I would not buy with the current interest rate, Just too high. Save and pay cash, you will thank yourself later down the road. I just bought my wife a 2024 Lexus NX hybrid, $52k OTD in cash.

Don’t treat cars as investment. Treat it as a tool that takes you from point a to b. Always pay in cash and enjoy it.
Don't! Considering the miles the car loses, the range the car gives, the High Car Price and High Insurance, you are not saving much. Get a luxury Gas car

Have fun and enjoy. Ignore the haters that will comment. Have a 2022 model 3 long range. Me and the wife pretty much went through the same checklist when we picked it up. The only suggestion I'll make is get your model y wheel alignment checked. 6 months after picking up our model 3 I had really bad uneven tire ware. Turns out the front wheels were toed out and alignment off coming out of the factory. Unfortunately the alignment cost wasn't covered. The tesla rep said that if I noticed sooner and brought it in the cost for the alignment would've been covered.

The charge port closes on its own after a few seconds; you don't have to shove it down lol

People in the comments don’t understand why people get teslas and that’s because they are one of the most safest cars it has 15 cameras so you’ll have 0 blind spots and it has a stop feature if your going to get into an accident or break checked not including the autopilot on the car and it shows you on the screen all the cars around your surroundings plus insurance is around 3k every 6 months but that covers your whole tesla! Your batterie your wheels everything average people spend 100$ a week on gas while tesla is 4$ a week or less then a dollar a day so for 6 months of gas its 2400 dollars and plus insurance ranges 300$(not covering the whole vehicle) to 600$ so its the same price but i d rather pay more to let my car drive itself and have amazing safety features plus anyone who says you have to charge it families usually have 2 cars anyways like a truck to go to the mountains and such to me the tesla is a winner.
Anywho great purchase hoping to buy one as well going top go with the 2021 version myself since an Asian friend showed me all the features and it’s basically the same as the 2024.
Some people will never understand, but it’s refreshing to see people who do :))

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the first person perspective and seeing the color. My delivery is next Thursday in the same color, but the Performance version. It's a great time to buy too, now that prices dropped and the tax credit is available.

A lot of these checks are covered under warranty. The things to check for are things not covered, like panel gaps, minor fit n finish etc
It doesn’t hurt to double check. Especially if you are already at Tesla. If there was anything that need to be done we were already there to get it fix the same day.

when we took delivery we didn't need to do anything not even show id or any paperwork they just said to clike delivery are wlaked to our car then we drove home

I love how the expectations for a $50,000 vehicle are so low you need a checklist to make sure basic functionality works like the keys and trunk and that there aren't extreme quality issues like panel gaps. You wouldn't do this with any other car or at any dealer.

I’ve had a 22 Model 3 Performance and now my 23 red Model Y long range and delivery day is so awesome. It was just a fun experience both times. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the regular car buying debacle.

Thank you! We love it so far! We a found a couple issues that we saw during delivery that were minor issues (ie. build quality), but we recently found a major issue with our HVAC system. We want to go more in-depth about it in a video cause it is apparently a common thing we saw on reddit from other Tesla owners.

Picking up my Model Y tomorrow. I sure hope they have public WiFi because I have T-Mobile 😂 I wish they offered reasonable pickup times though. I have to take PTO just to buy a new car. :(

Yes we did. We recommend test driving one first! After that, we new for sure it was the right decision

Is it true that you have to pay a recurring subscription for map/navigation to work?
Nope. Premium connectivity, which is the subscription, gives you live navigation data such as traffic and other media abilities, but thankfully you don’t need to navigate :)
I have to say white is the only color that looks clean and timeless.

Is this all of the inspection instructions in the Tesla app?
Checking VIN was in the tesla app, but majority of it was a personal choice to inspect it.

how much is your annual insurance? and who did you go with?
We went with Tesla Insurance. We are currently on it, and it’s costing us ~$90-$150 a month for the two of us. Our video about Tesla Insurance goes in to a bit more detail.

No, we were debating, but ultimately decided it will inevitably get rocks chips and scratches.

They turn on in the cold. The biggest thing is they charger a bit slower.
Why you didn’t the home charger?
We were planning to, but decided it was probably going to be cheaper if we found one off market. So we took the risk, and thankfully we found one at a cheaper cost.

It was 5.45%. We went through Tesla’s loan option. It was the cheapest we could find at the time.
Guys come on, these are checks you would do on a 100k mile car perhaps but not on brandnew. You have warranty

Happy with my gas guzzler I get in the car and drive off no mucking about with mobile crap. Fill up fuel in minutes or wait ages charging . Not enough infrastructure for charging in the uk

I got locked from using my auto steer on my Tesla for a week. No summons and no auto steer which I have paid for. What’s next I can’t drive my car? Next EV or self driving car will not be a Tesla.
