    @TheBlackKnightmare thanks for the deck, I like it

      Absolutely. You piloted it pretty well. I'll note that the bat is a stop gap to hold back aggro and combo decks. It forces response, heals you to stem the bleeding to aggro and unlike duress or oil it hits anything you need it to hit and stalls it out

      one question for you what do you think of replacing the tamiyo with another jayce and perhaps a titan with a cover up. also as for the lands since the deck is almost entirely golgari with only the splash blue mill cards and my sweepers to make use of the white/red mana should i craft and put in the fetch lands in lieu of something like a bat, one sparra, and the demo field which is only in this deck as a one of to combat creature lands in those control grindy matchups and to fetch specific colors i dont have for domain

    I keep thinking about a domain Arcane Bombardment deck... (yes this is a hint :D)

    2 Kellan, Inquisitive Prodigy + a land could work as replacement for the 3 bats.

      as i mentioned to bacon ive considered a lot of possibilities and in fact v1.0 of this deck didnt have ANY bats just 2 extra lands and an extra topiary to ensure i had one on 3 reliably. however the issue i run/ran into remained on the draw vs aggro dying turn 4 to the nuts. the bat lets you remove potentially 3-10 damage from them by both taking away a burn spell in mono red or a creature that will deal anywhere from 2-6 damage before you can sweep it/remove it but also gives you a consisten 1-3 turns of +1 hp as you will only block with it when you are going to sweep anyway then next turn or if you are forced to so you get a next turn. if im being honest though if i was to add in anything at 4 mana to replace the bats it would either be to go all in with one more invasion 1 more herd and 1 more topiary to smooth out and make that ramp consistent. or it would be something like sheoldred which is just super good against mono red.
      this deck wins by stalling out the game to mill and/or steal the enemies deck. to that end i am almost considering cutting one of the titans and for sure cutting tamiyo out for a third coverup and something like another herd migration. most often the titan comes down via breach or in certain grindy matches via virtue/hard cast and of the hundreds of games it also almost always is used to make a 4/4 blocker and gain 5 life. occasionally to blow up a combo piece like mind splice or bombardment and unless im against a deck that exiles with 2 mana i never use the shield

    Always curious... how many games do you play to find games that you do these videos with? Also... what's the average win percentage of these decks you run? 50% or more?

    • @MBacons
      @MBacons  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Good question-- the rate is usually 50% or greater. If something isn't working it gets shelved or totally reworked. So for every 5 game video it might take 5-10 games to get something worth watching. I'm not super competitive but I also have other things to do so we gotta keep the wins at a decent rate :)

      Oh thanks for that. I mean, When you see a lot of videos like this you see all the wins and how the deck works somewhat perfectly... but when things go clunk... you don't see those disaster games. And you don't get a feel of how the deck runs over 20 or 30 games because all you get is the highlights.

      @TheBlackKnightmare Před 2 měsíci

      The disaster games are usually vs mono red/boros aggro on the draw with them having perfect curve

      @@TheBlackKnightmare Very true! Same thing here with my decks as well. I see that deck (also mono black) and I'm going, "yep... this is a scheduled loss."
