Such a project is long overdue as the site has become a legendary eyesore, with the stench from it now deemed totally unbearable to all local inhabitants and those non resident but have the misfortune of travelling thru the area for one reason or the other. The area, Accra, and the whole of Ghana, deserve something better and the opportunies are there to be exploited.
In my view the project can only succeed where there is total commitment to the ideals by the public, private, community partnership. Without such dedication, it is likely to go the way of all the earlier initiatives -doomed to failure.

They must be relocated to where they came from as there is no more free land in Accra. Nkrumah relocated them to New Fadama and they came back, authorities watched on. Relocate everyone back to their region

Over the years, Ga's has not being fair to themselves and their families over decades. This is an opportune time for you to reinvest the proceeds even into this project and eat from it for years to come. Not to take the monies and spend them as you have done over the years and now relying on kusoms.

I hope Ghanaians ignore politicians who only bring tribalism and divide people but to think of their well-being first. Thanks for this upcoming project.

Don't just give away the land by selling it. Retain an ownership stake and be paid royalties in the for of Ga-land tax, this will help sustain you and stop selling everything. Retain ownership in everything without making it impossible for the investors. Taxes are how the west makes it. This way, everyone makes money at the end.

Doris you don't address persons as 'these Ga people' even it is wrong to say people, it's better to say persons, besides how many Ga persons are living there, check the records majority are living there are from the North. Anyways Ga Mashie will speak soon as nobody has sold them any land. Also blame the municipal assembly who allowed all these structures. It's hard for traditional authorities to control activities capital cities.
