  • Inja shows how to disassemble and remove the rear wheel for a tire change in this step-by-step tutorial. His bike is a 2007 Yamaha FZ6, but this is the same for 2006-2010 models, as well.
    Tools you need:
    - Breaker bar
    - 32mm socket (found here): goo.gl/9tEctN

      Thanks! trying to make these videos as helpful as possible. I know, it seems like it should take far longer than it actually does! Saves you ton of money and worry.

    Thanks man. I did my pre-ride checks today and found an inch-and-a-half long drywall screw buried in my rear tire! Can't ride the bike to the shop so I'm happy to see the removal isn't too hard!

      Easy and saves ya money 👌🏽 plus no scratches on your bike after the shop sets their wrenches all over your bike

    Damn I've got an fz1 with the same rear brake caliper and holder. I made it so hard for myself by undoing the caliper. Thanks for the video!

    I'd lie to see how you get the wheel back on. From experience, removal is the easy part.

      Aaron Hall in my "Gearing your Bike for Performance" Sprocket video I kinda show how I do it if you want to check that out. It's not too hard!

      Update. Success. Using your method, I removed the rear wheel, replaced the disc and pads.
      No need to adjust chain or take parts off that didn't need to be taken off. I have ridden the bike on Saturday and Sunday.
      No more squealing. All good. Thanks. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Are you sure they are BEARINGS on either side of the wheel? I'm pretty sure they are SPACERS not actual wheel bearings?? great vid otherwise. Cheers.

    All the talk of the shop, learn to mount and balance your own tires instead. It's not hard.

    • @TheInja
      @TheInja  Před 3 lety +1

      They do it for $20/tire including weights and valve, so I just take the tires there (don't do it enough to get my own setup)

    Try it with the ABS sensor then you'll know pain!
