I use a Z-bend....with a U in the middel of the rod...you can squeeze or lengthen the U to center the control interface ;) works if your wire is strong enough (1.1mm will do)
Think of resolution as servo steps - you can have the same travel distance, but you can have many steps in between the two endpoints. If you have less steps, the servo movement will be jumpy and twitchy. With more steps, the smoother the movement gets. You often want as much resolution as possible.
I crashed my jetiger into the ground at very high speed on its maiden due to to small control throws! Damage was pretty bad but i fixed it, set big throws and now it is a treat to fly.
On the topic I have 15 different brand of servos, no hobbico untill My Cessna 350 Corvalis showed up, maiden was great. So I did my tear down after maiden and the servo arm was broken to the elevator. Long story short why can't servo heads be universal?? I mean I have 30+ planes and not one control arm will fit the corvalis rrrrrrrrrr. Great vid guys
i want to change the control rod position on my little umx Champ those little horns are delicate and stuck in foam that could easily be damaged- so do you use the pliers to bend the rod or to bend the plastic horn ? or both ?
David is from Sweden. Resolution is how sensitive the control stick is, and how little you can move the control surface per movement of the stick... Spraynpray is not right, because movement and resolution are something different.
Hi Guys, thanks for another great video. Can you please advise what that tool was that gave you the "L bend". No not the pliers :-) the little red thing that you twisted... Thank you.
Hey this is my fiances account so pay no attention to the name or picture. I am a guy. Anyway I am in desperate need of advice about my plane. Also I have a question about a competition that I supposedly lost.
Why is this video age restricted?

The more your servor arm moves in relation to the control surface the smoother and more precise it is.
Love this quick Fast Tip Videos!
ok thought you could put the connection on any hole on the linkage now this newbie knows a bit more thanks

Nasty prop scar at 0:57! I have one, but it's from a circular saw.
Yes, My controller had the resolution turned down on my first flight. I had no control and it came down nose first.
Your channel is awesome
Don't forget to always have your control rods attach to the horns directly even with the hinge itself!
You are the best

I had my f4f wildcat really tamed down on the ailerons, and crashed because I did a loop and ended up inverted, followed by a nosedive.

What is meant by resolution ?
can move in smaller increments
Instead of carbon fiber, you can use clothes hanger wire instead
can you tell me what "resolution" is? Anyone? And david sounds like on a different accent...
The resolution is how fine the control movements are. Lower resolution means more course adjustment, higher resolution allows for better fine-tuning
nice
What do you do if you are getting as much flex as you show in the video.
David is Swedish right? Could hear that at once! :D Norway here!
