So, why say the names of famous residents of the graveyard, when their bodies are removed after one year? What is even the point, and where are those bodies now, if they are relevant to mention? Truly curious.
Great question. So because the entombment doesn't take place below ground (for geographic reasons). These above ground tombs get really hot in the summer and literally turn into ovens, usually deep decomposing of the bodies. The remains of the corpse that was most recently interred in the tomb are then placed in a bag and moved to the bottom of the tomb.
