That made me chuckle. HA HA
$65-$75 for a capo??? How can they justify pricing it literally 4-5x higher than their competitors?
I have this one and it works just fine -- www.amazon.co.uk/Donner-Guitar-Acoustic-Electric-Cinnamon/dp/B00YRF35HO/ref=sr_1_5?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1512038551&sr=1-5&keywords=capo
I have 3 Capps, and I have never bought a capo... Not sure how that happened
They don't cheap out on plastics, and the frettpad can be near instantly changed whenever you wish; or to fit whatever you own. Plus it doesn't look like some dollar store brand item.
Check out there vids,
mitch mitchelson you mean a capoo
nice reference there 89
Case freshener
Me: *leaves case in corner for 6 months and find a spider living in it that has died of natural causes*
I laughed out loud man!!!! Lmao
I don’t have case freshener, but long story short the people who originally owned my guitar had hid heroin in the case and tried to cover it up with cheap cologne. Now I use it to play at church and every time you open the case you get a good whiff of “Brown Sugar” and cologne lmao

This video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix my self a sandwich. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store. There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm really a shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I can introduce my self. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she has a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person. I want the best for her and I harbor no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seems happy with her boyfriend, so I did not bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it, I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well. I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already when I first saw her. Besides, I am quiet happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wants to live some other life without me in it, so I said, okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness. My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep. Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally can't take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up. I told her, you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get my self a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video. She said, you know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer. So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has two minutes of play time on it.
Cool
Ha!
Lmaooo
Clean what a masterpiece
Dr.
Dammit, I hoped all the replies would be "cool"
90% of the video- Tyler trying to look hot
10% of the video- talking really slowly about guitar gear
0:01 when you came to know that her parents aren't at home!
Thrasher81 lol
Lolol
Oh yeah
LoL
Im surprised he didn’t say, “I am Connor, the android sent by CyberLife”
Ayyyy
they're both intps apparently (at least according to personality-database, so make of that what you will lmao)
Nut Sauce. Nothing like having those nuts properly lubricated. :)
En Japonés Con Raft If you go on Amazon, you can buy liquid lubricant that's a suspension of silicone and teflon. It works much better, it's less expensive (you get a much larger amount for the same price), and it stays exactly where you put it (no running). I use it on nuts, string trees, and bridge saddles, in addition to using it as a household lubricant.
Lawrence Genereux Any brand in particular you suggest?
"Household Lubricant" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I totally agree with your assessment of HOSA cables. They've got anything you can imagine. Great quality and prices are very reasonable.
One item to add is Velcro One-Wrap cable ties. You get 50 on a roll (they're about $6 per roll) and when you're using your cable, you can just wrap it around the cable so you can find it when you're ready to roll it up again!
1:15 dat action tho, dem strings are flying
1:11 that action is so high holy shit
Failure is not an option Holy shit you're right
bruh
I was thinking the same thing... Or does he just have Extremely tall frets?!?
Action is high but I'm pretty sure it's his particular preference. Never seen a Paul Reed Smith with action that high.
I like high action
Getting quality, shielded cables changed my life. Cheap cables are a false economy too; they'll cost you more in the end.
That capo looks rad, man. I actually am about to buy a new capo so I may have to just hold off and see what the Tyler throws in my inbox!
I think a tuner is invaluable and more important than some of the "nice to have" accessories.
Pretty much all guitarists already have a tuner
Anyone who has a phone should have a tuner
Buying tuners is silly, there's free apps for that now.
Thelema well if you’re playing a gig and you go out of tune you don’t get your phone out
Yeah because you can't just run your guitar through a phone these days. Unheard of.
"Other Herbs"
Why are you so creepy in the intro 😂
It's like Poppy lol
That was the best part!!
Hey, Vsauce Micheal here!
@@jamesiyer4937 Like Poppy from Kingsman?
@@photo_horak No poppy the youtuber
Planet Waves makes a better string winder. It winds strings, can be used as a peg puller, and has a string cutter.
Steven that’s what I use. It is very nice
That’s what I have
Cheers for the videos mate, you definitely helped me get back into guitar, wish I could get back the 10 years that I wasn't playing, keep the vids coming bud, killing it
For the past month,
I've been watching your videos and just now subscribed.
You're truly an amazing Teacher.
favourite guitar accessory: a bent nickel I found outside a McDonalds at 2 in the morning that I use as a pick

Just bought Guitar Super System 1 and 2. Best Christmas present ever, looking forward to start getting some knowledge
Love the channel. Keep up the great work, Tyler!

Caught my Telecaster watching this earlier. Hopefully it's just a phase.
Lmao
For me the Fast-Fret string conditioner is a must. It coats and cleans your strings, which both reduces friction and keeps the strings from corroding. It has a similar effect as the coating on Elixir or Cleartone strings, but can be used for any kind of metal strings.
Another must is the pick wedgie. It is a tiny rubber piece that grips between the strings above the nut and gives a convenient place to keep extra picks.
Your videos are really great man, i have seen you since you had 10 k subscribers, KEEP IT GOING !
I don't have a guitar , why i am watching this ¿
Planet Waves string winder/string cutter/bridge pin puller. It's nice to have everything in one piece of gear
Other than the usual accessories, my favorite is a usb rechargable headphone amp. It plugs right into your guitar, has tone, volume and gain controls and plugs right into your headphones or a small speaker.
I chill in the living room at night rock in out in my apartment while the wife and kids sleep. When I'm done...I just have my guitar, headphones, mini (fits in the palm of your hand) amp and my pick to put away.
It beats the hell out if hauling my practice amp and cords out just to jam a bit. Its also easy to stash if I need to go do something in a hurry.
I wish I had this since I started playing.
I’m about to buy my 1st 7string so this video is great for me cos I’ve been wondering for a while about what cleaning products to get and you’ve given that info and much more! Thanks Tyler keep shredding 🤘
Thanx for the heads up on that multi tool brother and thanx for all ur other guitar maintenance videos u have most certainly been a vital person I have come to rely on for advice on guitars look forward to upcoming videos u make and much love to u and every other musician out their in the guitar community keep up the good work brother
No Kirk Hammett Wah-Pedal...??

Crystal Armenta LOL!!
Straplocks. Nuff said.
I was actually wondering about these some of these items. Thank you.
Cool video!! Thank you for the suggestions. I did not know about the Hosa guitar wipes. I got a Hosa cable awhile back for really cheap and I gotta say it has been great a cable. I did not think it was going to last and it has been awesome. I am glad to see Hosa getting some good recognition!
My guitars prefer being dirty
Is this a joke? Cuz its funny
Franklin Dumago this is no joke lmao, mine are constantly getting dirty
Other guitarists put their guitar in the case.
Me: "You guys put your guitar in the case?"
Do I need a guitar for any of these items?
This is the most brought to you in part by video I have watched about any music products.
Thank you! I'm a beginner and I was actually wondering about this. Very convenient!
*Hi, Vsauce.*
Don’t use monster grips, use cat tongue picks, they’re aweosme
That pocket guitar stand thing is exactly what I need for rehearsals. Cool!
Monster grips...must be great for cold outdoor busking! Going to get me a set....Thanks-John.
What about Eddie Van Halen's power drill?
I need to get monster grips
Thanks for the tips!
Dude, Thanks a billion times!!!!! Never thought of anything to take care of my guitars, I simply complained when they didn't sound well and spent a huge amount of time thinking it was me playing the tones incorrectly. Thanks again!
My favorite guitar accessory? The guitar.
Second accessory? My fingers
Third accessory? The strings
Fourth accessory? The pickups
0:02 Vsauce Hey Michael here...
Caleb Berrios Hahahaha

Cool video man! Will try out the pick grip for my channel on acoustic martin guitar - didn't know about them. Please make more of these video!
That little Ibanez Multitool is super useful. I mainly bought mine because of the trussrod adjustment wrench it has, since Prestige series guitars have different trussrods than most guitars.
FYI Dunlop Max Grip pick exist
Longest infomercial you ever done.
Thank you Sir. This was very useful information

What are you Tyler's neighbor?
i agree
i like soup

mushroom soup with croutons
I'm more of a tomato basil man myself
hmmm, a bit too salty for my preferences
i dont know, split pea is amazing to me
Great video dude!
Can I adjust the trus rod of a Gibson les Paul with the Ibanez mtz11 tool?
Hosa Rocks!!
I smell......... SPONSORING! TYLER, HOW COULD YOU?! 😂😂😂 Dude, even if you were sponsoring, it's totally fine. I've left sarcastic comments before about how dumb it is when people get mad over sponsoring. You have every right to sponsor if you want to.
Did you even watch the vid? He said it wasn't paid.
Yeah, I know. He just always acts like people are going to jump down his throat if he doesn't say that. I was saying that even if he was sponsoring, he has every right to do that. He's the one giving us videos. He doesn't owe us anything.
Very true and agreed.
👍👍👍 Cool, bro. Glad to see that there are decent and rational people in this world.
Yop Glo nobody cares ......
Anything that comes in a glass, a tuner, guitar strings and height adjuster, neck flatness checker, spare guitar, the list goes on and on.
I was looking at straplocks for a while and honestly found those cheap plastic round bottlecap things and they work just as good $3 for 2 and never had a strap come off or even loose they're amazing
666 views! Coincidence? I think not !
Hotel? Trivago
Illuminati confirmed!!
Fuck Satan. Poser.
Ajay Paismanathan watch the video in reverse.Tyler obviously worships Satan
why you were creepy HELLO :)
lol cheers bro
Bonus item that is great: GHS Fast Fret...
GET THIS STUFF!! I got it for $5 and it acts as a string cleaner and freshner. because the cleaner gives the strings a slippery feel, it lets you do guitar slides and solos with ease. even though I play guitar hours at a time per day, this has lasted me a whole month.
defenitley worth it and i am suprised that its not on this list
I have a rocky Mountain slide caddy, I put it on the back of my headstock, and it holds my fret slide. Unfortunately, only rocky Mountain slides fit on it without falling off, so you'll have to get a new slide with it too, but it is SO worth it. Their slides are so nice
I like trains
Gremlygunk heh no no no *train sound*
Tuner??????
Guitar Studio 2.0 tune by ear
Hi!
I can't find the cables you recommend in my local market.
Are fender deluxe series good?
What length should I get for use at home?
I have been using Deoxit for a while now. It saved one of my amps, that I thought was going bad. Turns out I had oxidation in one of my jacks causing the audio to go in and out. Same thing one a few pedals that I've had for 15ish years.
It's good stuff.
I like soup
P Jn me to
P Jn wut kind of soup do u like?
Wait is the pick on 1:54 is Dunlop tortex U.S.A. .88M I owned that pick too it's cool
You know, this is such a great video to put out AFTER Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday are already over...
I got the multi tool when I got my SG, it came with it
So the string wipes are basically overpriced wipes, and the pot spray is basically overpriced WD-40
Pretty sure I wouldn't recommend using baby wipes or chlorox wipes on your strings, so no. Also pretty sure WD-40 is a petroleum product and can harm your guitar's finish, so, again, no. #Education
I'm a fan of the GHS Fast Fret cleaners, lasts much longer than a pack of wipes. Planet Waves XLR8 cleaner works the same. Also, for grippy picks, nothing beats the Dunlop Max-Grips picks, although now I need to change my guitar nickname from "Fumbles" to something else.
Music is Win i thought wd40 is water based
No, it's petroleum based, which is why it's so good at loosening rusted bolts. And you wouldn't want a water based lubricant/cleaner used on your electronics, either, as that could cause corrosion.
WD stands for water displacement. It's made for mechanical machinery. Deoxit instantly removes oxidation, it's made specifically for electronics and is a very different product. Works fucking great too! czcams.com/video/dZYKD3pWcpo/video.html
Or you could just use a rubber band and a pencil as a capo and if you want to stop feedback just put a sock on your guitar just like Malcolm Young used to do
R.I.P Malcolm Young
The Ibanez multi tool is awesome! I bought an RG Prestige and I love that little sucker. I use it on all my guitars.
My top 10
(not in any specific order)
1. Aerosol can. Those small tiny corners that are nasty and dusty? No problem.
2. Allan wrenches. For your action. More of a must have.
3. String cutters. Yes real strong cutters. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had some regular clippers just naw away at strings and it do absolutely nothing.
4. Pedal board. Yes an actual pedal board. It’s so much more neat and clean and non messy than having pedals everywhere being knocked about.
5. Backup strings. Strings break mid solo? No problem, no trip to the store, just go ahead and replace.
6. Neck conditioner. Yes he said it here. And yeah, neck is made out of wood which is living. So you want to keep that thing moist and clean.
7. Wireless guitar adapter. So much more neat and clean than having a cable around. Which can be stepped on and broken. This gives you so much freedom.
8. Microfiber cloth. Clean your guitar and not worry about scratches or smudges.
9. Capo. Obvious for playing difficult songs that actually require a capo.
10. A kind of sheet to quickly look at if you forget how to tune to a certain tone.
(All in my opinion)
This man is on drugs

One of my favourite accessory is picks!
Different thicknesses and shapes
I have been hypnotised into subscribing
I've got the little yellow Dunlop string winder. It fits perfectly in my altoids tin.
The capo unlocked to me loads of songs, it's my favorite one
I bought the Axe-Handler after watching this and it is one of the best purchases I have made as a guitar player.
hello, i skateboard, and i also play guitar, and i would like to let anyone know that does the same that you can use grip tape as the little pick grip things
Hi Tyler!! Nice video. By the way, what hosa cables are you using? Is it the pro or the edge? Thanks.
I have an old Silvertone Twin-Twelve. Would the DeOxit be appropriate for cleaning the pots on that?
can someone explain to me what are expensive capos better at ? i have cheapest one and inever had problems with it
i have a neck-through guitar where the neck is matte and the body is glossy, what should i use to clean the neck
Hi I'm a blues player but I've been wanting to play a bit more rock and metal but I want to keep some blues aspects in my music if it's a possible how would I do that how would I play metal and rock with bluesy twists
I got a string wonder with a string cutter at the end of it. It is a really cool tool to have. Two in one!
