- It was tough finding a place to camp along the Rocky Mountain Front due to the roads being blocked by snowdrifts and the campgrounds being closed for the season but, just as we were about to give up and go home, we found this beautiful place!

You two are more adventurous than I in those conditions. I'm impressed with what you're willing to do especially at your age when people generally stop taking any chances in life and prefer to be safe at home watching TV. A resounding thumbs up for this video!
I too learned to appreciate trees at a young age, it was at about that same time I came to realized that everything is connected.
Looks like some good old fashioned winter camping fun! Those ribeyes looked Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
When I was a young man, I worked for an excavating company. He was doing a housing development, so my job at task growing a bunch of small oak trees went back 20 years later on Labor Day, and people are grilling out under the trees. That was a good feeling. That day
Rick you are one heck of a driver. Not everyone can 😮 park under normal conditions in that space let alone ice and snow. Be careful and have fun
Grace
As they say: “keeping on your toes”, helps you keep your sense of balance as we get older.
Great video guys,
Sometimes winter or early spring is the best time to camp. No bugs, no people, just peace and quiet.
JT
You're right about that, JT!
Thanks for the idea for soup. I’m always on the watch for easy one pot camping meals.
Like# 5 - that snow is glorious, even if it is a dusting!
Flagstaff has been getting hammered and I’m towing Taj-Ma-Haul up there tomorrow!
Hopefully for you it will warm up pretty soon. We want to head down that way in a few weeks, but we're not sure exactly where we will end up.
The wife and I just love you two. Thank you for all your effort bringing us all the wonderful videos. God bless you both.
Thanks so much, we appreciate hearing that.
Beautiful sites. Some edge-of-my-seat moments. A bit of cooking and gear review. Love and care for one another and the trees. And now I know how to identify an aspen! You’ve covered all my favorite bases for a Gonagin offering. Thanks!
Thank you! Appreciate your comment, "see" you on the next one!
Another awesome video traveling around the most beautiful scenery
in the world especially during the winter with snow everywhere and
being very careful however but it is still very breathtakingly beautiful
countryside there in the Rocky Mountains but stay safe and have a
very Beautiful time traveling and God Bless You both Thank You.
🇺🇲🤠👋🇺🇲
Looks too cold for us! Thank you for sharing, God bless you all!
Me too
Thanks for the trip. Am just using my everyday kitthen products in my van and still have plenty of power with the two AC200P. You said bears and I was just watching Scary Bear Attacks, most of the time they don't seem to have a gun, but the bears need food too. A friend of mine was in the Vietnam War and there was a group of soldiers attacked by tigers. Take care, Mike in Oregon.
What a great episode! Full of interesting animal sign, culinary TREATS and four-wheelin' adventure! Yeehaw! Can't wait to see you in Nevada later this spring! if our stars align. Remember, save your fork! There's PIE!
Thanks for trying some new stoves and table-cute color, as well as using your power source to make coffee. Best of camping.
Wow. Absolutely beautiful up in those mountains. I enjoyed seeing the new products and especially the recipes. Will definitely be trying the soup. Thanks for sharing
Rick, I love your approach to directions 👍
Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. And Rick, I'm from eastern Washington too. I grew up in Stevens county. I was just up in Colville a few days ago.
That's beautiful country there!
Linda we love your cooking ideas. Thank you😊
I absolutely ❤ your videos and adventurous attitudes.
Beautiful country! Such fun pictures.
Love your channel and all you do for us. Thanks Linda and Rick always love your adventures.
Thanks so much, we appreciate hearing from you.
BeeyouTfull! Mahalo nui.
Brave souls, thx for sharing your journey, Much love❤
Thanks for watching this one!
Beautiful views. Love to see the snow in the forest 👍
We really enjoyed this cold video
:) WOW! THANKS MUCH for sharing! SO much SNOW and Ice for 50 degrees! ENJOY and safe travels! ALL the BEST and Cheers! :)
Thanks, Marty!
So enjoy when one of your new videos pops up. Also enjoyed this winter one. My part of North Carolina had no snow this winter, much to my regret.
Great video Rick and Linda . That canned tomato is good with shrimp and sausage on rice or noodles.
That was fun! My wife and I have been on Teton Canyon road many times. We also had to turn around once in the same general area because of snow and ice. We now live back in Texas, close to our daughter, but we still miss Montana!
Wow yall didn't go skinny dipping in the river😂 very beautiful in the snow, great job you 2👍✌
Beautiful area! Beautiful steaks, too 😋
I toast Dave’s 21 seed bread & spread real butter & it is delicious as the butter caramelizes on the warm bread. I also eat it every morning with an avocado spread on it.
Now that sounds delicious.
Looking forward to your fly fishing on the river. That's the only kind of fishing I did when I lived in MT.
Thank you so much:)
Last week was 70’s & 80’s, it hit 85 one day… Had to drive up to the mountains to cool off!
Wish we were there with you, Paul!
Yeeps! Careful now... 🙂🙂
The tracks are from Sasquatch. This the Sasquatch river. A beautiful place for family fun. Be safe
Good video, love your adventures and camping tips. Richard from Canada.
Thanks for watching, Richard!
Wow, Linda, nothing like Martha's veggies. And Rick, nice steak. But somehow I missed the pie for dessert. Stay safe, you two.
Thank you! You too!
Hey Rick & Linda..saw one of those tables on my first trip South several years ago and someone had one. Wasn't real impressed with it. Also..I used to have a small Webber charcoal grill that I almost never used and took up way too much space. I was watching Brian (Adventurevanman) and he was using a Fox foldable grill. Folds flat and fits in a bag.. I've used it many times and love it ! It was a bit more expensive than that one you got ($50) but well worth it in my opinion 😁👍
I looked the Fox grill up and put the link in my video description. It's looks pretty good!
@gonagain I second Pauls grill. Compact and well made. Jeff approved, I would consider it but the Charbroil mini is bigger and holds more coals plus has a lid for good smoking and heat/flame control. Charbroil doesn't breakdown but I have room for it on my back deck.
Hawaiian style a tire rim with rack from fridge lol or refrigerator rack on stones.
Nice T-Rex steaks. Those were huge.
"*Teat-on the river, it chilled my baaaaby...**"
Sorry, had too..
Could have recorded an hour of the bubbling brook by your campsite and use it to go to sleep by, lol. Stay safe and healthy.
Good to see you both. We still have lots of snow here in Central Oregon also.
Great video Rick. Linda excellent visual way to identify Aspen trees.
Take care. 🤠
Thanks, Rob and Helen! I hope you guys had a nice trip south.
Looks like you cooked up some good meals for a cool camp site. I didn’t see any pie! Ya gotta have dessert like maybe warm apple pie? 🥧
Some warm apple pie would have been just right.
“Birch Bark Bread: Follow Linda for more recipes.”
Snow in your boots! Better than “there’s a snake in my boot!”
You're right about that!
Looked like you guys were going to the end of the road whether you wanted to or not. We have a couple of tables like that blue one you had. We like ours and they pack down small.
I think we'll be using it more. Thanks for watching!
Oh I would have rather seen my laptop fall off that table than those steaks😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣
i've seen you back up your trailer so many times, and i've practiced over and over, but i just can't seem to get it right. my little 6x12 cargo doesn't want to go the way i want it to. i've only used it twice because i'm afraid to go anywhere that i can't just pull it straight through. last summer there was an older guy waiting for me to get out of his way so he could pull his 40 ft. fifth wheel into the campground. i'd been trying to back up my trailer for a half hour and was finally in tears. he was so sweet to offer to back it up for me. it took him a nano second to have it perfectly parked where we wanted it. i felt like a fool. will you please do a video about how to back up a trailer? there must be some trick that i just don't get. thanks for all your videos. i love all your adventures.
It comes more naturally to me these days, but that wasn't always the case! The way you learn is to put your hands on the bottom of the steering wheel, palms up, From there, the way the steering wheel goes is the way the back end of the trailer goes. Try it.
Fishing! You oughta hook up with Tenkara Addict and have the nice gentleman show you how to use the telescopic Tenkara Rods. It's a much simpler way to fly fish. I bet you two would have a blast.
That would be cool!
We bought the exact same Trekology table about 3-4 years ago and use it to put our Weber Smokey Joe grill on. Yes, don't put much weight on table and don't slide things around on it either or the table will come apart and collapse. It is a handy little table. Is that a Famiworths coffee maker? I bought one just last week and loving it so far.
Glad to hear that the little table is of some use. Yes, that's the manufacturer of the coffee maker, but we got this one from Walmart under their brand name. It's simple but effective!
Too snowy and icy for this South Texas guy
Long Time No See ! I was wonderin what happened to you ... never see you in my recommended anymore...Hmmmm..... glad I found you !
Tom, hit the bell and =you'll get notification when a new video is up. Glad you found us too! Hope you're doing okay over there, thanks for watching our videos.
@@gonagain, Already on!
Looks like you guys went out of the fridge into the freezer this trip. I like to use my little Charbroil charcoal grill for on the road. Just stores on my rear deck. Good thing there was a turn around up the mountain. Rick, tell the truth, you do carry a set of chains? It looks like we are going to have to look hard at finding an available camp spot in Texas for the eclipse. Some RV parks have raised prices from 50 to 250 a night! OK, take care kids.
Like an idiot, I forgot my chains that trip. I thought about you yesterday when I heard about the campgrounds filling up. One thing you can do, is to be somewhere where you can just pull off the highway for the period of the eclipse itself and stay overnight away from the centerline of the sun's path. Like a hundred miles away.
@gonagain Exactly my thinking. Not the idiot part, the camping away from the centerline and setting up part. I figured there should be a city park or somewhere to hang out, perhaps picnic and bbq while watching the eclipse. That would be Genius! Shear Genius!!! Coyote Genius!
Campendium shows lots of camp areas to chose from so I'm not horribly worried about finding a spot. I could pull the friend card on a couple I know in DFW area. One thing for sure, there should be plenty of prestigious BBQ joints to hit up. Don't worry, I will provide Man With A Bib on the scene reporting of any bbq joints.
Just don't end up in the same situation as the Donner party. Have a good day.
PS. I hope you carry snow chains. LOL.
❤
Looks like the "Clam" tent thingy your using there.
It is! We've had that for several years now and really like what it does for us.
@@gonagain Another u tuber on here , David Haden with Daisy , his dog, got one and liked it a lot.
I hear you folks in Montana are going to get more snow
Yep, you just never know here.
Please add coffee maker to your purchase list. Regards from UK.
Will do!
🐾🙏🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
Odd question. I like your jackets. The green one you have on now, the camo one and others. Could you sometime list the brands, style, etc.?
The M65 field jacket that I wear is an exact Mil Spec one made by Proper. I purchased it on Amazon and really like it.
Now I am on a mission for rib eyes, lol, been to long.
@ the Rubik's table.
ever go see the Megalith in Montana ???? stone work like in Peru
No, we haven't, but we've seen it in videos.
Love your channel! Where did you get the new M65 Field Jacket?
It's a Proper brand and is perfectly Mil Spec. I bought it through Amazon.
Does the birch tree have a B on it? Have you ever taken a small branch from a birch tree, put between your front teeth peeling the bark off and tasting birch beer taste? I do it every chance I get.
Next time we get up to a birch tree we'll have to try that.
It's fun rediscovering your videos from my Taj-Ma-Haul account! Woohoooooooooooooooooo Like# 1.1k
Does the Sub/Tahoe have air-bag kits for the rear suspension to lift the truck and trailer to be level? I'll tell you, having it as a stock feature on the Cayenne is just amazing.
No, ours doesn't feature air bags. I need to check our trailers tongue weight.
@@gonagain I meant, are they available aftermarket - I know they do for the trucks, they must be.
Porsche is just starting to show her age and it is going to cost more to maintain her than replace her. Darn CyberTruck reservation is nearly 800k in line...
🍺☘️
How is the ITEHIL solar panel holding up? Thanks
Still going strong!
Camping in the snow is not for me. You make it look like fun.
It's ok as long as the wind isn't blowing.
Do you keep your trailer hooked up or drop it at each camp site?
We mostly stay hooked up, but might leave it for short periods to get supplies or to go exploring. When we do that we use a Proven Industries ball hitch lock AND a motorcycle chain lock around one wheel. It serves to discourage a trailer thief.
camping the american way 🙂
I have a reinforced nylon cloth version of the trekology table
looks like a good time to be farther south
Yes and we hope to be able to hit the road again soon.
Nice, Really Nice. So cool to be out & enjoy a trek in the Great Wide Open with you Rick and you Linda. Helps me relax and forget about the tense world we are experiencing, crazy election year at full throttle. Thanks for another recipe Linda, and those Ribeyes had me going. Nothing Better than a fabulous meal outside in nature. Makes Everything Taste Top Notch. Rick, do you carry chains??? That kind of frozen snow Begs for them. Be Safe, Stay Warm, and the Hot Desert is waiting for you. 🏜 (BTW, it's Me Vincenzo. Got a new server but it doesn't show the name)(Always Something)
Hello Vinny!!! I wasn't carrying chains that trip because I was stupid and left them at home.
@gonagain I'm Freezing down here in St.G it's hard to believe that it hasn't warmed up yet. Maybe I have no blood in my body. I Need the Sun. Hurry Up.
