    Would this routine be suitable for sensitive redness prone, not blemish/acne prone skin? Also do you know an alternative for the flannel for sensitive skin?

    hi sally, what do you think of clarins doublle serum (for someone in her late thirties)? it's a major purchase here in my country, so i need help decide if it's worth it??? other option for me is Lierac (we on't have a lot of options here). thanks

    my face is just too sensitive for a flannel,so I use a natural sea sponge instead. it needs keeping clean and all the water wrung out after use though!

    I am cabin crew... I hate when ppl go in one flight and complain about their skin!!!
    Sometimes I have to do 4 flights, or what's even worst, sometimes we have 11 hours of ACTUAL flight time With a full face of make up and not being able to reapply moisturisers,
    I'd LOVE if you could give us, cabin crew of the world, a good list of the best products for this!!!
    THANK YOU!!! xx

      @hmm101alot Před 8 lety

      +Misspapadita I hope Sali replies to you, but in the mean time i would suggest a hydrating primer underneath your make up, you could even try an overnight mask* (they are usually thicker moisturisers - for a boost of hydration) and I would also suggest spritzing a hydrating toner** on top of your skin throughout the flight :-)
      * I've not tried these, but I've heart of the dr jart sleeping mask, origins overnight mask, laneige water sleeping mask and garnier sleeping cream
      ** IMO organic rose water will do i use steenberg food grade organic rose water, but tatcha, jurlique, caudalie, or even boots botanic are widely praised (if you are 35+ you may want a toner with some added benefits such as DHC's CoQ10 Toner - once again this is a suggestion and not a recommendation).
      Hope this is of some use :-)

      @Misspapadita Před 8 lety

      Thanks a million!!! I do pump my rutine, allways use serum, oil and moisturiser before a flight, but I'll check out some of your recommendations. It's awfull when you feel that your skin just needs more!!
      Thanks again!! x

    Interesting to see the differences in skin care practices in other countries. In Asia, using a flannel is a big no no :( Anything that tugs and rubs on the skin is believed to cause friction, which results in aging over time. Instead, rinsing off a cleansing oil works simply with warm water.

      +beautyinasnap very true,all that tugging of the skin is a no.no for me too if I feel the need to exfoliate I use the one above in the video.

    Dear Sali, thank you and the Pretty Upfront team for the fun ánd informative video's! A question; how to take care of (local) exzema? With me it's stress related. Around my mounth. Exfoliate or not? Etc. Any help would be very welcome! Kx

    • @hmm101alot
      @hmm101alot Před 8 lety +1

      +karinvandongen i've had eczema since birth, but now it is intermittent. if you are using a mild exfoliant link pixi's glow tonic (unless the eczema is red and inflamed) that should be fine. i would avoid foaming products as these will further strip the skin of moisture. i prefer to just cleanse (something light with no additives e.g. boots botanics cleansing balm or lyonsleaf beauty balm) then a moisturising toner. I'd avoid retinols during the break out and use a thick moisturiser and oil :-)

      @karinvandongen Před 8 lety

      +hmm101alot Thank you for the advice! I think I'am on track as I'm exactly using the products you mentioned. Also Bepanthen eczema creme is working well for me. Thanks again! kx

    I just wish people would stop saying flannel is for everybody, which is not necessary the case for sensitive skins or those affected with or prone to acne.

    Only three drops of serum? Really? My skin absorps at last two filled pipettes (if that unit makes sense). Does it not have any effect beyond that? I really love using Advanced Night repair though. Finally managed to make the dehydration around my eyes go away. My skin will absorb an equal amount of oil...

    Take the day off balm has been discontinued. Sali, pls recommend something else! Thank you!

    • @PlugInKali
      @PlugInKali Před 8 lety

      +Roxana Gramada I'd recommend Clinique's Take The Day Off Cleasing Oil (it's exactly the same but you don't need to melt it first) or, if you'd rather use a balm, try The Body Shop's Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (the cleasing oil from this line is also phenomenal). There are many other more expensive options, but see if you like these ones first ;)

    • @flutteringazure
      @flutteringazure Před 8 lety

      +PlugInKali just be careful with those Body Shop removers if you are allergic or intolerant to soy, as they contain soy oil as a main ingredient :/

    • @PlugInKali
      @PlugInKali Před 8 lety

      +flutteringazure I'm not allergic to anything and my skin is not sensitive in the slightest, but thanks for the concern ;) I always assume people read the label before slapping stuff on their faces. Specially, if they know they have an allergy. Maybe I give people too much credit? I don't know :P In any case, thanks again for the heads-up :)

    • @flutteringazure
      @flutteringazure Před 8 lety

      +PlugInKali I always read labels because I am allergic, but had the unfortunate experience of a Body Show employee recommending me those products AFTER I'd told them about my allergies... Which just goes to show, you can never be too careful ;)
