- WARNING: FAMILY IN TROUBLE AT HAULOVER INLET ! | BOAT TAKES ON TOO MUCH WATER ! | WAVY BOATS
This weekend Haulover Inlet has very rough waves and boats are flying all over the place. This captain puts everyone in danger by stuffing the bow of the boat several times repeatedly. More coming from this weekend. Stay tuned!

Incredible some of the stuff we capture guys. How could this have been avoided? 😳
KEEP THE BOW UP AND LEVEL OUT THE WEIGHT
And also don’t put that many people on that small of a boat 🤦♂️
Get a captain at the helm who understands boats, weights, and you know? Simple thinks
@@TERoss-jk9ny yes these guys clearly have no clue what they are doing bc he sped up at the last second.
Way too many people on that boat.
It’s genuinely scary to see so many inexperienced people go out into those conditions. These people are the reason coast guard is needed so much
Yes I agree. Only experienced people should start boating.
FREEDOM :D
@@jackmorgan1677 😅
Some states now say you have to have boat captain certificate.
You’re great
Typical Haulover Inlet pre-trip safety checklist:
boat over-loaded- check
lines hanging over the side- check
no life jackets for the kids- check
kids on the bow-check
heavy seas in the inlet- check
You could add:
Unnecessarily heavy people on the bow (check)
Nailed it.
Engine not trimmed up-check
Not enough throttle-check
Ive also noticed every time the boat is listing people never seem to try and move to the opposite side.
Exactly..a million violations..he thinks its a big joke- he's responsible for Everyone!!..
As a coastie, this makes me fear for all their lives. They are willingly putting their lives, and their family’s lives at risk by trying to traverse such rocky waters. We’ve seen boats be destroyed and sink from less. Always remember rule number 1: have enough inflatables/life jackets on the boat for each person (emphasis on EACH) at all times. Also, NEVER take on a choppy and challenging lake or ocean like this for fun unless you have actual experience driving boats through rough waters. And even then, don’t subject your family to the rough of the waters if you can help it. One wrong turn or move, and your boat, along with its occupants, are going down.
There's always that Billy badass
With an overloaded boat, no less.
Good comment
Great advice. Sadly many would risk. Not so long ago, on the news was mentioned about a small boy and a mother who lost their lives. The family was in one of the small boats. Sad 😞
And what about broken backs and necks, before they go down?
Those open bow boats are ridiculously dangerous, especially when overloaded!
Theyre not dangerous, if you dont take them into dangerous conditions
This just proves what I have always said. “Just because someone can own a boat, doesn’t mean they should own a boat.” Being able to drive a boat in calm seas doesn’t make you capable of handling the rough stuff.
Amen
Yup. I would not attempt this because I would have no clue how to handle a situation like this. I’m a PWC guy on a lake lol
It's the way this stretch of water seems to go from calm to mental in 30 seconds seems to catch people out. False sense of security I guess?

Pro tip: life jackets work better when you wear them.
You really think those dumbass people know what a life jacket is? Nevermind the law for life jackets on kids while under way!
Exactly! 👍
Looks like the 1st boater still has his bow line attached and its in the water dragging on his starboard side. Who knows, if its long enough it might even be caught up in his prop
@@josea5949 that was either a rental, or this idiot brought his lake boat down from his home for vacation and has never seen a wave!
He literally NEVER trimmed the motor. It was ALL the way in the whole time! I have never been on a boat that was moving at anything other than dock speed with the motor all the way down.
Pro tip: know how to drive a boat.
I believe the Coast Guard refers to these kinds of people as "Job Security"
Huh, coincidence. That's what the coroner and funeral director's call 'em too.
I doubt the Coast Guard would even become involved (unless they just happened to be passing through the outlet). The first responders would most likely be city and/or county police/sheriff marine officers, local fire department marine rescue, and probably Sea-tow or a similar private company (and possibly the State of Florida's Marine Patrol).
My Dad grew up on boats. Ocean and lakes and rivers. He always wore and made us wear life jackets.
I've often heard the saying "Some people have more money than brains" Thanks to your channel I get to see it first hand.
The same could be said about you and whatever device you use to access CZcams.
@@doriangray2020 I highly doubt that. The value of my cell phone wouldn't even buy a prop for any of these vessels.
@@smallchunkaground2071 you missed the point. It’s all relative...stupidity is not bound by money or lack thereof.
@@doriangray2020 i believe you missed the point. My comment was about the millions of dollars worth of boats on this channel and the people who don't have brains enough to know not to risk lives when there's a small craft advisory or having people flopping around on the bow in those conditions. So yeah if you can afford a half a million dollar boat at least go get educated on how to maneuver it. I love watching most of these boats on this channel but alot of times I cringe seeing high dollar boats that have no business even attempting those conditions. More money than brains = Very expensive boat, captain brainless.

Hello how are you feeling today and hope my comment found you in a good spirit. I was just going my youtube page when I came across your beautiful profile so I decided to say Hi by writing on your comments section. I’m sorry if my comments bugs you.
I'm a varsity rower and whenever i went out to sea, life jacket is a must. No matter how good of a swimmer you are, sea currents are deadly.
Yep, swimming in a pool vs swimming in open water with currents is 2 completely different things.
PFD is the seat belt of the boat, you might not ever need it, but if you ever do you will be glad it was on.
Also saying "i know how to swim" going out on a boat without a PFD is like saying "i dont need a seat belt i know how to sit" in a car 🤣🤷♂️🤦♂️
Exactly, I have never seen anyone swim while being unconscious, Type 1 PFD preferred.
Meus que triste
Yep, got caught by a rip current before. It wasn't fun.
The children with no life jackets on. What's wrong with these parents or these guardians..? It makes me angry to see these brainless people put their children's life in jeopardize...
Overloaded boat, rough seas, kids in front with no lifejacket! 3 strikes, your a dumbass Capt!
These idiots are more amusing than anything. In fact I wish there were knuckleheads to this level on the water in my area, great entertainment.
Not just kids without lifejackets, but some adults too. They have no respect for the dangers of the water. Pitiful.
This video pissed me off too. The child is right in front of him, about to fly out the boat and damn near breaking his back everytime the boat slams down and that fool just keeps going!! Unbelievable.. smh
They are careless, incompetent and putting people at risk. Very stupid
Sue Wolfe- Oh so many memories of going through Haulover Inlet! It's where Biscayne Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. The waters can be pretty choppy without " choppy" seas!!
Wow I think after watching that first one I understand how sheer stupidity can capsize a boat. I only go fishing but it's probably a good idea to put the life jackets on first as opposed to when your in trouble.
Aren’t there warnings to not take your boat out when water is this rough?
1:42 You can carry more water if you throw the life jackets overboard!

I've owned boats for 33 years and I have so much respect for those that understand they are over their heads and turn around and just contempt for the idiots with children in the boat and keep going until they nearly sink. The guy with the 22' Robalo shows that it is the captain, not the boat as he made it fine. Love watching the Red Top Legend! Thanks for the great video's and I hope some learn from these but they won't.....
Same here. Grew up with a ship captain for a father spent my entire youth on the water while he taught me how to navigate tide/wind through cuts like this. Made the same comment about the Robalto up thread. He used his throttle to perfection, text book boss. That idiot in the Regal just kept his throttle static and scooped up 55 gallon drums of water. Guy had no business attempting those conditions.
@@DanielC__ My buddies dad was a navy captain and I spent some time on his boats throughout the years. My friend is a great pilot due to growing up on the water. Some of these people don't belong on a pontoon let alone a powerboat.
This is a situation for a bass boat only.
@@DanielC__ That first boat was terrifying to watch. That skipper had no trim or throttle control. Everyone on that boat should have been wearing life jackets in those sea conditions. I also don’t consider a bow rider to be a rough water boat. A cabin boat provides a bulwark against the sea and there is less chance of green water coming into the boat. Obviously Florida boaters clearly disagree, given the large number of bow riders and centre consoles you see here. Where I live a 2 to 3 metre swell is pretty common, so open boats aren’t a great choice.
When I first bought my 24 f boat someone who new I was a new sailer wanted me to go to this inlet. Then, my son 10 y/o told me it was not safe. I reviewed videos with him and then I realized that no matter the age of your family but the size of the boat.
I figured out the problem ... they didn’t have enough people on-board. If they had more people it definitely wouldn’t have been as bad
That's a pisser!!!!

I thought the first group was going down for sure. Whew!!
What is the deal with inland lake boaters in bowriders going through Haulover? They all have the center windscreen open and put 400 + pounds of beef in the front. My goodness people, when Haulover is firing, put the XXL people in the rear seats, life jackets all around, close the darn center windscreen and put on the bow cover canvas so the water flows off the gunnels, not into the bilge. Just because you have a boat, does not make you a "boater"
Bilge that works might help to I don't see any water coming out either side at least once you do stupid shit got a chance at coming out the other side
Lol "gunnel"? "Bilge"? Poopdeck... Porthole... Monkey fist. You boat people sure have funny words for boating stuff.
... people whose only qualification to be out on the water is their ability to buy a boat. I call them "Captain Mastercard"
The use of a fucking trim button would make this a moot point! Trim the motor up to walk the dog and keep the nose out of the water and you can surf the waves with ease.
No truer words have been spoken.
I would definitely bring the popcorn and watch this from the side every windy weekend
