As a born and bred New Yorker, I have to say I was VERY impressed with how well you captured the city.
(That iPad mini did a terrific job as well!)
It's also great to see how much you appreciate WALKING here - it really is without a doubt, the very best way to experience New York City.
We who live here often take for granted how truly cool it is here- so it's nice to be reminded of it once in a while.
And your video sure did that!
I also loved your early morning trek to the gym - VERY daring of you to do that just to go work out!!
I work on Movies and TV shows, so I am often walking around the city at that dark 400-500 AM time
and usually would not recommend that activity to tourists lol!
Nice way to also showcase how versatile and valuable that iPad mini is.
I bought it last year on your recommendation and everything you raved about it is right on the money.

I too use the iPad mini over my phone more often. Perfect little e reader and browsing device. Texting people from it is better than a phone also. My iPhone is my camera when traveling, and the iPad is the perfect companion, especially when traveling

He's always been curious about Times Square and now that he's a teen I think we will make the trip this summer. Great idea, I'm sure he will love it! The bag is the Sling Bag from Peak Design. It comes in several sizes, the 6L one fits the mini but I prefer the 10L version because it holds more other stuff too. That way I don't need any other bags or pouches.

Brilliant video Patrick. I absolutely love NY, my favourite city. Had the privilege of going 1st to New Jersey in 2009 to see Springsteen play the last shows at Giants stadium. We had a day in NY, and we knew Bruce was playing Madison Square Gardens a month later so we bit the bullet and went back and had a full week in NY. Absolutely fell in love with the city. Planning on going back next year and cannot wait. Thanks for sharing your trip.

I haven't watched your videos in a while; glad I came back to your channel to catch up on what I've been missing. I was in New York last weekend and, like you, really enjoy the city. ( I live in DC so not hard to get there for me.) I thought this video was terrific for both travel and tech. Can you tell me what hotel you stayed at while in NYC and where in the city it was located?

I added an iPad mini 6 to my 12.9” iPad Pro and iPhone 13 Pro. It fills that space for reading, portability and notes. I had one before (Mini 3) and really enjoyed it. Both iPads have purpose and use for me.

Just got myself the base ipad mini 6 after deliberating for quite a while now. Your videos really helped in making the decision and this video with vlog attached is really fun to watch! I used to have the 11 inch with magic keyboard and since i got myself a macbook i ended up not using the ipad often so decided to sell it. I realised then a mini is what I need as alternative for content consumption in bed when the iphone is charging and great tool for note taking with the apple pencil

@@PatrickRambles it’s great! It literally replaced my diary and make Notes and calendar easier to use for my work. I just hope apple will not announce a new ipad mini this year..it will be a bummer as i just bought a 2021 version in 2023 haha
Very nice video. I was impressed with how you found uses for your iPad Mini. I've had my mine since it was updated from the iPad mini 5 that I still have. I've brought every version of the iPad mini since it was introduced back in 2012. I'm really hoping that they introduce a new mini in June or by the fall. I extended Care + on my baby and keep it in a case. Oh and thanks for the video on iPad accessories. I'm subscribed and looking forward to more.

Amazing video.... I live in NYC and you gave a great video tour of some of the most popular spots (and there's nothing wrong with hitting some tourist attractions once in a while!). If you come back, let me know and I'll give you some great suggestions for some lesser known but amazing spots. the Ipad Mini is also my iPad of choice! I'm curious - do you have the 5G version or were you connecting to the hotspot on her phone?
Thanks for the kind offer! Hotspot, I'm afraid. My one purchasing regret is not getting the cellular version. I hardly ever use cellular on my iPad Pro but the extreme portability of the mini makes it much more suited to have its own connection.

I purchased a purple iPad Mini 6 last month, and I absolutely love it. It is so much easier to carry around than my iPad Pro 12.9”, and does everything I need it to do. The only thing I would change is the fact that Apple did not carry the face recognition capability to this iPad, but it is perfect for me, otherwise. Great video!

Patrick you were in my hometown!!! I love all your videos but especially loved this one and getting to see you out and about with ur lovely wife. I have been a long subscriber to your channel although I do not comment often. I love apple and have a complete apple footprint at home. I brought the 12.9 inch iPad but never took it anywhere because of the weight. I am 65 years old and it just added to much weight to my EDC bag. After hearing you give such high praise to the mini I took a chance and went ahead and got it. I have been in love ever since!!! It fits into a tom tom sling bag so its so easy to take everywhere. I installed a Dbrand skin and a Moft snap stand which adds no weight to it. I do not leave home without it. My next mini will have wifi and mobile and at least 256 gigs. I brought the barebone model in case I did not like it (REGRET) Now my M2 Macbook air and M1 12.9 inch iPad sit at home collecting dust lol. Again love your reviews and videos keep up the awesome work!!!!!

I like the more personal videos from time to time. I'm not one for watching lots of random videos on CZcams and probably mainly only watch 4-5 channels for tech stuff so it's kind of nice to get a peak behind the curtain of their wider lives so I very much enjoyed this

On the Samsung side, Z Fold 4 is great for me. It's both a phone+mini tablet. No need to buy and carry both devices that are 95% identical. Samsung always have sales, and I got mine with 512gb for only $1070 last Black Friday sale. I love Apple stuffs, but I can not stomach the Apple tax.🎉

Only one question i have on the ipad mini 😊. How do you reply to any urgent emails using ipad mini ? as it dosent have a magic keyboard .
I carry my old ipad mini during travel but face difficulty in typing replying to emails.
