Like if you want Circuit Bakers to be a new series!
Well. Nw IK that Chiara & Qing live in a condo. 😆. #partnersincrime
Yes more of these cuties. 😂
Circuit Bakers is such a punny name. I loaf it! ❤️🤣
circuit cookies?
How long u heated the oven?
nice one qing’s bro being ever so supportive while playing astronomia in the background
For all those people who want to bake this and want the measurements in grams, I converted it for ya :) Happy baking! ❤️🍪
250g butter
250g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
282.5g wheat flour
65g cornstarch
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
1 tsp baking powder
6 tbsp cooking oil
350g chocolate chips
PlayFood 6 tbsp oil not tsp
6 tbsp already too much
I actually use 6tbsp based on the link recipe share.
For the wheat flour, is it whole wheat flour? Any substitute for wheat flour
@@mwswzy Oh yeah it is 6 tbsp! I edited it to update; thanks for pointing it out!
thank you Eatbook and Qing for filming this even during CB! excited to try this recipe and tag @eatbooksg ^^
One tip is that when refrigerating the cookie dough, you roll it into a cylindrical log shape of desired diameter. Then when you are ready to bake, just take out and slice them into disks instead of rolling them by hand one by one.
famous amos cookie don't have a consistent shape to begin with.
The way I've seen famous amos do it is roll their dough into a log (~2cm diameter?), then pinch off small nuggets which they place directly onto a baking sheet. Kinda explains the somewhat irregular shape. Prolly easier to make portions this way to!
Oh I was waiting for qing's brother review 😂
tried this but replaced corn starch with twice amt of plain flour and replace brown sugar with white sugar. STILL turns out great and taste good adding in crushed almonds too🤩 👍🏻
Baked this a few days ago, it turned out perfectly! :) Worth the try!! you can add lesser sugar if you prefer your cookie to be less sweet!
Yay!! New episode from eatbook cooks
I made this before. And it did turn out great. Just a point to note, your butter needs to be softer. Also, use the other type of brown sugar, the darker one. it actually tasted better. I did both versions using different type of brown sugar, and the one with the darker brown sugar actually tasted better.
Terrific home baking inspiration here! Very nice to see the preparation process and the results look super yummy. Definitely would like to try these cookies 🙌💯😋🍪
When she put the cookies in her mouth, i can't help but adoring her cuteness 😂
I tried this today and its out of the world... Its sooo good
Worth the try. Taste great. Highly recommended! Thanks for sharing!
Qing was so happy and glad that her oven came. (not thinking that she has to set it up)
Mine turned out to be a hit! Thanks for the recipe!
just made them and it taste good !! was pretty easy although cooking time is q long but recipe is great !!
I feel like by the end of the phase 2, we will all be masterchefs/bakers
TIP: dont roll it into ball, just scoop A portion and directly onto the tray so it is not smooth and have the rough famous amos cookie texture
Hello Qing! Hope your quarantine is going well! Love Eatbook!❤️
Hello! All is well and stay safe everyone! We love y'all too! - Qing
Qing is so precious someone please protect 😔
wonder if anyone realizes she was pointing the wrong side when she says "watch our other videos here" and editor had to flip her
Well done. Looking good as well soo good.
Omg wish i had this 2 days ago. Me and my sister just made this exact recipe and it would be great to a reference.
Did you succeed tho
how did that work out?
Thank you for the recipe
I just making, really taste very nice
5:59 "I believe this can make 40 pieces of cookie"
My girlfriend and I based our plans on this and thought "oh let's make 80 cookies" so we doubled the recipe and ended up making like >300 cookies THANKS QING 😂
300?!!! 😂
Did Qing just bought an oven for circuit baker?
And I was waiting for Qing's brother to try the cookie and comment on it lol
Hi! Tried this recipe and gosh it really REALLy smells and tastes like famous amos' cookies! I actually swapped the kind of fine sugar Qing was using in the video with soft brown sugar (aka raw cane sugar) which gives it a darker and slightly heavier taste, which actually makes the cookies taste more like the original FA ones! I also used milk chocolate instead of the regular semi-sweet ones so it's meltier (:
about how many cookies can this recipe make?
@@weihae1803 i made smaller cookies similar to the usual size of a famous amos cookie, I could make more than 120 cookies (yes i was very surprised too) following this recipe! if you don't want so much dough, you can consider halving the recipe (: hope this helps!
@@bnbeatrice0498 hi, if we halve the recipe, how would u recommend halving the egg- is it advisable to beat the egg before adding to the mixture?
im concern about the no white sugar part. does it taste okey, with only just brown sugar?
Was it too sweet when you used milk chocolate chips?
looks great
Did that oven not have a special coating inside and you need to put it on max to burn the chemicals on it inside first?
I am a former employee of the company and so far, none of the internet's so called " Famous Amos Duplicate Recipe " can represent FA itself. Seems like preservatives is one of the ingredient that we can't put in.
I agree! Seth lui’s page said that she couldn’t even taste the difference between FA and the one she baked. But when I tried I was so disappointed!
Of course FA has its own killer ingredients inside.
@@mynnhazman4371 and addictive too 😂
I think you should use brown butter if you want a nuttier flavour!
Her mom's comment is the best thing ever
It’ll be appreciative if you guys made the measurements of the ingredients in gram. It is because singaporean cup and different country of origin cups or tbsp/tsp is diff
Hi, does anyone know how can i adjust this recipe to make a blackout cookie?.
qing: TEASPOON SPOON
me:TEASPOON
just saying YES JJ
Did Qing buy the oven just to film this video? XD
lol the brother humming the tik tok song
its so simple that kids can do it :D
Hi, I don't own an oven. Can I bake cookies with an air fryer?
Can! But results/taste/texture may differ. Here's a recipe I found on Kitchn on air fryer cookies: www.thekitchn.com/air-fryer-chocolate-chip-cookie-22957225. You can also just eat cookie dough, no-bake cookies, or buy some cookies from outside lol :)
I like the way you show, how hard to make a video and take it by yourself...
Definitely wanna try it, may be if you used an established brand like anchor, and a good brand chocolate chip the taste is close to famous Amos...
Callebaut (the chocolate she used) is already a premium chocolate
If I wanna make one batch how arh?
How long can these cookies keep?
Hello I’m new to baking. For the brown sugar 1 and 1/4 cups does that means its : 1 cup + 1/4 cup? Pls advise! Thank u:(
yes
is it salted butter??
“ if you don’t have a tripod, you be the tripod”
~Qing
“If your don’t have a girlfriend, you be the girlfriends”
~me
No need girlfriends. All you knead is cookies and loaf. 🤣❤️
that escalated quickly....
i thought we were talking about cookies....
tip: NTUC ingredients bake better than red man's
Famous Amos cookies uses brown butter. The recipe shown in the video made no mention of it. If you want that nutty flavor you can try to brown your butter before adding it in.
Do you have any recipe to reference this? :)
Baking temperature n time?
Ingredients and baking starts 1:17
So this ingredients don't need salt?
Use brown butter to get the nuttiness
But how to cream the brown butter? This recipe calls for creaming method
Anyone else noticed Qing pointed in the wrong direction for the closing so she flipped the vid 😂
Hihi what is the model of the oven that you bought?(:
This s.lazada.sg/s.MikO
Wats the name of the song from JJ Lin did she sing?? Halps pls

Can/will you put the measurements in grams for people who don't use/have cups?
You can convert it online hehe
Here ya go! I converted it for you :)
250g butter
250g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
282.5g wheat flour
65g cornstarch
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
1 tsp baking powder
6 tsp cooking oil
350g chocolate chips
@@PlayFoodSG thanks
@@PotatCloride You're welcome! Happy baking! ❤️🍪
Take a screenshot of ingredient quantities so you don’t need to keep going back and don’t need so many bowls
First mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla essence with spatula in a bowl for about 2 mins
Once done add wheat flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and vegetable oil
What is the temperature to bake it tho? 150c?
yes
Skip the corn starch, then Swap plain flour with top flour. Because top flour already got abit of corn starch. Top flour makes your cookie crispy but yet crumbly soft
What is top flour
@@cyrillizariaangeles1157 top flour is = plain flour + corn flour
when u bake cookies, u don't have to grease the tray with butter, as it contains butter already.
U need to grease if not the cookie would stick to the tray
@@trw102 maybe my tray and yours different 😅 mine also stick, but when it cool down, just tap or move the cookies gently, it will slides of easily. Also if the cookies not bake to dry completely, it will stick. just sharing my experience
@@ndndnd1 i will prefer to use baking paper, it is not as environmentally friendly but it will reduce the chances of stickint
@@ndndnd1 hmm maybe, mine comes with my oven so i guess its more stickable?
@@trw102 Tip: if you bake a lot, you can buy a Silpat (a silicone baking mat). It prevents your baked goods from sticking and is also eco-friendly 😄✌️
eating them rn
Pls try this again in the office and let your colleagues vote
qing is the singaporean choi yoo jung not even kidding

dat face
😂😂😂
Wow the sound when u take a bite. So damn crunchy😖i tried today, but it’s not crunchy. I don’t know why😖
Is it unsalted butter or what?
Yes unsalted butter
Qing!!!!
where is the egg!!! hahaha
I wonder what happened to the big size cookies
Ate it all 🤣🤣
why need to print out the recipe...
early !!
Can anyone tell me how much is one cup? I already tried 5 times and still taste weird. Lol.
250ml
Very nice .inspire me to make one....well I also making ..will publish by tonight ☺️😉 maybe my chocolate chips taste special ..I hope to share with all too let's follow each other 👍
Y'all give me an honest revidw for these cookies please. My dad bought famous amos cookies a week ago and they cost like, 5.60 for 100g and I'm a cheap asian person so that's alot for me
I believe we are missing the malt flavour in these recipes, I watched a video a while ago that incorporated malt powder if i remember correctly, maybe that will make the difference?
@@merry2882 ahh okay thanks!
Wow she bought an oven just for the cookies? Damnn
It should be 6 tbsp of oil instead of tsp 😅
What are the recipe details in grams? :( I don’t have those measuring cups at home
Here ya go! I converted it for you :)
250g butter
250g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
282.5g wheat flour
65g cornstarch
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
1 tsp baking powder
6 tsp cooking oil
350g chocolate chips
2.5 cups is 2 1/2 ?
Yeah
What if instead of normal butter, make brown butter instead. Theres a nutty flavor to brown butter and i think the cookies will taste more similar.
Brown butter is a form of melted butter and melted butter yields a chewier cookie instead of normal softened butter using the creaming method which would result in a fluffier cookie and is better for famous amos crunchy cookie
I feel that shortening will be more similar to famous amos cookie. Combining more shortening with less butter would have a crunchier texture
@@trw102 i did half shortening half browned butter. its a bit flat and ugly but still tastes decent
@@OIdmountain just use brown ghee. Also mix half AP and half cake flour to have that crunchy texture.
*when you're so early , the only comments are "1st , 1 minutes ago" :')*
nice pun and first
You forgotten the coffee powder
Early!
omg i tried this recipe too but it came out bad :(
same :(
2:18 anyone want any extra mucous on their cookies?
hi 😑
🤨📸
i've tried this before and they dont taste like famous amos. still a great recipe and yummy though! just.. not famous amos
X L my pleasure :) Cheers!
I’ll take YOUR word over the ingredients she put into this so-called replicating Famous Amos cookie
My cookies .... failed
Baker ingredients all from RED MAN right
haha "sponsored by Red Man" 🤣
Instead of making the cookies smaller, she just need to put lesser cookies onto the tray.
She wanted Famous Amos size
Missing 2 ingredients.
I made twice the amount she made. I think I made a mistake too. I needed to use like an entire literal container for like huge amounts of food for all the ingredients. And now I have a huge batch of uncooked cookies, baking them will take forever oh god
Wheat Flour = All Purpose Flour ?? Really ? 🤭
你很cute啊😂😂
The recipe is not even 1% close despite following EXACTLY. I can’t believe people actually commented that it taste/ smell like the real one? Please have some integrity. Was looking forward to the outcome sadly it disappointed me so badly that I wouldn’t ever wna try another recipe from their channel especially the “rice cooker” recipes seeing how effortless it is, I doubt it will even taste as good as how they “pretend” it to be.
Why you smell the cookie so close your nose
Sorry for focus on this instead hahahaha
You are so cute
Everytime I want to go Redman baking store, it will be always crowded. Even tho you come in the early in the morning there will be many people queing there. Aiyo why Singaporeans so kiasu 😒😒😒
yea last time not so. Nowadays so many masterchefs baking at home during CB
