Hell, I was in the streets for nearly 2yrs. Finally got my shit together after seeking help at a shelter.
I met some really kind, good hearted people and I met a few not so nice...kinda like real life.
Shit happens.
One moment you're trying to stay up to date on bills, next moment you injure yourself, you fall behind for some reason or another and it adds up quickly especially if you don't really have anyone who will help you out in life.
There are SO many different kinds of people who are "houseless" but not heartless....
I mean to be fair, he did have a 10$ bill. So he did have money for food. But still he deserves much better, he’s seen many hungry days the poor fella.

Don't assume that he needs help. Some people have 'more' than others without owning anything. There's lots of ways to define succes or richeness. A beautifull mind is one of them. A lot of people with homes and jobs could need help to get where he is.

@@YannickLB I cant speak for others but in my situation i would of loved help. Mostly i was save but i had also hard nights in the winter with no shelter from wind and freezing temperatur. I think my problem is consistency in life wich other have, holding a job, concentrating on themselfes, being in good relationships and in general having a decent social life. Somehow i could never get hold of that even when i helped others who where desperate in need. I feel like im just rambling bunch of stupid stuff but my point is just that not everybody choose this life and maybe sometimes if you really see someone needs help, atleast dont bother them when they sleep under the bridge or in an isolated area.

I was homeless for 4 years and many of my friends still are. This man sees things exactly the way most homeless people do. That kind of attitude won't get you success in the world's eyes but anyone who sees how beautiful this man is sees more clearly than the world at large. God bless you all.

Yup! Homeless for a year and I can tell you that you don't lose your integrity. You don't stop being human and wanting to help others. You may be in a bad situation and have to do things to survive but you can still be a good person. That was a gentleman before being homeless and he kept it.

Funny you should say that. I've lived and visited quite a few countries over my lifetime, and one thing I've noticed is that the crappier the country is, the nicer the people are. Perhaps niceness really is inversely proportional to wealth.

Homeless people often help each other, I know when my wife and I were homeless and we had any amount of money we would happily share it with others in need because we knew what it was like and likewise when we were very hungry a homeless person saw that and gave us some money which we were very garetful for as it meant we could get a meal. When you suffer, you tend to not want other people to suffer, you tend to help each other out so everyone suffers less. Also suffering creates despair, and you tend to help each other out to create happiness and try and ease despair.

@@myitbos1335 honestly, the perspective here is like if a struggling American with only $10k in their savings suddenly gave up $2k to help some random person they didn't even know, simply because the other person claimed to be in a bad situation. There's no validation here, only trust and the heart's desire to do good. Very few individuals out there who would give up such quantities of money under these conditions, but this man essentially did just that. That's why I am so blown away.

i bet you're only saying that because you're seeing videos of people being nice, which is pretty much an optional thing, but in the world, there's still a lot more bad people in this world than good. Just last week 2 of my friends died in a car crash, because some kids were shining lasers at the windows of the car as it drove past the house they live in. There's only a few good people in this world.
