11:22 this is still one of my favorite plays Cam has ever made. What an escape. One of the many memorable plays from this game.
Oh Steve Smith, they'll never be another like you 😂🔥
That Carolina Defense was something special! Luke, Thomas, Hardy etc
Josh Norman was awesome
@@evanradomski5149 For like one season
@@evanradomski5149 yea I was gonna say him but he fell off soooo bad that I couldn’t. But that dlineman short was amazing to.
I’d argue that the 2021 Panthers D is the best they’ve ever had. Imagine that D with 2015 Cam and 2019 CMC
@@FloatingWaterTank The Panthers 2015 D was great too. They just got up big teams often and would coast much of the second half
Brady cussing out the ref had me 🤣🤣
Bro just got angry every time things didn’t go his way.
Also known as the “Ice up son, ice up!” Game
Bro cam newton is one of the only qbs to never lose to Tom
Brian Griese, Jake Plummer, Cam Newton and Nick Foles are all undefeated against Tom Brady led teams
@@Terror832 yup
@@Terror832 it's such a rare list lol
Even more rare is the list of quarterbacks who have beaten Brady More than once in the super bowl.. that's right just Eli Manning's Giants..
@@dwaynecollins4974 well he’s the only one who’s had the opportunity twice lol
Both teams finished 12-4 that season as I recall and both were the #2 seed. It was the second consecutive year that the Patriots finished 12-4 where they were the #2 seed behind the Broncos both times. It was the 1st time that the Panthers made the playoffs since they went 12-4 in 2008 where they were also the #2. They lost in the divisional in both cases.
Pats lost in the AFC championship that season
funny to think these two teams would be in the next two superbowls respectively.
Young Cam, Smith, Luke, prime Davis, Olsen,Stewart, Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy, R Khalil, Jordan Gross… my goodness what a time to be a Carolina fan… those days are long gone.
Steve Smith's return to greatness was amazing in the Cam Newton Era of Carolina.
He only had 745 yards, I think you talking about last year. Where he had about 1100 yards.
@@jayden7023 It was sometime in the Cam Newton era. Edit made.
@@Phinal_Flash What do you think if they kept steve smith in the 2015 season.
@@jayden7023 He should have went back that season. He could have avoided getting hurt in Baltimore and won a Super Bowl with Carolina. They were lacking WRs that season.
@@Phinal_Flash Sucks he didn't get a ring and the Carolina defense, Dan Morgan, Beason,Davis,Peppers. Also the 2003 defense, and they had Kevin Greene and Sam Mills in 96. Especially Carolina had great running game through the years. Flacco and Smith could be a great duo if Smith was younger. Things be to unlucky, it is what it is.
I remember watching this game as a kid. This was a huge upset W for the Panthers. Cam was starting to become a superstar qb at this time (he won MVP 4 years later).
*2 years later
It was 2 years later
Sheesh you were a kid when you saw this 😳, I think I had just turned 18 lmao. 25 never felt so old.
And yeah he won MVP 2015.
*2 years later, in 2013.
Steve Smith, Ginn, Olsen, Stewart, Cam Newton, Greg Hardy, Luke, Tomas Davis what a team 😢
Fun fact: Tom has beaten Cam as many times as he’s lost to Philip Rivers or Andrew Luck
So 0?
He lost to rivers a couple times actually. 2005 and 2008 come into mind.
@@mariosnum1fan nope brees was the QB in 05 and in 08 Brady didn’t play because he tore his ACL. Brady is 7-0 all time against rivers
Brady would have beat him this year at New England.
@@BillyBob-ti2fz but they were still on the roster right? That’s why I’m saying he lost to rivers even if he wasn’t a starting qb; he was still on the team so that’s the only thing that should matter
This game was fun, while at the same time saw some controversy at the end
4:04 Bro Mike Tirico made the weakest attempt to say Star Lotulelei’s name 😭😭💀
🤣🤣
Whats kinda crazy is a few of the keys players and I not saying all, but a few of them are either not on teams or retired, but yet Brady is still out there playing at a decent level. Crazy to think that
i keep thinking brady is retired
@@Ynkno i think he has thought about retiring more in madden than he has in real life.
Decent? Brady is top 5 in the league rn imo
Gronk was definitely interfered with, but there was no stopping Cam.
Maybe he was, but that was after he ran Behind the defender. I’m with the refs on this one.
@@elikramer8282if your trying to say he had no chance for that ball because he passed his spot it was a hook route
Was definitely PI, but it's not like New England wasn't getting calls their way all the damn time lol
Yeah he was on a mission. I’m a pats fan but I always Loved cam. Was happy we gave him a chance. .
This was the best Panthers defense in history besides the 2003 unit with Rucker, peppers, Jenkins and defensive line coach now in the NFL brentson Buckner I wanna say ...
This was my favorite game I have ever watched
Secret Base Beef History:
Cam Newton vs the Patriots defense before he got with the pats and became Cam throw it in the dirt Newton
He had no receivers, really! Just 1 left after Julian
Bailed...
Ah yes this was Steve Smith’s last season with the Panthers…still don’t know why the Panthers got rid of him to this day when he had several decent years left
They really coulda used him that SuperBowl season.
@@jrad410 fax
Panthers are just dumb lol. We make so many questionable decisions
Blame Dave Gettleman’s dumb ass for that. Now he done ran the New York Giants into the ground. Glad he’s not destroying my Panthers anymore.
They did it because Cam and Smith both were extremely headstrong and they wanted to turn the reins of the team over to Cam. I don’t agree with the decision either and think if Smith is there in 2015 we win that Super Bowl, but maybe the third time will be the charm. Just hope it happens in my lifetime, as currently we got a team that’s hot garbage.
When does Nfl Throwback never disappoint I KNOW NEVER 🤣
This is the Panthers team I miss. Our defense is still as great as it was then but our QB situation is a big problem. I really think that Cam is still a starter in the league he just needs the time to learn and have some help. No matter what happens, Carolina is still my team💓🏈👍
I miss these days of the Panthers. I stopped following them when tepper took over💀. It hasn't been the same.
One of Brady's famous freakouts is in this game. Love to see it
Too be fair it was a bad call, but his freak out was funny lol
@@BillyBob-ti2fz why if it isn't Billy Bob
The refs picked up the flag because the ball was uncatchable even though gronk was interfered with he wasn't going to be able to catch the ball anyway
I do love to see Brady throw a hissy fit. One of the best is from the championship game against the broncos! He got sacked so many times in that game, I think it was like the third quarter he jumped up and started screaming at the referee wanting a flag and the ref looked at him and you could see his lips saying"playing football"LMFAO 🤣 I'm surprised the rest didn't throw a flag on him for unsportsmanlike conduct he was so pissed off!
More belicheckian...
18:15 that's some good acting on behalf of the Panthers.
Always loved watching Steve Smith
Throwback idea for Bears/Steelers on Monday night: 1995 Week 10 (37-34 at Soldier Field)
I remember watching this game as kid Steve Smith was so funny 😂😂😂
This was the game where Belicheck fell in love with Newton. This was Cam’s job interview for 2020 🤣
So many special moments happen during the game. #SUPERCAM
This is so crazy because HE’S BACK everyone HE IS BACK!!!!in Carolina
Ice up, son! ICE UP!
That Cam run on 3 & 7 was special omfg
That's One of My Favorite Games of 2013!
Still don’t know why they got rid of Smith for a 6’5 bum that can’t even play TE or WR
Cam was a different kind of breed in his prime wish my Patriots got this Cam when we singed him but nah still tho it's crazy he was a Patriot for one season
Dude, he sucked playing for us
Cam didn’t suck!
He got set up with no weapons! That shit was designed!
Cam still supports them!
The Wr and db having a brawl
Cam: doing jumping jacks and waving his hands
The Famous Ice up game by steve smith. Also an appearance by psycho Tom at the end haha.
an absolute huge upset W from the Panthers, and Cam Newton was starting to become a real superstar QB in his prime, 4 years later won his only NFL MVP ..
*2
Steve Smith vs Aqib Talib, what a game this was.
Cam Newton is one of my all time favorite QBs I hope he makes a comeback. -Cardinals fan
Looks like you’ll get your wish.
😂😂 that aged terribly
The fans need this Cam Newton form again
I was a Bama fan before I was a Panthers fan, and this game was the one that changed my opinion about Cam. I was all in after this!
Imagine if Cam Newton left after a loss and didnt shake Bradys hand? Brady does it. Not a word
The Patriots didn't play that well but I also forgot how BLATANT that PI was from Luke Kuechly. 😂
I'm a Patriots fan and I was ok with the no call, I hate winning games with the help of penalties.
Also, I don't think Gronk catches that regardless. It still probably gets picked
@@greysonG10 Hey I totally see your point and I agree! However, I would've like to see Gronk at least given a chance to make a play on the ball before the DB got there to pick it.😂
The flag was picked up to keep the Saints from running away with the NFC South. The refs have been screwing us even before the No-Call.
He couldn't catch it ir was low so it didn't matter
What a time to be alive
I like the Color commentator, I sure hope he doesn’t get caught up in a huge email scandal
“Ice Up Son” This made Steve Smith A Kissing Suzy Kolber legend. Those of you that know, you know
“You gon have to ask him what happened, cuz he didn’t finish the game.” Steve smith, a legendary trash talker
It was a great game
Who would have known Cam would end up playing for the Patriots one day
And absolutely suck playing for them, hmmm 🤔, don't think anybody
Cam didn’t suck! He won 7-8 his 1st yr. He got re-signed!
How is Mac Jones doing for 2022- 2023 with all the weapons he got stacked up with?
Edelman went to my old high school in Redwood City California Woodside High School he was a quarterback at the time I believe even had his jersey in the main office
Gruden is a legend
11:22 omfg! This is the play! THIS IS THE PLAY RIGHT HERE! I went berserk when I saw this.
This was the game where we told the NFL to NOT 🤬 WITH US AND TO TAKE US SERIOUSLY! We were about business that year
I was at this game probably one of the best nights of my life 💯 #KeepPounding
Fun fact Cam Newton has never lost to Tom Brady
He has now after his return to Carolina last season.
@@tylerhaddock9583 no he hasn’t that was preseason and starters didn’t play
i hated going against Cam Newton 🙃
Yeah, he was a terror! Especially in a Superbowl,,,, as in terrorrible
Luke bear hugging Gronk on the last play 10yds down field and the no call…😂😂😂
making talib and tom brady cry in the same game was two birds with one stone
21:56 Lions fans been asking that for years…
Greatest question in Football that will never get the answer of
Back when Tom Brady threw a Temper Tantrum 😂
Here after Cam signed with the Panthers
Patriots got hosed on that holding no call. Look at the weapons Brady throwing to here compared to what he got in Tampa.
Like they didn't get calls all the time in their favor?
@@jamtop1105 did they or was that something ppl just told themselves? Belichick teams always were among the least penalized going back to his browns days because he’s a great coach.
The Saints got hosed on that play as well; it kept us from winning the NFC South and getting a first-round bye.
We don’t have Steve smith vs talib type rivalries anymore 😢
Look at that crowd. When Carolina teams are good the Carolinas show out.
This Panthers team was stacked, so many greats
Cam never loss to Brady
4:25 Third down stop was all Kuechly, he pulled Davis out of the a gap and had him guard the stick route. His knowledge of the game was incredible
Instead of shake hands Tom Brady has to be all about himself
Brady needed #1 WR. those crucial drops at the end killed that drive.
Greg Hardy was a sack monster that year, before deciding to sack his girlfriend repeatedly in the offseason.
This game got Carolina on the map.
Smith & Talib was going at it then Smith just started dominating him
This is a ultimate battle two of the greatest Qb ever
There's no comparison , did you eat lead paint as a kid?
i miss this panthers team so much 😢
Even though I’m a Tennessee Titans fan I was kind of shocked that Panthers beat Patriots with Tom Brady even though Tennessee Titans beat patriots in the wildcard with Tom Brady before😅😅😅😅😅
21:48 It was at that time tom brady wanted help from the refs.
Lol at 4:04. Dude said, "I have no idea how to pronounce this, so I'm just gonna go as fast as possible."
Even tho Tampa Bay will probably win both matchups, I can’t wait for the Bucs Panthers matchups in Weeks 16 and 18 even if Cam isn’t the same as before
I love Carolina Panthers! 💙💙💙
Damn this panthers defense was stacked
Great Game! Was expecting a game winning drive by NE, but was surprised that Carolina held on..
Between Jon Gruden’s commentary and Greg Hardy’s presence there are some real unsettling moments in this game
😂😂 y2 banana
THE FAMOUS QUOTE "ICE UP SON, ICE UP!"
God I miss that panthers team.
Patriots: Real Madrid!
Panthers: AS Monaco!
Rematch of Super Bowl 38 with Panthers getting the victory.
My teams decision to drop Cam and Rivera may be the dumbest decisions the Panthers organization has ever made.
NFL Throwback, for next week Chiefs-Raiders do Week 3 1995 & Browns-Patriots Week One 95. Much obliged
Need the headbutt game
2013-2015 Cam was CRAZY GOOD🎯
2011-2018*...
Take me back 😢

Cam owns brady 😭
One of the rare times that the panthers didn’t play like absolute dogshit in a prime time game.
…Ice up son, ice up”🎯😉
RIP Ryan Mallet
Ironic the one time I wanted Cam to suck was when he beat us, and the one time I wanted him to be great was when he was with us and sucked.
Cam didn’t suck! He got set up with no weapons to fail.
It was coordinated with Saban, Bill, & Kraft.
Julian Edelman left Cam after 6 games.
Look at Mac Jones, & all the weapons they gave him, way above Cam.
Cam still supports the Patriots & Mac Jones, ral good!!
