew. That Greek word is “adelphos.” This word “adelphos” is used numerous times in the New Testament to describe “the brothers of Jesus.” Specifically, in Matthew 13:55-56, four men are named as the brothers (adelphos) of Jesus - James, Joseph, Simon, and Jude. But if you cross reference Matthew 13:55-56 with John 19:25, it says that at the cross were present the mother (the Blessed Virgin Mary) of Jesus, and her sister Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary of Magdala! That is 3 Mary’s at the foot of the cross! Why is this significant? Because in Matthew 27:56, we learn Mary the wife of Clopas is the mother of James and Joseph, the cousins, not brothers, of Jesus. Tradition has it that St. Jude is also the cousin of Jesus.

I was raised a Catholic and even went to their schools. I was taught many things about the Catholic doctrine. But, I have to say that even as a child of 6 years old I was having trouble with some of the teaching. When I read the Bible for myself, I had issues with some things I was taught. For instance the Bible says in Matthew not to call any man father because we have One Father in heaven. But the Catholic church calls their priests father.
The bible is very clear that their is one mediator between God and man. He is Jesus. A person can say that a priest will forgive your sins if you confess them to him but the fact is when Jesus died on the cross he made a way for us to go directly to the Father. If you look at Matthew 27:51, the veil was torn from top to bottom. Showing us that the separation between us and God was removed. You see a man cannot forgive sins only God, and a priest no matter what they say is just a man. No man can take God’s place in any form.

Daniel- see my (unfortunately long) response above regarding the use of the word 'Father'. If Ray's literal interpretation was right, you couldn't call your Dad 'father', and we would have no understanding to know what a 'father' is when God is described AS our (perfect) Father! He takes it (wrongly in this case) literally-- the same Chapter would also have us NEVER use the word teacher or master-- so the words Doctor, Mister, Mrs, Father, and Teacher would all be banned from Christian use... Except Paul in the NT calls HIMSELF a Father... Jesus meant don't use titles to appear important and get the 'best seat at the table'. In terms of one mediator between God and man- you are right in the primary sense-- that person is the God/Man Jesus Christ, our Savior (see 1Tim2:5 for the Bible showing this). However, Jesus DOES use others. For example, there are two places in the Bible where God 'breathes' on something-- the first is in Genesis, when He breathes on clay to create Adam. The second is when Jesus breathes on the Apostles in John 20 and gives them the power (HIS POWER) to forgive sins: " “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:22-23). So our Catholic Priests aren't forgiving sins on their own (they are men like you and me)-- Jesus Christ/God is acting THROUGH them. And we certainly know that it wasn't only way back when the apostles were here that a culture was sinful and needed a LOT of forgiveness! Finally, even St Paul speaks of how God is working through the ministry-- Paul is continuing Christ's ministry of reconciliation, not "AS PAUL", but God working THROUGH Paul. Same with Priests-- God can work through them, even though they be sinners! Bible quote: Paul, “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18). May God richly bless you and your family --- people are waiting to hear the saving Gospel :)

Ray, I thank God for the beautiful work that you do to turn people’s heart towards the Lord. I am a practicing Roman Catholic and am forever greatful that I have the absolute privilege of receiving Jesus’ precious Body and Blood every Sunday. What a blessing, that Jesus humbled Himself so much that I, a completely unworthy sinner, may receive Him completely so often. It is something I will not be able to understand during my duration on Earth. I also praise our Blessed Mother that she continuously brings us back to her Son Jesus and is a brilliant model of humility. We have incredible respect for Our Lady as she was chosen by the Almighty to carry and raise the Son of the living God. None of us would be even get close to being worthy of that role. This is why I don’t understand how other Christians don’t give her even the smallest amount of respect that she deserves. In every imagine I have seen of the Mother Mary, she is bowing her head in prayer. We do not worship her, but we venerate her purity and grace. The only desire of her heart is that she may bring people to her Blessed son who she fully knows is God. She always points my heart to Jesus and i am ever thankful to her. She is a beautiful representation of joy and peace. I pray that Christian’s start to realise that. Thank you for bearing with me if you got this far! God bless you brothers and sisters in Christ

That's an idol! Christians do it in remembrance of, not part of our works! We are not saved by our works least any man should boast! Ephesians 2:9 11Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands- 12remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. 17AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; 18for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

How much more important would it be for the Church to teach, with authority, the truth to the faithful? The Bible contains history, idioms, hyperbole, poetry, and different languages that people don’t speak today, and you believe that anyone can pick up the Bible and come to a knowledge of the truth without making mistakes? Don’t forget that one mistake can put your soul at risk for damnation. This is why the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church guides the faithful in her wisdom over 2000 years.

Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. It is real awkward to share the gospel with strangers. It makes me anxious to walk up to someone. I have been doing it. I find that if I say “hello, my name is Scott. What’s your name?” That is a good entry point. It calms my nerves a bit and then I can have a conversation with them. I don’t particularly follow what ray does, but I share that I was a sinner, Jesus saved me and I am going to Heaven. It isn’t because I am good or deserve Heaven, but because I accepted Jesus as my savior and recognize that He took my place and paid the cost of my sin. When you share with people, you will find most will listen to you and are cordial. Don’t let the devil hold you back. I have done that and I regret it. You can do this

I grew up Catholic and fell away from the faith. In my late '50's I came back to my faith. I read the Bible while waiting for Mass to begin every weekend. I was too young to really comprehend my faith at such a young age. However, once I decided to investigate my Catholic faith thoroughly, I started to understand my faith. It took a LOT more than just reading the Bible. Don't misunderstand, the Bible is an important part. Some of the Protestant faiths changed the Catholic Bible to fit their beliefs. Born again is Protestantism. Our original sin is washed away during baptism. We ask for the Blessed Mother to intercede for us. The Rosary has a decade in that when the water was turned to wine. How many saints do Protestants have? Not one I can think of. Martin Luther formed Protestantism and he had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. That faded away after awhile. So yes, I do not agree with just being so called born again. Jesus died on the cross for us so we can inherit eternal life. Repent and be saved by the body and blood of Jesus. God bless

As a Roman Catholic, I have to say that we NOT and would NEVER worship any icon or idol. What we do is VENERATE them for what they represent. It's like in a funeral there's a photo of the person that died an everyone kisses it, they are not worshiping it, they are VENERATING it for who represents. Also, in the council of Nicea II (787) EVERYONE agreed on the veneration of icons, in that time, there was just 1 church, founded by JESUS CHRIST himself, and that church agreed on it.
Jesus left the Holy Spirit, and a church, this church is guided by the Holy Spirit and holds the truth. That's why I belive that to find the truth, we must look back to the original church that thaught the truth.

Paul said this so that the Gentiles would understand that the Lord Christ had been sent to the Jews and so they would not be proud. Since the Jews rejected what had been sent to them, it happened that the gospel was also preached to the Gentiles, as is most clearly written in the Acts of the apostles, when the apostles say to the Jews: “It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you … judge yourselves unworthy … behold, we turn to the Gentiles.” It also agrees with the Lord’s own testimony, when he said: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” and: “It is not right for the children’s bread to be thrown to the dogs.” If the Gentiles think carefully, they will realize by their own faith, by which they now believe that to the pure all things are pure, that they should not offend those Jewish converts who, perhaps from weakness, dare not touch certain kinds of meat, fearing that it has been in contact with idols.

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, - Romans 15:8
Christ Jesus was minister of the circumcision, who came both for the salvation of the Jews, and of the Gentiles, who preached and would have his gospel first preached to the Jews, for the truth of God to confirm the promises made to the fathers, that he, the Messias, should be sent for their salvation; but at the same time also for the salvation and conversion of the Gentiles, which he confirms by divers evident testimonies of the holy Scriptures. (Witham)
He calls our Saviour the minister of circumcision, that is, of the Jews, because he appeared amongst them, dwelt amongst them, and himself preached amongst them. This was a privilege which the Gentiles did no enjoy, having never seen, nor heard Jesus Christ, since he confined his preaching to the strayed sheep of the house of Israel; and this, to accomplish the promises made to their fathers. I have been saved many years, but could never really grasp saving grace, though I knew I was saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, every time I sinned I felt terrible and worried that I wasn't saved. Even though my feeling terrible was actually proof of salvation because I was being convicted and chastened. God only convicts and chastens those that are His. But I was raised to believe that if you're truly saved you won't sin because you can't sin, so if you sin then you weren't actually saved.Needless to say I stayed in such a fearful state, fearing death so much! But I listened to a Paul Washer sermon and I believe God used his sermon to teach me that we are saved by grace period, no buts no ands grace alone period! I realized that even if it was possible to never commit sin I still couldn't stand before a thrice Holy God because I was born in sin, God is a consuming fire and I would be consumed if I went before Him in my self righteousness!!! But OH!! Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him!!!!! It takes the blood of Jesus Christ covering my sinful state and soul, so that through Christ I can come BOLDLY before thrice HOLY GOD and praise Him and cast my cares upon Him. I hope this will help someone else who may have been taught this wrong way. God bless my brethren and save the lost. Thank you sir for teaching me how to witness to the lost, I hope to be able to witness in such a way one day! Glory be to God for blessing you with such a gift! Adding something after reading the comments, I absolutely know we MUST REPENT and turn from our sins, but if you do sin after you are saved, that doesn't nullify your redemption. That is the point I was making, but people thought I was saying you don't need to repent, well you DO have to repent and also CONFESS with your mouth that you are a sinner and know that it takes the blood of Jesus to wash those sins away. Hope that clears things up a bit.

I have a Catholic Bible and the passage about images is in there. I used to teach Catholic Catechism, but I don't remember ever skipping over the commandment on images. What surprises me is how people ignore the words, "for yourself." In other words, don't make images for sinful reasons, like the type of posters that some people have of models on their wall. Those words, "for yourself," is defined more clearly in Joshua 22, where some Israelites were accused of building an altar for themselves. When they explained themselves to the leaders, the leaders reported it to the other Isrealites, who were then glad and praised God. We must also not forget the times when the Israelites built images and used them, like the bronze serpent in Numbers, or the cherubim and animals in Solomon's temple. It's good to read the Bible, but it's equally important to pay attention to every word it says.

      1. Let's talk about the alter the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and half of Menasseh built beyond the Jordan. They repeated over and over it was not for sacrifice and offerings, i.e., not for worship, but they built it as a witness for future generations that they too were part of Israel though separated from the rest by the Jordan.
In verse 28, they call it "the pattern of the alter". I don't know what your Bible says there, but the Hebrew uses the word "Tavnit תבנית", meaning pattern or image. The LXX has the Koine Greek word "omoíoma ὁμοίωμα" wich also means image or mock up.
In other words, *the alter they built was not a real alter, otherwise the other Israelites would not have let them get away with it.*
      2. Concerning the images they made: the oxen, lions, cherubims, palm trees, pomegranates, flowers, all these were decorations, not for bowing down to. The brazen serpent they were told to "look at it", not to bow down to it.
*In conclusion, the prohibition is clear: do not make for yourself an image and bow down to it.*

After many decades of spiritual attacks and not knowing they were spiritual attacks, I started reading the Good Book. Once I saw Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high ." and Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.", my life changed for the better. I’m a Catholic revert and I came to this video to learn on what my separate brethren believe of the Catholic Church. I’m not afraid of learning from others and their beliefs. Based on this video, and the various ex-Catholic comments, I can truly say that many have a negative/wrong view of the Catholic Church. I searched in other churches for the “truth”. Non-denom, Lutheran, Mormon etc but nothing resembles the Catholic Church teachings. If you dive back to history, the early church fathers, the works of the disciples it all goes back to Christ. Where as these other churches grew from “man” and man’s beliefs. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ and at least we believe in the same God. But to all my ex-Catholics/non-Catholics I urge to reconsider and actually deep dive and learn more of what the church teaches. I admit some take some devotions too far, yes not everyone is synchronized in the beliefs, and yes many don’t know how to defend our faith. However, we shouldn’t shy away from true doctrine that ultimately turns back to Christ. I highly urge everyone to watch Dr. Taylor Marshall here on CZcams. I think at least, to be fair, if you want to NOT be Catholic at least you should really learn why you’re not and at least be OPEN to understanding what the church teaches. I mean, isn’t that what Jesus asks from us, for our hearts? Why do you think he told the Pharisee’s “what is easier: to tell a man that his sins are forgiven or to get up and walk?” Even Jesus knew that the Pharisees hearts were so closed to the belief that the son of god could forgive sins and that he could also ask a paralytic man walk. I have had negative experiences within the Catholic Church but that doesn’t mean I turn away at the truth. I learn to follow Christ and his true teaching. People fail but God never does. His truth is exactly that and we shouldn’t try to turn our backs because people fail. I have also had negative experiences with the non-denom/Protestant but that doesn’t mean they’re “bad” people. I’m a no-one and truthfully someone who has a lot yet to learn. But there’s one thing I do know- I just hope when God calls me to his glory, I hope he see’s that I did everything to learn his truth. I encourage you to do the same.
I pray, that we all come to one truth, one church as he intended. God bless, peace be with you all, and that our blessed mother intercede for everyone in the comments and the maker of the video. ✝️🌹

With respect, I have some information that challenges Catholic theology, and while I can agree with some of your statements on the need to be unified under Christ, this is a matter of major differences on essential issues, like a grace-based or works-based Gospel, one of which cannot save. I have a question: Jesus taught the Eucharist in John 6, and wasn't crucified until around John 19-20. Given the Catholic church's teaching on transubstantiation (wine turns into blood), *did the wine turn into blood at the first Eucharist (ie. Jesus' living, unsacrificed blood)?* And *how do you reconcile that with passages that prohibit drinking blood in both the Old and New Testaments (Lev **17:11**-14, Acts 15:29)?*
*"...the flesh counts for nothing..."* (John 6:63)
The Protestant position on this is that the Eucharist (we call it "Communion") Is a spiritual ceremony, which Jesus Himself said in context in John 6:63. When the disciples were expressing concern over Jesus' command to "drink His blood," He responded and told them *"the flesh counts for nothing"* and further explained that His teaching was "spirit and life" (John 6:63). *If Jesus Himself said that "the flesh counts for nothing" in context of the Eucharist, then how do you reconcile that with the Catholic teaching that you must consume literal human flesh and blood in order to be saved?* This isn't a problem in Protestant theology, but it is a problem for Catholic theology which ignores John 6:63 and contradicts Leviticus 17:11-14 and Acts 15:29.
*"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."* (Ephesians 2:8-9)
While I have reason to disagree with some of what you're teaching, I appreciate what you're trying to do and I hope this is well received. Blessings to you and yours.

His sacrifice means nothing because you’ve elevated Mary to His position. Jesus is the intercessor. Not Mary. She was a sinner, like everyone else. She needed Jesus to save her too. She hears nothing you say to her. And btw...according to the Bible, ALL those who have trusted &. believed in ONLY Jesus for salvation are saints. And the church consists of those same Believers. It’s not the catholic organization. You also do not need priests...the veil was torn. Jesus is the High Priest. We need no one else! Just a few facts for you to think about.

At one time I was confused like this girl ... and many others in these videos. A work acquaintance told me, perhaps with fewer words, the same message. We only worked together for about two years and it took five years for what he had told me to break through my logical mind to become clear as day. I only tell this for the sake of those watching these videos who feel inspired to go out and do your own evangelizing. You may not see immediate results with some, but Jesus even made the example, if you plant this seed of truth into fertile soil (a willing soul) it *will* take root and grow. My work acquaintance never knew, still doesn't know to this day that his words changed my life and brought me properly to the Lord.

Catholics consider what Protestants call the 2d commandment as part of the first and as an elaboration of the first, so the part about making images is usually left out for the sake of brevity. The commands aren’t numbered in the Bible and if you compare the Exodus version with the Deuteronomy version, you’ll find they’re not identical. The Catholics and Lutherans number the commands one way, the Protestants another, and the Jews yet another way. We all have the same ten.

He stated that while reading the Gospels, he finally met Jesus and was born again. He felt like his youth had been wasted with unbelief. A friend of mine, who I met after becoming a follower of Christ, asked me how I knew so much about the Bible. She was Catholic and had never even had a Bible. I'm not arguing for or against. I'm a Catholic who reads scripture and I choose to pray only to God in the name of Jesus. As an FYI in case you didn't know, the additional books the Catholics have are not part of the new testament. The books in the apocrypha were written before the time of Christ, and not Christian teachings. They're also not part of the Jewish Tanakh. So they are not in the "Jewish Bible". One reason they are not considered the inspired word of God is because there is nothing written in them that is quoted or supported in the New Testament. Something else to keep in mind the, The deuterocanonical books contain no prophecy. Between the prophet Malachi and John the Baptist is a span of about 420 years of no new prophesy. The protestants refer to this time as the Intertestamental period. The Catholics refer to it as the deuterocanonical period, when the additional books were written. going by memory so don't quote me on this part, I believe the deuterocanonical books were added to cannon second or third century, which I believe is something to take into consideration. The protestants claim Catholics added them as a response to Luther, around 500 years ago. That can't be true because the books are part of the Orthodox church which split from the Catholic church about 500 years before that, and they have the deuterocanonical books in their bible, so they were definitely added prior to the reform period. In my mind, any doctrine in the church should be scrutinized if it came after the teachings of Christ and the testimony and teachings of his Apostles.

      Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
You see? Paul commended them for putting his teachings to the test with scripture. That's probably why my Parish Priest does not have a problem with me studying scripture and not being in agreement with every Catholic practice outside of mass. It really gained momentum after Chuck Colson wrote his book, "Born Again" in 1975, from prison. In 1976, Jimmy Carter was the first U.S. presidential candidate to describe himself as such. In 1980, all three major candidates did so.
