Unfortunately the anime clip of the fight between Boros and Saitama also keeps getting taken down. They are both the best parts of the franchise, they are the parts anyone should see if they see no other parts.
Saitama really just break Garou, physically and mentally. Garou, the man who overcame death purely by determination, motivation, fighting spirit and the will to live, that was all taken and torn apart by Saitama.
Saitama broke garou to the point of rethinking his life choices without even sweating.
that is a rarity in anime history
Hell yeah. Garou was awesome. He was never wrong about what he said he was just wrong about how he said it. Bias does affect how people see each other in real life instead of just facing each other as people. However he thought heroes were the representation of that which was due to being misguided. Saitama shattered that reality of his and made him see the world and himself for what they really were. He can still fight for the world he wants but he can just go about it in a different way. I JUST REALIZED WHAT I JUST SAID, OH GOD! Fanfic writers are gonna have fun with this one
The only reason Garou coped so well is because Saitama clearly wasn't trying to kill him. He's been known to show massive restraint against humans, and he never once regarded Garou as a monster or even evil at all.
yep. the reason saitama is surprised garou got back from the first blow is probably because he is testing how much he can go. (speculation) he probably just wanted to knock him out, but garou cant really be knocked out, its death or not death. maybe the reason why boros got serious punched to pieces is because he had the intent to kill and saitama can sense that. and the reason saitama only wanted to knock him out garou is because he cant sense the intent to kill from garou.
@@primalknight boros straight up wanted to destroy the world and he had the capabilities to do so but saitama prevented that garou on the other hand..

@@user-yq8yv9tm4m Consecutive Normal Punches would’ve likely been enough to wipe him if Saitama hadn’t seen Garou as human. Man I wish the manga adapted this fight one to one. The mangas adaptation was hype and super fun, but this feels like it was just better written
I also wish the manga kept the ‘scrbbleness’ of Garou’s monster form. Made him look way more wild and untamed
I love what I’ve seen in the manga, but I feel like it could’ve been so much better if they followed this version of the fight even a little but more than they did.
@@couchpotato5657I think deep down I thought about the change in Garou’s design between the webcomic and manga, but I never acknowledged the thought until you brought it up.
I like how you know Saitama not actively trying to kill him, like before he outrights says it there's small details like his serious moves. Instead of "Killer move Serious Series" he uses "Super move Serious series"
That is a good observation I have somehow never made
nah that's a translation error
he said killer move with sonic though? no?
Saitama also saw him as a human, and toned down his attacks accordingly. He has no desire to kill garou, and garou even related the fight to “a child playing with an insect in a cage”
Even though I agree with this I would still say that his “normal punches” were indeed the normal punches that he used on every other monster and Boros so Garou’s endurance is somewhat higher than Boros not saying the same about strength though
@@N2O_The1000thElement but it's still clear that boros power is a lot more distractive that can destroy a whole planet. You can clearly see that saitama is holding himself back here trying not to squash him into tiny bits like what he does to other monsters because he knows garou is still human despite all that.

Saitama saw through Garou's bluff. Even though everyone asked him to kill off Garou he didn't because he knew Garou was trying to make a point ☝️ you are no Hero if you can't muster the courage to SAVE a Child in danger. If you can't stand quit being HERO.
A HERO is someone who doesn't even notice if his face is disfigured, his lungs are punchered, his bones are shattered, his blood is dried out. A HERO's feet moves before he has a chance to think... not waiting for someone else to take a stand coming in between. A True HERO doesn't let someone die in front of him... especially a kid who can't defend HIMSELF. He would run, walk, crawl but no matter what he would come in between the threat and the defenseless.
Mumenrider he showed what a True hero suppose to be when he faught Deep Sea King. And everyone know even if Saitama NEVER showed up that Kid would have crawled held on to Sea King's Feet TiLL he was crushed to Death.
That's what Garou wanted from so called S class HERO's...
And in a way that’s what garou did himself. Even when he was beaten, broken, poisoned, and sick he still deflected mini gun fire and put his life as well as everything he worked for on the line to save one kid. Especially when he didn’t really even know if he could pull it off healthy.

peak opm. If you haven't realized, the entire fight was written in Garou's point of view. Who is the protagonist of this arc? Saitama? No. In the entire fight, not one line of thought from Saitama was presented to us. What we have perceived is what Garou perceived. What we know about Saitama is only what Saitama himself directly said to Garou.
Saitama in this fight was completely unreadable and unrelatable, and that's a good thing. ONE didn't want us to relate to Saitama; he wants us to relate to Garou. Only by doing so did Saitama truly feel like the embodiment of unfairness that halted Garou from his goal.

Saitama= Friends with the developer of the game and is given a tremendous amount of stats.
Garou= Grinded the game and is very skilled
i feel like the manga did way too much, to the point where it felt like a finale to the whole manga lmao. It shows blasts, concluding years long worth of theorizing and speculating who he is. A shit ton of information about everything about god, making both super mysterious characters a lot less interesting. It even reveals god talking to garou, with a huge fight that destroys moons and planets, and millions of stars, right after. Then ALL of it gets undone by time travel, and no one remembers except genos. Like what the fuck lmao. The webcomic fight is much more impactful and smaller scale, similar to Boros. Garou is the first character to actually dodge saitama's attacks, and humiliates the s-class, and is much more menacing, even though he is much weaker than cosmic garou.
Not to mention the fight had saitama go super edgy mode, and not care how strong garou was, at least this version had normal saitama getting excited that garou wasn't going down super easily, and at least everyone REMEMBERS the fight.
Now the manga is dealing with being interesting again due to showcasing everything so early on, when the webcomic still has so, so many more mysteries to explore, they haven't even shown off blast yet, he has not made a single appearance yet, and god would actually end up being the final fight, giving that super cool space fight we want to see AND be the finale to the webcomic at the same time, being much more satisfying. Instead of "saitama learns time travel but then immediately forgets everything once he time traveled" like what kind of writing is that.
Agreed. I still like the manga, but the symbolism in the webcomic fight is just better in my opinion. Especially since it happens after the S-Class aswell.

this version of the fight is WAY better thematically tbh
The manga did more justice to Garou's actual redemption. In the webcomic he just runs away from problems and becomes a fugitive, neglecting everyone he knows.
In the manga, he saves the ass of many "heroes" and, at the end, even gives his own life to prevent god manipulating him into killing everyone. And, with the help of Bang, he returns to his humanity. You mean shitland saga. I don't even know what is happening in that story now.
This fight actually shows quite a bit about Siatma. Plenty of people have mentioned the restraint he shows and morality things, but there’s also something else.
One of Garou’s strengths is that he can learn and adapt to the strategy’s of his opponents. Mimic their moves, change his approach, something to give him an edge.
Against Saitama, he can do none of that. There’s no style to copy or strategy to adjust to. The man is like a fight you are scripted to lose. A hulking mass of stats that are impossible to even try to meet or outplay.
Losing is literally the only option, and he realizes this after a while.
However, this, along with the tournament arc in the anime, shows that Saitama never bothered to learn a style of fighting. Even before breaking his limiter, the dude would run into a fight with no special skills, talents, or powers. Just reckless abandon and sheer force of will.
Ye, when you have effectively infinite stat on all parameter (maybe aside from hairliness), trying to become 70% more efficient or 30% more deadly just become useless, as infinity times that many is still infinity. Especially against what to him is literal paper mache shrimp, you really don’t need to dance around your opponent, if the most efficient and simple way always work. (in that case, it’s One Punch lol)
For most of his opponent, they need to read their opponent, make plan, become stronger, adapt, etc…Learning the meta, as it was. For Saitama, it’s like every single card of his deck just read “I win”, and he break the entire board with a nuke.
so what you're saying is that Saitama as a combatant is just a walking stat check
I like it lol

In addition to the webcomic version of Garou VS Saitama being superior to the manga in terms of narrative, themes, and keeping with ONE's core idea if Saitama being emotionally detatched from his life and the people in it (as opposed to in the manga where Saitama does the shounen stock thing of becoming stronger from the power of friendship and anger when Genos dies... ugh) and also being so much stronger than anything in his universe that he never needs to struggle in the slightest (as opposed to the manga where garou seemingly when he first reaches comsic mode is able to match Saitamas power at that point), Garou actually comes of as much MORE impressive in the webcomic than the manga it terms of feats. In the manga, Garou only starts displaying truly impressive feats against Saitama after taking some of Gods power and, especially, after copying Saitama. In the webcomic meanwhile Garou all on his own power manages to keep up with Saitama to the point that Saitama actually shows hints of enjoying the fight! Obviously, yes, Saitama was still holding back but the sheer fact that he is shown smiling and thinking to himself "Yes! He can keep going!" is the closest we've ever seen to Saitama enjoying a fight. Also, most impressively, Garou actually survives a serious headbutt. I repeat, a SERIOUS headbutt. Yes, manga Garou survives several serious punches but, again I remind you, only after gaining the power of God and of Saitama. Webcomic garou is insane in how much he was able to grow without taking anyones elses power, it was all him... and yet at the same time ONE never had to compromise his idea of Saitama being so superior to every opponent that he could finish any fight immediately if he actually tried, and that he never gets emotionally invested in a fight beyond a "this is actually kinda fun" point.

I think that the webcomic as good as it is actually does a disservice to Garou’s character and does nothing to reveal Saitama’s. The fight we got was actually just “mindless action” though it was not a spectacle like in the manga. It’s perfect fine if you don’t like the manga continuity, honestly I agree to an extent but what you’re saying isn’t really true. You simply cannot make a parody with the core elements of the original. Not to mention it would be a waste of the time we spent getting to the end of the arc if there was no progression of power and escalation of stakes and expansion of the story. If you wanted it to remain “a perfect parody” forever then you don’t like good stories.
the interesting part is only another human could give saitama a somewhat more interesting fight. So i guess that just means humans have inherently more plot armor than monsters lol

So this is just a theory but I think the table flip proves Saitama's "serious series" is still only a fraction of his full strength. Boros kicked him into the moon and we know Saitama is a lot stronger than Boros. And we also know Saitama gets significantly stronger every day, from the story about him fighting his own AI clone. If the table flip threw Garou into the upper atmosphere that would be less powerful than one of Boros' attacks. Which means if Saitama got properly serious he could probably kick someone (provided they are durable enough) to other star systems and beyond.
It is true that Saitama always says "Can the you of today beat the you from yesterday" but Saitama also says that the VGS is unreliable
The vgs thing could be because Saitama is way too strong for the vgs to completely imitate his power for his clone
I personally think that saitama has been so strong for so long that when he uses his “serious series”, he’s not actually being serious it’s just that he *thinks* it’s serious because he rarely every puts that much power in a punch.
