Mudlarking in Oklahoma offers an intriguing journey through history as enthusiasts scour the muddy banks of rivers, creeks, and old homestead sites in search of coins, relics, and glass bottles. These muddy treasures unveil stories of Native American settlements, pioneer homesteads, and early 20th-century communities. Oklahoma's rich history of Native American tribes, including the Cherokee, Choctaw, and Osage, adds layers of cultural significance to the artifacts found in the mud. Coins from various periods provide insights into the economic activities and trade routes of bygone eras, while relics such as buttons, buckles, and tools offer glimpses into daily life. Glass bottles, with their varied shapes and embossed markings, reveal clues about early businesses, medicine, and beverage consumption. Each find tells a tale, connecting mudlarkers to the diverse tapestry of Oklahoma's past

What an awesome spot to explore! So many great treasures! Gorgeous marbles. There were a lot of bottles you passed over that I would have dug out. Sorry your boots filled up with water. You sounded congested too, hope you feel better my friend.

The two crossed powder horns or bugles look like a cap attachment decorative used during civil war. There should be 2 to 4 little prongs that attach it to the cap.

Hello Philip, I hope your week has been going well! I couldn’t believe you went in the freezing river, I hope you don’t get sick from it. Plenty of marbles this day and beautiful colors 😊 A lot of broken bottles everywhere so please be careful out there. Nice hunt for your marble collection. I hope you find joy in whatever you do! Again keep safe. Thanks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

I got a dump at a river near me. The exact location I'm still trying to locate. But the locals say it huge and loaded with bottles. Maybe need to have one them to take me to the spot. Walking the river for miles is no fun lol

Just found your channel. Question. Do you ever use your pick ax and dig with it? Man there were so many things that you glossed over. I would give anything to have such a spot to lark in. Did you hear me yelling, "go back; oh man dont throw that down."? Frustrating to see, but, Keep havin fun man.

And i am not talking about the broken skeleton key. You picked up a perfect 200 year old German clock key.
