  • A recent Trip to Lake Eppalock Fishing and looking to Catch a Feed of Redfin (English Perch). It was a challenging start but managed to feed a few Redfin later in the afternoon. After trying several lures, I found that soft plastics were the best option for finding enough Redfin for a Feed of Redfin to take home. Lake Epplaock was in good shape with the water clarity on the improve and the water temperature around the 20-degree mark which is perfect for fishing Lake Eppalock.
    Hope you enjoy the video.

Nice reddies Grazza. I only managed to find schools of smaller ones the other weekend. So I decided to head up to Moorabbee end of the lake to scout out a few spots for next time and was amazed at how much water there was up that way

Hi Brenton. Trust me it took some time to find them. Did notice when celaning the fish at the Ramp, they have dropped there eggs. Hence why they slowed down for little time. I spend a bit of time on that side of the lake, caught a lot of fish around the island in McIvor Bay which is at the moment covered. Yes shes a bif Lake that side, hence why the skiers love it. Cheers Grazza.

Cheers David, The hook revel is a great unit. A Hot Tip!! Can't stress engough the importance of have the tansducer level on the back of the boat to ensure you have great image returns to the unit. Have Fun.

Good to see a few better ones. Eppalock is about the only joint fishing reliably around here ATM. Seems like Cairn Curran is a non event still. Need a good run of warm days.

Yes agree, was only of thinking of heading somewhere else locally, and theres not a lot of options at the moment. Was out at Cairn Curren last weekend, water clairty was poor but did manage to land 2 yellas and a nice Cod on the troll. Thanks for th comment
