Hi check next time Attack on Titan Bauklotze
Thatâs a real good soul made masterpiece đž
It's amazing live, enjoy friend!
you should check on shangri la frontier opening 1, this song is produced by a band with people from TK,Sim and others
I really love if you react to the op Hollow Hunger, is from the anime Overlord is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaallyyyyyy nice :3
Hi đ, I'm from Indonesia. May I ask you to listen to the opening and ending songs from the anime Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken. and maybe you can give an opinion about the song. Thank you đ

@@DrumRollTonyReacts burst out laughing when you said "bet it'd feel good though" FUCKING YES
Imagine someone walks in the room and sees Tony 14:00 and thinks, "aw look at him, enjoying some happy music"
Audio: RUMBLING! đ„đđ€ COMING FOR YOUUUU!!! đĄâ ïžđđ„đ¶
It's coming...
finally
quite literally
Rahhh
Hey, I remember during a stream there was this discussion of how some people might take the reggae section differently, I think it was about not feeling genuine, because of the culture... Idk, but you used a word to describe that... I don't think it was "appropriation"... Does any word come to mind? Yeah I know I'm talking about like a year ago, so, lmao
something in my peanits....
BEWARE!!!!! literally a titan roar
Lol exactly
Real
I like how you now have a new vision, how knowing the story makes you realize how more amazing the song is, cause in anime industry most of the times the songs match the stories, the parts they're used for. That makes them even more gorgeous. Listening to the song without reading the lyrics and knowing the story behind it takes some of its awesomeness away from it, cause you won't know why they specifically created the song that way. A great example is "Unravel" perfomed by TK from ling tosite sigure. It's Tokyo Ghoul's first opening song. The song itself is a masterpiece, but knowing the story behind it, even a little bit of it, will have much more effect on how more carefully one views it
Context always provides bias.
@@DrumRollTonyReacts but it can be the other way round as well, right? Like making you pay more attention to every effort they've put in making that song, instead of just listening to it as something general. You'll notice even the small parts they've adjusted, cause you are genuinely listening to every bit of the song. But you're right, it can also make you biased. If you haven't watched Tokyo Ghoul, I recommend the first opening. Regardless of the story, the song itself is very well-liked. Even I haven't watched it and only have a general idea of what's it about. I'll send the link to its music video to you. It's more than 10 years old but still captures anime and non-anime fans' hearts.
@Ladan1194 That's possible for the average listener. Layered listening on a nuanced level is part of my normal listening already. Context of a show doesn't give more details to the song, one should be able to hear them already. They are there in the song already. If the listener misses them, they weren't listening with a mindful ear. Context of a show generally builds mental contexts that we connect stories to. Context provides meaning and multiple interpretation of what the music MIGHT represent. Trust me... the artist in the studio does not have the same connection to the story or characters as fans who experienced the show over years. That experience is an emotional context that gives you bias.
@@DrumRollTonyReacts I see now. Thank you for explaining so well and easy to understand as always. Before I also wanted to metion that I'm not a professional, so I might lack the insight to it. Thanks for giving me the insight

Listen to the original version first Tony!
I'm glad to see some more recognition for Sim. On Sim's channel they have videos for each instrument for The Rumbling. A guitar, drum, and bass playthrough.
i love how he literally changed how he talks about attack on titan after he finished it lol.
I saw them live in Utah when they opened up for dance gavin dance and they did Rumbling and omg the whole place exploded with energy and excitement, it was amazing seeing them live! They did some old and some new songs, they sound amazing live, 10/10 would go see them again â„
You should do a reaction to one of SIMâs older songs. Their first album, Silence iz Mine (2008), has a lot of unique influences with reggae, punk, metal, and hard rock. Definitely worth checking out!
Finally someone else who loves Silence Is Mine. Favorite song? I'd say TxHxC for me
@@luhvhue4591 I really enjoy all the songs on the album but my favorite has gotta be Here I Am. TxHxC and Paint Sky Blue are definitely my other favs on the album.
Also really like Self Hypnotized too
Really like your reaction to this, and we can see that it is so much more meaningful after youâve watched the whole thing. AOT is a rare masterpiece.
This theme is by far the best in the entire series, and the adventure it takes to reach it is well worth it!
That said, I wonder how much love the Vinland Saga openings would all get. I know 1 or 2 were already covered in the past, but 3 and 4 are both fantastic and addicting to listen to.
He respectfully disliked 3. He uploaded an anime opening reaction video but it got taken down as it had Bleach op (iirc).
i havent check out season 2, but the 1st opening is one of my all time favorites. simply for the ending with the metal screams. Done in such an aggressive way that really pairs well with thorfins character. Really drives that feeling of him crying out almost to the world itself, and further characterizes him in the first part of the series and what separates him from just being another edgy angst protag. Sry for essay but damn so much love for that one.
My war is my personal favorite
Yessss! It's so good I wanna headbang to it all the time. Also, seeing you nerding out about the show was so cool, I know exactly what it feels like, the music just hits so much harder with context. God! So good!!
One track I 100% recommend is "An Ordinary Day" (from Eren arriving in Marley). It's just so haunting.
This
You should totally watch the drum play through of this! Itâs on SIMâs Official CZcams, and they also have official Guitar and bass play throughs!
Oh nice, I'm gonna need to see that
Thank god...I've been waiting for this...†Thanks Drumrolltony
I would love if you did more SiM reactions. Started listening to them right before Rumbling came out and theyve become my favourite band ever since!
I love DrumRollTony
I'm shocked this is the 1st time you've done The Rumbling full.. I always try to not miss a vid, at least the anime ones
Me too! For some reason I thought he'd already done it đ
Such an amazing video!
I play this song about an hour after I eat Chipotle
They played this when they opened for Dance Gavin Dance's Jackpot Juicer Tour. At least their Denver show. I'm going to see them again on the 29th, so stoked.!
Guess finally enough time passed to be able to review this without issues, tho the concert version might be a factor. Glad everyone has a good time with this one.
Hope you can one day review Tonelico aka Morgan Battle from Fate Grand Order. There is also a live concert version.
Enjoy the show! That's wild, wish I was anywhere close! đž
6:56 he sounds like he did the dragon ball cutscene thing
Great breakdown as per usual, especially after getting to see them live at Neptune theatre. They were honestly great performers and the crowd chanting USA was weird though. Was a great birthday surprise not even my girlfriend could arrange but after tiring from the pit I saw Tony relaxing at the venue as well! Was super humble and great to meet, great night overall :)
Idk if you get comments complaining about you going back and dissecting the pieces, but i think that's the whole point of why i enjoy these. I can listen to the song a dozen times after if i really want, but after playing band in school and loving it, it's also really cool to hear someone with your level of knowledge and experience explain why it is that people like me enjoy and connect with music of all types.
They preformed The Rumbling in Orlando when they were touring in the U.S. for the first time with Dance Gavin Dance last year
Well, they lied on their show poster then.
Hell yeah! Maybe I'll see you there Tony đ€
I was sure the guy said "make way" in the beginning for some reason. That's how hard gultural is for me.
I always thought it was âbreak freeâ
@@Killah_22 I think it intentionally sounds like that
Highly recommend checking out the orchestral version of this song. It is a different experience and personally my favorite version as well
"the first time theyve played rumbling live outside of japan"
Thats definitely not true, they played it at download festival 2023 in the uk
I highly recommend to do the reaction to "To You 2000âŠorâŠ20000 Years From NowâŠ"
It was the best way to end the story of AOT
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL SONG BY LINKED HORIZON
Just saw them in Atlanta yesterday, FUCKING AWESOME!
I always assumed the wind instrument you pointed out was just the guitar
One of the best anime intros ever.
Good content, keep going , nice react
it's here
If your hear SiM other than anime songs you will think that reggaton part was pretty shy.
SiM has a lot of songs where reggaton parts are a common thing. They mix a lot metal with reggae
Wait, I just realized that scream at "You"lyrics was that low holyshit 14:00
The bass â€â€â€
So good!
I could had sworn Iâve already watched you react to the full version months ago but I guess I was mistaken
On the note of full AOT OP reactions, you should totally react to the full version of OP6 of AOT, My War (or Boku no Sensou) by Shinsei Kammattechan since youâve done 1,2,3 and 7 and in my humble opinion, the full version of it is WAY better than the short version.
The singer says, BEWARE!! But all i hear is BE FREE ! đ . I try so hard to hear beware but i cant
I always hear "break through"
Came down from Canada for the show tonight!
Awesome đ

One the biggest W on a video.
oh, and nice ltd deluxe guitar, i've spotted it)đžđ„
SiM is know for mixing reggae and metal just in case, kinda like Skindred but less rap-ish. Great stuff nevertheless, you won't be disappointed at all, they know how to put up a show. Great reaction as always Tony!! As always you make me notice stuff I hadn't catch even even 1000+ listens lol, I had completely missed that Oboe haha!
iâd love to see a bass cover of this song by you!!!
Would you ever react to the individual instrument covers the band posted on CZcams?
Rumbling, rumbling
the answer is simply and i just need to coute Hange "there isnt anything that could justify a genoside, anything"
yeah literally
yeah and the jaegerists and chad eren fans can't comprehend that lol trying to reason out "it's kill or be killed"
But why is your definition of genocide so one sided?
@@half_plastic2367 wdym
@@curse5697 you don't like Eren killing the rest of the world, but you're ok with the rest of the world killing Paradisian Eldians?
When are we getting the ultra instict theme reaction? đ„đ
There are two perspectives from eren... When he is in calm voice it represents its inner pure thought... And the screams are what he is now have to do... His second perspective
Great to see your reaction! Is there a place where you get into your reaction to AoT as a whole?
AOT is the only anime I watched before I started reactions unfortunately
@@DrumRollTonyReacts That's what I understand from your post - I also gather that you enjoyed it, which is awesome. I was just wondering if you'd recorded anything about your thoughts on the show/story after finishing it. It's been great catching your reactions to the music. I'm glad you gave it the chance you did and have come away from it appreciating it the way I'd hoped you would.
@@nogovannut9386 I never made a thoughts on it video. That one is SO deep in lore that... I don't think I am qualified to speak on it. I did enjoy the production as a whole.
OMG FINALLY
Waiting for the multi anime opening reactions again:)
Hey Tony, big fan here nice content.
Just wondering why you react to the lyrics video version, wouldn't it be better if you do it with the official video or linked that to the video description? I can't really imagine it being copyright issue since you are playing the song loud and clear in the video.
