- Another "quick" mod for the Rebel before our trip to Tassie.
This one has been on the cards for quite some time. We purchased it on Ebay ages ago but couldn't install it as the bolts on the dash were stripped. After we finally got them sorted... we thought it would be an easy mod. BUT! Nothing is every easy when it comes to the Rebel.
There are many USB charging ports on Ebay... so if you are looking to install one for yourself, make sure you find one that fits your year model!

Dremel it is a thing :) Love mine. You will find it a very handy tool to have. Great work on modding your mod. I dont think i have ever done a mod and have it go perfect. Always something goes wrong. Great work on getting it done and making it look stock. Not long now and your off on your adventure. Stay safe guys :)
I don't mind when things go wrong because I love the challenge of figuring it out. So I'm glad that this mod meant I got to use a dremel! Super fun! 1 week until we head off to Tas 🥳

On the 2023 version you have to insert a relay under the tank as well as connect the socket. The relay comes with the usb socket. The socket is really close to the clock shroud though which makes a difference if you have an accessory bar fitted above your clocks.😁 It needs a bit of brut force and ignorance

@@TheVSChick It's fairly straight forwards. Tank off, fit relay into holder, tank on and then the socket works. Probably saves Honda a quid🤣, but adds another hour onto your little job.
Ah snap, is that very complicated? I have the 23 version and no clue whatsoever. :D
@rotekaiserin the little relay comes on the box. You only need to listen the tank, rather than take it off, and place the relay in it's holder which is at the rhs. Pop the tank back on and then follow @TheVSchicks instructions
