    Oh, I just bought one of those kits from Amazon. I paid $50 for it. But I also got a guitar cradle to hold the neck and a mat to put on my work bench. All for $50. Pretty cool if you ask me. I’m kind of new at doing my own guitar work, so this tool kit will come in very handy for me. You have a lot of great things on your channel so I subscribed to your channel . I have been playing guitar for many years since 1974 to be exact but never did learn to work on them but sure learn how to play them. So I’ve been doing some homework and I am learning how to work on these instruments. I am glad you have this channel I subscribe to your channel you’ve got some pretty cool stuff. Hope to hear some new stuff. Thanks for your videos. Have a great day. Love it.❤️👍🏼🎸🎼🎶😎🎸

    Thank you much! I got this exact kit for Christmas and I was pretty lost on what about half of those tools were for exactly

      I know. Even thought they list them by name some can still be a bit confusing.

    Thanks dude. That's a great video especially since that kit has zero instructions and doesn't even hint what tools are used for what. I set out to look for a youtuber to explain it all and you made the exact video I hoped to find. Naturally I assume they are very low quality tools, but to get started this sounds like it was a good purchase to help maintain my own guitars a bit between luthier visits.

      Yeah they are not what you might call luthier quality but i was really surprised and they are holding up well. I've done nut changes and even used them to build one of the Stewmac guitar kits. The nut files are not the best but work but say the radius gauges, something like that should last forever.

    good info. man. what's the grit size on those Files, with the red handle?

    What's the grinding sponge for? Thanks for the video btw.

    • @dareangelmedia
      @dareangelmedia  Před 2 lety +2

      A sanding sponge for sanding and polishing frets. It is basic and best to buy separate and different grits of tools, paper or pads for a more professional job.

    That set of nut files are quite useless compared with other files for the same purpose. The other tools are OK, however this set alone is not enough for basic setup and maintenance.

  • @lungchuithailiukamei6488

    The second one how to use.

    Not a properly balanced kit - string cutter should be combined with winder, you can get rid of lubricant, pins, girth ruler, stone, but having no crown file in this kit makes it totally incomplete

    • @dareangelmedia
      @dareangelmedia  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I'm not sure how good the crown file would be for the price. Personally I have a more expensive one I bought from Stew-Mac. But then you would also want to follow up crowning with fret erasers or polishing pads as well. I guess they had to draw the line somewhere.

    What’s the best Kit you can buy?

    • @dareangelmedia
      @dareangelmedia  Před 3 lety +1

      Well Stewmac.com has some of the best luthier quality guitar tools out there plus a lot of other really cool stuff! They can get pricey though but are lifetime tools.
