True, but I'm guessing it's more likely they would go to her dentist and look at proper x-rays of her teeth to make a comparison. I doubt that one sentence description of "even and in good repair" would be enough to make a positive identification, which makes it fairly pointless to put on a missing person flyer.

I just thought of something else: How did Joseph kidnap Maya in the first place? I’m guessing you’d want to cover your victim’s mouth so they don’t alert everyone around them. But she had time to scream and call for Nancy. He did lose the element of surprise when it was Maya not Brady, but you’d think he would have had chloroform or a bag to put over the head, etc. Are you telling me this older man’s plan was just to grab a full grown person and start dragging them? And that he did it in 5 seconds?

I think the description energetic is accurate about Joseph seeing how quickly he moves around with Maya and in between the rooms. Also, this is a rare case where Nancy puts a lot of the clues or important info in the hands of suspects like Nicholas and Joseph. Joseph fixing the machine makes sense to me. He isn't logical so of course it's a crazy move.
This was my very first Nancy Drew game! It got me hooked on the whole series. I was absolutely shocked when I discovered who the culprit was.These videos are great!
There's another one with Amazing Monty. After winning the first time, you can walk to the opposite wall of the room, turn and walk back, and play the game again without it breaking. If you win again, it congratulates you for winning absolutely nothing.
just figured this out- if they were demolishing the building, they would have had the power, gas, etc turned off way ahead of time so that when they demolished the building there wouldnt be any explosions

Although it’s quite old now, this is still one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. I love the setting, the subject matter, and how Nancy’s demeanor changes. She is more insistent and somewhat irritated at the other people in the game secondary to her emotional involvement.
To be fair, Brady was wandering around LA before entering the dressing room. Maybe these are his street clothes so he doesn't get ambushed left and right every day and as for his choice the second two days I dunno casual Friday?
I kind of felt bad for Joseph, he was willing to let himself and 2 other people die in the demolition. I feel like he was having a psychotic break. And maybe needed mental help. Just my thought, so I felt more sympathy for him as a culprit.
Yes, because Joseph had worked there for 40 years and had no other living family to stay with after the building was to be demolished. He definitely had some illogical thoughts, such as fixing the key machine and plans to polish the lobby right before the wrecking ball.
Maya and I have the same birthday, different years. As I have never finished this game (barely started it actually), I did not know this until just now.
Ideas I had; maybe Joseph knew of a secret passageway that got him from the women's dressing room to the projection room. Maybe he had hid Maya somewhere else first then hid her in the magician's room. Maybe Nancy told Joseph where the magician's room was before she left (we don't see it, but she did mention the door she found and could have phoned Joe when the police showed up to find the room or something) The ransom demand could have been made by Joseph to tip off the police or it could have been someone pulling a joke.
That's what I thought. The place was a hangout for magicians as well as Thompson had some hiding spots for his papers so chances are that there were passageways that Nancy didn't know about. And it makes sense that Joseph hid Maya somewhere else and then moved her to the magician's room as well as he probably drugged her seeing as he was intending to kidnap Brady.
There also could’ve been more passageways added during the “56 Remodel” - we never see the blueprints for that! Maybe Joseph knew of more ways to get around the theatre.
49. Nancy forgot the Elevator Death because it never happened to her. It only happened to only to players, who then took a Second Chance and undid it in order to proceed with the game.

It has been a long time since I have played this game as a kid but I remember that when you flash Joseph at the end and you go up to the switch and back up Joseph will reappear and you cannot get around him again as you already used up the flashing trick the first time making you lose the game

Chicken Suit Brady is the best Brady. Other possible wrongs: -The police don't have to wait 24 hours to start investigating. They can wait a certain period of time if they want and frequently did before cell phones, but it isn't necessary. It depends on the situation. In a situation where the missing person might be inside a building that's about to be demolished, a competent police force would most likely check it out right away just to make sure she's not in that building. (And yes, I realize it is certainly possible that the police in this game aren't competent). -Joseph tells Nancy not to touch the projector but says nothing when she touches other stuff and even takes stuff out of the projector room -Why is the phone number to the theater listed with the phone numbers in the theater? You are not going to need to call the theater office if you are already inside it. -Ned magically knows that Houdini owned 1/2 the theater even if you never tell him -You can pick the drawer lock with a bobby pin but not the projector lock -You have to click back to the beginning of every book before you can put it down -The silly movie titles on the posters such as Yak Be Nimble, Yo!, and The Moose Next Door (and the fact that, according to the newspaper, Yak Be Nimble is a huge hit at the box office) -Along with #51 - he also just stands there reading right after he says he has to get ready for the press conference

That magician at the end is thoroughly disturbing. And I hate how Nancy says it "needs some first aid"; that is misleading because usually when Nancy says something "needs" something, it means you're supposed to fix it. But the exaggerated, gross breaking of the machine actually turns out to be completely pointless. Also, can we talk about how the the disguised voice is clearly Joseph? Although I'm embarrassed that at the time I didn't notice and was actually surprised that he was the culprit so...
