Todd, do you think it is safe to say from a digital optic standpoint that the image is "multiplied" based on the magnification? Meaning, if an image is 100 yards out, that a 2x would display the image ~50 yards. And the same image 100-yard image at 4x would appear (display) ~25 yards? Mostly just curious from your expert knowledge and use. I have a Thermion XP50 2-16x, which I rarely ever increase the base from 2x and always use the PIP, mostly because (at night) I'm inside of 100 yards. However, with a standard daytime scope, I usually find myself more around a 4-5x. So, with the 4k (daytime) do you think the same would likely apply? What’s the best budget option for someone just wanting to hunt ? Not looking for range finders and video stuff. What kind of support do they have if it stops working?
Never had any luck with Pulsars, two XP 50 Trails wouldn't hold zero and I know of several Thermions having the same trouble. Are the Infiray's any better? I don't hear any bad reports.
At this point Ive seen all brands and units fail. Iray is communist Chinese junk, they have a high failure rate. I still have 5 xp50 trails they have never failed, or lost zero. There were some trails that had zeroing issues in extreme temperature fluctuation. I have multiple thermions they have never lost zero, and I've sold hundreds more with no issues. My shop is two blocks from the US importer for Pulsar I was able to personally watch them test the trails for zero issues. there were very few that actually had issues.

Is this a night vision and or a thermal
It is a thermal, with a 4k color digital day scope built in. The thermal can be used night and day. The 4k color camera is for daytime only.
Does it come with a ballistic calculator?
No those would be the LRF models, with range finders.
