966 - Poland became christian (Baptism of Poland)
1000 - Congress of Gniezno. The German Emperor Otto III came to Poland
1018 - War expedition to Kiev by Bolesław I the Brave (Bolesław I Chrobry)
1200-1300 - The Mongol invasions of Poland.
1226 - Conrad of Masovia brings the Teutonic Order Knights to Poland to help us fight against Prussians (Pagans). They created their own state on the lands given to them by Poland and later they were attacking Poland, even though we were already a Christian country.
1333 - Coronation of King Casimir the Great (he found Poland wooden and left bricked)
1364 - European kings meeting in Cracow, and founding the Akademia Krakowska (now Jagiellonian University), one of the first universities in the world.
1377 - Władysław II Jagiełło (Jogaila Algirdaitis) became the ruler of Lithuania - later also a king of Poland by marriage with the Polish female King saint Jadwiga. He also founded the Jagiellonian Dynasty.
1410 - The battle of Grunwald against the Teutonic Order, the largest battle of the medieval Europe (we won and the Teutonic Order never regained its former glory and power).
1500-1600 - In 1573 there was signed the Warsaw Confederation that guaranteed a religious freedom.
1543 - Mikołaj Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus) issued a revolutionary scientific work "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" (On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres), development of Jagiellonian University, strong cooperation with western universities
1609-1619 - Wars with Russia because of the previous polish Dymitriady (eng. Dymitriads) during the Time of Troubles in Russia (also known as "Smuta"). That was when we captured Moscow and occupied it for 2 years.
1683 - Battle of Vienna - polish king Jan III Sobieski with polish Winged Hussars (pol. Husaria) saves Europe from islamisation, defeating much bigger army of the Ottoman Empire. Winged Hussars were the best & most formidable cavalry force in the world. It even won over enemies that were five times as numerous.
1772-1795 - Partitions of Poland by Prussia, Russia, and Austria (total of 3 in 1772, 1793, and 1795)
1791 - Adopting the Constitution of 3 May, the second constitution in the world, after American one (it was also the last peaceful attempt/try to save Poland). After that there was the Kościuszko Uprising (pol. Insurekcja Kościuszkowska), that's why they are rising scythes.
1797,1806 - Napoleonic wars (we were on the Napoleon's side because we hoped that he would give us back our freedom and an independent state)
1830 - November Uprising - national uprising against the occupation by the Russian Empire
1863 - January Uprising - another national uprising against the occupation by the Russian Empire
1800-1900 - Fryderyk Chopin (lived 1810-1849) - one of the greatest romantic composers (The Revolutionary Etude was composed by Chopin after the fall of the November Uprising, when Russians captured Warsaw, also many of his works was inspired by Poland and Polish folk music. Mazurka no. 4 in a minor, op.17 also commemorates the November Uprising). Adam Mickiewicz - one of the greatest Polish writers (one of The Three Bards of Poland). His most famous writing is "Pan Tadeusz" which is the polish national epopoeia, and probably his Opus Magnum.
1918 - Poland regain independence (after 123 YEARS of occupation)
1920 - Battle of Warsaw, also called "Miracle on the Vistula". Poland beat Russia, saving Europe again, this time from the communist revolution. It's consider to be one of the most important battles in THE WORLD HISTORY!!!
1922 - Creation of a shipyard in Gdynia
1939 - WW2 started, Russia and Germany attacked from two sides and divided Poland in half
1940 - Battle of Britain, Polish pilots saved England
1944 - Batlle of Monte Cassino, The conquest of the Monte Cassino monastery by Polish soldiers. A very important battle in the history of WW2.
1944 - Warsaw Uprising (Warsaw was completely destroyed, and Russians were waiting on the other side of the Vistula)
1945 - Poland landed on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain, under the occupation of the USSR.
1978 - Polish Cardinal Karol Wojtyła was elected Pope and took the name of John Paul II
1981 - martial law was introduced in Poland
1989 - The 1989 Roundtable Talks, Negotiations conducted by representatives of communist authorities, the democratic opposition and church parties. First partially free elections brought the long-awaited "FREEDOM".
It's just a small part of our history, there is much more but those are the most important events in a nutshell...
I also just copied this comment from some other video's comment section and did some minor corrections

W 1683 roku, odbiliśmy Wiedeń z rąk Osmańkich. Tym samym , zatrzymaliśmy najazd Osmanów na Europę.

well, even when all western europe were using gunpowder, most eastern europe were using "old tactics" with modernized armor (winged hussars). Even when faced with cannons and muskets polish military spent hundreads of years to perfect their cavalary charges. Eastern military had gunpowder but their military core were cavalry until Piotr the Great ,Tsar of Russia who reformed infantry and from then everything started to shift into "moder warfare"
