Im a 45 year old retired raver. How good is this set. I’ve got the 3 kids, 2 dogs, big washing machine... but today I was back.
I had this blaring it the kitchen as I cooked the Sunday lunch.
Some weird look from the kids as I knecked a bottle of wine and was screaming here we go.....
First seen Carl Cox at fantazia years ago and have seen him all the way through then90’s in Ibiza .
Love the big man so many good memories.
Long may he continue to bang out sets like this.

Soo good to see age of love still getting played after all these years
Enes Kılıç awesome tankyou
Nice. Thank you
Ooooo dam mercy
Ty for this
The great thing about Carl is that he is for everyone. He doesn't have a whole lot of divisive opinions, he doesn't have petty feuds with other DJs or complain that the 'young guys are taking over'. He just plays great sets and lets the music do the talking.
Yes always the consummate professional.
This reminds me of the time I saw Carl Cox spin at a club in Pittsburgh. At around 10pm he gets on the stage and after 2am and the bar had shut down this dude is still spinning records. At 4am he's still going and I'm wondering how I'm gonna get any sleep before work that morning. I FINALLY left the club around 7am and I had to go STRAIGHT into work all covered in sweat wearing a shiny club shirt looking like I just stumbled in from a rave, because I had. When I left the club Carl had 3 turntables going at once and was waving another record in the air so the 10 to 20 people left in the room could keep on going. I never saw anything like that at this club before or since.
When was that?
there's never an end to a night with Carl
He's a cousin maternal isn't that cool? and the French Castle is the best idea and check out the drone footage of the castle, it was created in the shape of a cross. It's so fascinating to have the drive and Carl is older than me but he's still going and his energy levels are great! I'm glad you got to meet him. I may have if he was in the midwest in the early 90s but did meet Paul Oakenfold and Tiesto. It's a job, they are people with each leading their own journey but music and DJ mixes live on and on and on!
cool anecdote thank you sir
Fantastic memories!
Hey, I'm back five years later to say this is still amazing
DJ Carl Cox Earned his Pay, He worked every Knob on that Mixer and Deck. Amazing, Like a Mad Scientist😂😂😂
My children will see this session, thank you Carl❤

This is why I love Europe. Honestly, can't do this anywhere else.
When I moved back to America, from The Netherlands, most of what I'm hearing people play is rock-and-roll or gangster rap. The reason why I loved The Netherlands so much was because they knew how to appreciate music like this. They knew why this music was so powerful.
i kind of tired of this gangsta things..
Melbourne, Australia
- no castles but
Manners81 but what...?! Dont leave me hanging like this for 4 weeks, barely caught any sleep! How could you do this to me?
Yeah the venues in America just don’t compare. My best option is ultra in Miami which id love to go see but the acts are just dog shit. Sure a few good ones are dropped in here and there but there are very few actual full sets that someone put thought and effort to
Amazing music and talent aside...
In case anybody wonders why France is such an attractive country, here's a clue. This castle was built from 1619 on, and for about a century (all things considered).
Merging 2020's music with XVII-XVIIIth century architecture... rare, rather unique. That's what is so special about this country.
Who still listens to this song in 2023, may God bless all of you and your family members!!ALL GLORY TO GOD!💜🕊💜
This guy. Every minute he plays he builds on the previous energy. Super talented
The mark of a good dj. Tell me a story.
He triuly is phenomenal

This is one of those parties where James Bond is following the bad guy through the crowd getting distracted by the music and ends up fighting the dude inside the massive castle building..
Justin Bielak lmao 😂 meanwhile everyones partying it up outside
wow you just described john wick pt 2
edit : w/o the same genre ofc
and then he finds a good looking women outside, who happens to work for the bad guy

Carl Cox - A living legend. Namaste.
Carl Cox is a God . Has never stopped bringing the party and joy .
He is a master of the Arts and such a nice man, cool, putting a French flag cap, dancing... what an energy he has. Incredible place. Incredible mix. Incredible DJ. Cercle masters again in again in bringing the best artists in the best places. People ask for more. Keep going Cercle. Congrats, with much respect.
they had just won the world cup so the flag was absolutely necessary lol

Life is better with techno!
Mr. Carl Cox at Chambord is PERFECT!
haha. life is impossible without techno :)
read his t shirt, he is also a lover of house and his sets are always a mixture both. thats why everyone likes him
I'm 61 and still like my 80s music but Carl's stuff is #1 it
has taken me over I listen to it most everyday.
2024 Club - for me it's still on repeat all the time
1:19:19 listen to his subtle overlay to the fact that “you’re losing your mind”. I’m 61 and spun vinyl from age 17 - 55 for good money and this gentle man was a hero and clearly will remain so for many years to come....
Start listening at 1:40 and tell me if it rings a bell. See if you recognize it.
House music will never get old. Every time I listen to good house I feel young. Pushing 45 and still a house junkie ❤️✌️☺️
It's two thirty in the morning, working on my thesis, this is the 4th Cercle set in a row. Only thing that's keeping me awake
completely resonate with you brudda
bigggggggg so big DJ 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
I m 55 yo and for music party i would be never retired..Music its the food of the soul.
This Cercle thing is SICK! I’m glad to see these old school DJs and ravers still fired up! I’m 44 going on 24 forever !

Incredible. The set was obviously amazing but the transformation of the castle after the sun set was magical!
Life goal = attend a Cercle event!!
Straight up though, they literally throw the sickest events. I wish we had companies like Cercle here in the US.
US is not very party-friendly... party at the white house? Lincoln steps? Airport? Congressional library? Ha...
Yeah I see what you mean but it doesn't have to be in front of a landmark for a company like them to throw a sick event. I do agree with you though, that the locations do make the events particularly unique and amazing. I just appreciate the music they bring, and the atmosphere of the events they throw
It's palace not castle
It s a matter of time , life always find a way ;) new world order is about love freedom and peace and this is one big sign, we re all kings and world is our castle ! Fight oppression now
Music doesnt lie
its like ive never watched it every time i watch it
Strongly agree
In my top 5 of recorded or live DJ mixes I've ever heard, and at 54, I've listened to a lot. My wild guess is that the energy here was positively insane.
Name the others in your mix, please!
Saw him at Mother Raves in JHB and CT South Africa in the early 2000's. Dude is incredible. Will always be the godfather to me.
His crowd control was massive. His choice of music has changed, but he is till the same dude. Magnificent.
Les âmes de François 1er et Claude de France devaient danser dans ce lieu magnifique . 5 siècles d'histoire qui auront vu passer Carl Cox...superbe !
It's amazing that we're able to sit here in 2019 and listen to such an amazing set by Carl on CZcams. Smart TV, amp and decent speakers in Full HD. Kids don't know they're born nowadays. Access to such tunes in such quality is so easy now. It's filmed in a castle by drones. Fucking brilliant.
Yeah beats sitting beside your boombox on a Sunday evening waiting to record your fav tunes off the top 40 lol don’t know they are living!
2023 and i'm enjoying this right now!!
He is my
Brother, I had party
With him at
Dorian Gray Frankfurt Airport 1994.
I never forget the nicest Sunday mornings in my life.
Thx so much Carl !
Saw Carl Cox first time in 1999 in NYC warming up for Underworld at Hammerstein ballroom, then in 2000 at Twilo for Ultimate BASE, in a small Dj booth before they move it up. He was all energy and grooving to each track. Both times the sets were impeccable. He is truly a great DJ. Non stop 2000 is my fave compilation. Thank you for the music.
The castle finally reached its maximum potential with Carl Cox and the Thousand ravers.
I love how much this guy is in the music and enjoying himself as much as the crowd
Carol Cox a keeper all time classic. Adapt or die. You are a Warrior in the music world. Thank you. I love you💓✊☝️

When I watched it, the set qas full of ads.
But I learned a new trick recently.
Forward to the last seconds of the video, let it run out. Then click the "watch again" or "repeat" button...and all ads are gone. Works always;)

Love u Carl Cox!
Carl Cox truly is one of the best remaining vestiges of the early house and techno scene that still practices/performs his artwork, keeping it OG and nuanced, what a legend, totally proving it with this legendary set!

One of the best videos I've ever seen.
And Carl Cox was born to this, he's music itself, it flows out from his body.
Totally agree. There are a few people like that - the music just flows from them. The rest of us are left to observe and enjoy.
Carl Cox is delivering uncompromised techno for decades. A true hero.
J ai vibré chez moi via mon tel en écoutant ce set , j avais oublié à quel point Carl Cox était une pointure de la Techno , perfectionniste dans le rythme autant tribal ,minimal ,trance ou industriel et puriste. Un Génie ! 💫👌✨️

Hey DJs, stop turning fake dials and enjoy the music as much as Carl does.
The man doesn't lie and has as much fun as his crowd.
Carl always looks like he's having a good time when he's mixing up a set.
This place is so beautiful it doesn't same real. Same with the music. I've always liked Carl Cox, now I love him!
Perfect backdrop, perfect crowd equals perfect set❤🎉 🥰 love it
WOW I love techno so much and hearing of this song and this DJ for the first time makes me love Techno even more!!!!!!!!!! Shout out from NZ 🇳🇿
Literally no doubt, the best D.J EVER.
This set is culture. He quoted Kraftwerk, Jam & Spoon, and a few shots of pure acid house and a homage to old school house. Also, he used a track that I found an loved only 2 years later.
This is old school!
Still Listen to this set all the time. My favorite Electronic live set. King Carl @ Chateau de Chambord!

My very very first Techno album was The Sound of Ultimate BASE mixed by Carl Cox. Everything I base techno on is because of this dude. I grew old and whatever, but every decade Carl Cox is still pushing it. Lifetime award for being fucking awesome.
Yup 🤯
